With the development of information technology and the application of information technology jumped into popularity, the electronic document was used as a form of information transmission and data storage, more and more electronic documents are facing the risk of being illegally acquired and viewed. In order to solve this problem, this paper proposes a novel file content protection method, which based on the file content partitioning restructuring. This method strengthens the file content protection and improves the documents security. But it also greatly increases the speed of encryption and decryption process.

Application of proper orthogonal decomposition and radial basis functions for crack size estimation using particle swarm optimization

Complex engineering problems require simulations, which are computationally expensive in cases of inverse identification tasks since they commonly requires hundreds of thousands of simulations. This paper propose a method based on model reduction for crack size estimation, combining the proper orthogonal decomposition method with radial basis functions. The reduced model is validated by comparing the obtained boundary displacements with the corresponding results from a finite element model. This inverse procedure is formulated as the minimization of the difference between the measured and computed values of displacement at selected boundary nodes, called sensor points, using particle swarm optimization algorithm. Convex and a non-convex specimens have been considered for investigations of crack presence, and identification of its size, different crack sizes have been tested to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed approach.

With the application and development of wireless network in industrial fields, wireless network technology can be applied to control network systems at field control layer, which achieves a hybrid wired/wireless networks with industrial-grade real-time performance. This paper focuses on the integration architecture and performance evaluation of the industrial wired/wireless hybrid networks, and proposes a synchronized optimization method for hybrid integration. A periodic real-time communication model in gateway based on multi-token is established. Especially, a delay model of data synchronization update and data are built in the case of low-speed and high-speed token network. The token cycle synchronization is proposed according to the integration situation, which is significant in reducing network delay and improving delay stability of integration hybrid network. At last performance evaluation on conversion time, control cycle is carried out to study the hybrid integration gateway model and gateway optimization. © 2016 ACM.

Testing designing an electrical device compliant with the electromagnetic compatibility directive

The goal of presented work was to build an electronic device in order to test the effectiveness of different EMC-improving solutions. Three EMC tests were done in order to check the created device compliance with the electromagnetic compatibility directive. Each of them was conducted for both industrial and non-industrial parameters (voltage and field strength), according to IEC PN-EN 61000 standards. Three tests were done: conductive immunity test in EM clamp, radiated immunity test in GTEM chamber, radiated emission test in GTEM chamber. Firstly, the device's conductive immunity was examined. The set of possible solutions was created by examining existing designs, papers, books and producers' recommendations. In result, different component configurations were chosen to determine the most EMC-effective one. Next, electromagnetic compatibility of proposed device configurations was tested in the GTEM chamber (radiated immunity and radiated emission). Tests results are presented on charts and analysed in order to verify if designed device face requirements of the electromagnetic compatibility directive. It was verify which of proposed electromagnetic compatibility improving solutions can solve problems with electromagnetic compatibility.

This paper deals with the implementation of an online platform for Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI), which provides anticipatory and deliberative tools to address societal expectations with regard to resrarch and innovation and mobilises information technology tools for inclusive, responsive and sustainable research. In particular, we have developed a Forum, which is a Web-based application and service for stakeholders (members of the RRI community) to deliberate and discuss about RRI. Different interaction modalities are supported by the Forum, such as: `Caucus Process', Suggestion Board, Partnership Initiative, etc. A special attention is devoted to the Citizen Jury and Tacit Knowledge modules that represent innovative features of our Forum. The outcomes show that our online Forum represents an effective solution to address RRI issues by adopting e-Government and knowledge management approaches. This work was carried out as part of EU FP7 Responsibility project.

The JFK Coma Recovery Scale-Revised (JFK CRS-R), a behavioral scale, is often used for clinical assessments of patients with disorders of consciousness (DOC), such as patients in a vegetative state. However, there has been a high rate of clinical misdiagnosis with the JFK CRS-R because patients with severe brain injures cannot provide sufficient behavioral responses. It is particularly difficult to evaluate the communication function in DOC patients using the JFK CRS-R because a higher level of behavioral responses is needed for communication assessments than for many other assessments, such as an auditory startle assessment. Brain-computer interfaces (BCIs), which provide control and communication by detecting changes in brain signals, can be used to evaluate patients with DOC without the need of behavioral expressions. In this paper, we proposed an audiovisual BCI system to supplement the JFK CRS-R in assessing the communication ability of patients with DOC. In the graphic user interface of the BCI system, two word buttons (“Yes” and “No” in Chinese) were randomly displayed in the left and right sides and flashed in an alternating manner. When a word button flashed, its corresponding spoken word was broadcast from an ipsilateral headphone. The use of semantically congruent audiovisual stimuli improves the detection performance of the BCI system. Similar to the JFK CRS-R, several situation-orientation questions were presented one by one to patients with DOC. For each question, the patient was required to provide his/her answer by selectively focusing on an audiovisual stimulus (audiovisual “Yes” or “No”). As a case study, we applied our BCI system in a patient with DOC who was clinically diagnosed as being in a minimally conscious state (MCS). According to the JFK CRS-R assessment, this patient was unable to communicate consistently. However, he achieved a high accuracy of 86.5% in our BCI experiment. The KM3NeT Collaboration has tackled a common challenge faced by the astroparticle physics community, namely adapting the experiment-specific simulation software to work with the CORSIKA air shower simulation output. The proposed solution is an extension of the open source code gSeaGen, which allows the transport of muons generated by CORSIKA to a detector of any size at an arbitrary depth. The gSeaGen code was not only extended in terms of functionality but also underwent a thorough redesign of the muon propagation routine, resulting in a more accurate and efficient simulation. This paper presents the capabilities of the new gSeaGen code as well as prospects for further developments. Solution method: The readout of CORSIKA simulation was adapted from the base script provided together with CORSIKA and implemented as a standalone flux driver in gSeaGen. The propagation routine has been redesigned to support the geometry of extensive air shower simulations and to improve its efficiency in propagating particles to the detector. In this paper, we propose an automated surface inspection approach based on generalized low-rank approximations of matrices(GLRAM). The GLRAM uses a series of low-rank matrices to approximate the structural texture backgrounds of the original defective images. Then the difference images obtained by the original defective images and the low-rank approximations will retain the defect areas. Finally, we can easily segment the defect area from the original image using a simple threshold segmentation method. Experimental results show that our proposed method can extract defect areas well from the structurally textured image.

In line with the theory of schema sampling, a hypothesis could be made that sufficient supply of loworder building blocks (BBs) was one of the necessary conditions for a genetic algorithm(GA) to work. A consequential question of this hypothesis regards, when a certain fitness function is optimized with a commonly used GA, whether it is rare or common that there are plenty of low-order BBs. It is remarked that, when a base-m encoded GA is applied to a fitness function that is linearly combined of sinusoidal basis functions with integral frequencies, it is unlikely to obtain order-1 BBs with fixed positions at multiple loci, i.e., it is rare that there are plenty of order-1 BBs. However, if a considerable part of the sinusoidal basis functions are with frequencies exponential to a positive integer m, a base-m encoding can provide relatively more order-1 BBs compared with the encodings with cardinalities other than m.
