In the contribution new results in a control design of a general three-dimensional non-holonomic integrator (NHI) including drift terms is proposed. Beside global asymptotic stability (GAS) proposed non-linear controller assure also minimal input norm during transients and in steady states and high dynamic in output response for a piecewise constant reference input. Due to appropriate input modulation internal states follow natural periodic orbits necessary to fulfill non-holonomic constraints. Introducing a non-linear transformation that describe error dynamics feedback stability is proven by using Lyapunov argumentation. Practical value of the proposed design is illustrated on the example of induction machine torque control along with a simulation and experimental results.

Landslide early warning systems can be implemented based on the monitoring and prediction of landslide displacements. The internal mechanisms of landslides are very complex, and precise mechanistic models of landslides are difficult to obtain; therefore, data-driven models are usually applied. From the perspective of dynamic system theory, landslide development should be considered a dynamic process. Because traditional models, such as feed-forward neural networks, can only express static relationships, the applicability of these static models is quite limited in landslide prediction tasks. In our study, recurrent neural networks are established and trained into dynamic predictors of landslide displacement using a training algorithm named reservoir computing. A shortcoming of the reservoir computing algorithm is that the models will not perform well with insufficiently large training sets. Because practical landslide displacement recordings are usually quite short, interpolation techniques are employed to enhance the training of the dynamic predictors. The method proposed in this paper is applied to predict the developments of three landslides in the Three Gorges area, and the predicted values are close to the actual measurements. Improvements relative to sophisticated static predictors and basic dynamic predictors are obvious.

A recommender system with good performance for an e-commerce web site is important for both customers and merchants. In most of the existing recommender systems, only the purchase information is utilized data and the navigational and behavioral data are seldom concerned. In this paper, we design a novel recommender system for comprehensive online shopping sites. In the proposed recommender system, the contextual information data, such as access, click, read, and purchase information of a customer, are utilized to calculate the preference degree to each item; then items with larger preference degrees are recommended to the customer. In addition, nonexpendable items are distinguished from expendable ones and handled by a different way. Lastly, we structure an example to show the performance of the proposed recommender system. The results show that the proposed method is well-performed.

The use of supervising of position control in modern industrial automation and building automation systems is becoming more and more common. In addition to basic features and reliability of these systems, increasingly important in their functionalities are opportunities for inter-communication and exchange the process data with other subsystems, visualization of their work or archiving of this data. The interesting specifics of those particular systems are those executed as a unique solution for scientific purposes. This paper based on selected, completed projects, presents the demands of modern automation and control systems - hardware and software system solutions to achieve their desired functionality. It presents both: a way to integrate various systems at the hardware level, but also a way of software objects and communication protocols used for development of control of the whole system.

In line with the theory of schema sampling, a hypothesis could be made that sufficient supply of low-order building blocks (BBs) was one of the necessary conditions for a genetic algorithm(GA) to work. A consequential question of this hypothesis regards, when a certain fitness function is optimized with a commonly used GA, whether it is rare or common that there are plenty of low-order BBs. It is remarked that, when a base-m encoded GA is applied to a fitness function that is linearly combined of sinusoidal basis functions with integral frequencies, it is unlikely to obtain order-1 BBs with fixed positions at multiple loci, i.e., it is rare that there are plenty of order-1 BBs. However, if a considerable part of the sinusoidal basis functions are with frequencies exponential to a positive integer m, a base-m encoding can provide relatively more order-1 BBs compared with the encodings with cardinalities other than m.

Context-aware plays a pivotal role in the wisdom network of information processing. Due to the limited resources, context conflict is inevitable in context-aware. User satisfaction is a good reflection for the wisdom degree of the network. In this paper, considering the user satisfaction, we propose a novel context-aware conflict solution model based on set pair Analysis (SPA). The model obtains the best server mode by the maximum satisfaction connection degree to solve the conflict in context-aware. The simulation analysis shows that the proposed method is effective and can solve many users competition for the same scene of conflict.
