After data preprocessing, the feature dimension of NSL-KDD dataset increases from 42 dimensions to 122 dimensions. High dimensional data will make it more difficult for the model to learn the characteristics of the data, and there will be a lot of redundant data in the data set. Therefore, this paper uses the deep belief network to reduce the dimension of the characteristics of the intrusion detection data set after data preprocessing, and uses the stacking algorithm as the classifier to construct the intrusion detection model. Through comparative experiments, it is proved that the model has good performance in the four evaluation indexes of accuracy, precision, recall and F1 score, and effectively improves the performance of intrusion detection model. © 2022 SPIE.

Ultrasound is a widely used imaging technique and is appreciated for its non-invasiveness, absence of radiation, widespread availability, and compact equipment. Ergonomic difficulties in manual handling of the probe could be enhanced by a robotic controlled ultrasound. The paper addresses the development of such a system which enables remote operation of a ultrasound probe and includes haptic force feedback as well as video conferencing components for visual feedback. The development process followed a user-centered approach by investigating needs of potential end-users. Preliminary results demonstrated the functionality of the developed system for generating medical image data under laboratory conditions. © 2022 by Walter de Gruyter Berlin/Boston.

In this information era, even a movie lover may feel overwhelmed when facing numerous movies on the movie website. Therefore, an efficient movie recommendation system is needed. In this paper, two different recommendation systems were compared, based on the user-based collaborative filtering and the content-based collaborative filtering respectively. Basically, several relevant studies were referred to, and a huge dataset was used from MovieLens. After pre-processing the data, where the data was transformed into matrixes of each user's rating and the corresponding movie (the rating matrix represented the eigenvector of each user), cosine similarity was used to obtain the similarity relationship between users by calculating the cosine similarity between those eigenvectors. Then, K-NearestNeighbor (KNN) algorithm was used to select a certain number of users having the highest similarity with the target, based on which predicted how the target would rate a movie and recommended the movie with the highest predicted score to the target. In the part of using the content-based collaborative filtering, films in each category were ranked based on the average and the number of the scores and the user's favorite movie types were obtained by the user-movie genre preference matrix based on the scores that users gave to each type of movies. The movies with the highest score in each target user's favorite movie type would be recommended to the target. Experimental outcomes indicate that both algorithms generally meet the needs of users despite of the differences in the results. © VDE VERLAG GMBH - Berlin - Offenbach.

A Study of Encapsulation Temperature Field of Dry-type Air-core Reactor with the Structure of Equivalent and Aluminum Wire-Insulation

During the operation of the Dry-type Air-core Reactor (DAR), the insulation material deteriorates due to local overheating of the encapsulation, and the reactor is burned in severe conditions. Therefore, studying the temperature rise of the reactor plays an important role in the reliability of its operation and the economy of design and production. According to the structural characteristics of the reactor, the three-dimensional thermal field model of the aluminum wire-insulation structure of the reactor is established, and the encapsulation temperature field distribution of the reactor under steady state is obtained. Compare the simulation result with the encapsulation temperature field distribution of the equivalent structure. The results show that the highest temperature of the aluminum wire-insulation structure encapsulation rises to 73.51◦C, which is located in the middle of the reactor. Each encapsulation hotspot is located about 20% from the upper edge of the encapsulation. In the temperature rise test, a Fiber Bragg Grating (FGB) temperature sensor is installed about 20% from the upper edge of the encapsulation. The test shows that the most significant value of temperature rise of the reactor is 73◦C, which is located in the middle of the reactor. The temperature rise test results verify the accuracy of the simulated calculation value of the temperature field of the aluminum wire-insulated reactor and provide a reference for the temperature rise calculation and temperature rise monitoring of the DAR. © 2022 River Publishers.

The paper discusses the problem of ship autopilot design based on the adaptive (approximate) dynamic programming approach (ADP). The main objective of this paper is to propose the design of a ship's course controller within the framework of computational intelligence techniques, i.e. (in our case) based on model-free optimal regulation. This method is attractive in that it does not require knowledge of the system model to generate optimal process control. The key idea is to iteratively solve the Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman (HJB) equation based on a simple value function approximator structure. In this way, by introducing such basic elements as evaluation and improvement, we are able to carry out an intelligent optimization process based only on the data received online. Thus, this is a kind of data-driven control methodology. The simulations of the ship course change process confirmed the high efficiency of the proposed controller. An important feature of this approach is also the elimination of the tuning problem. © 2023 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V. D2D(Device-to-device) improves communication quality by reusing cellular users' spectrum resources, becoming one of the key technologies for super-large data processing and massive devices accessing in the 5G. Due to load imbalance and co-frequency interference caused by distance change or increase in the number of users, this paper introduces interference management strategy in the 5G scenario where D2D communication and cellular communication coexist. By establishing up and down link resource model of D2D user reuse cellular communication to measure user throughput, and then control transmitting power and the distance between user and base station to reduce the influence of interference on the system. Simulation results show that compared with other traditional algorithms, the network performance of D2D communication based on interference management is significantly improved. © 2022 SPIE.

Nowadays, the number of malicious attacks on cyber-physical systems is in a continuous growth. Juridical investigation of such cases is a powerful means of fighting against such phenomena. The present paper presents a chain of methods that can be used for collecting incriminating probes regarding possible illegal activities performed in an industrial infrastructure. The chain consists of hardware and software tools needed for collecting, analyzing, filtering and storing relevant information regarding malicious activity. Through this chain of methods, computer system investigators can analyze and identify evidence more efficiently. An integrated system with several analyzers, distributed in distinct geographical locations, proves useful in collecting forensic evidence in cybercrime investigations. The proposed system offers flexibility in deploying and configuring the investigation tools on a distributed infrastructure.

Bidirectional Patch-based Correlations with Local Rigidity for Global Nonrigid Registration

The registration of time-varying 3D shapes with high degrees of freedom remains a challenging task. Most existing techniques attempt to address this issue by solving an optimization problem defined on deformation graph with as-rigid-as-possible smoothness prior, which usually struggle to capture large scale displacements. Motivated by the insight that a set of points tends to collectively undergo significant rigid motion accompanied by slight nonrigid deformation, we propose a two-step approach to address nonrigid registration in a coarse-to- fine manner. In the first step, coarse correlations between source and target points are constructed by estimating a set of rigid transformations for local patches which are regional clusters of points. To leverage more contextual information, a bidirectional registration module is introduced that estimates both the forward and backward patch-wise rigid transformation fields (PRTFs). Subsequently, in the second step, the source point set is warped by blending both forward and backward PRTFs and fed into a deformation optimization module. Here, unidirectional point-based correspondences are sought to refine the global nonrigid transformation fields (GNTFs) while adhering to local rigidity constraints. To illustrate the efficacy of our method, we conduct tests on challenging scenarios involving human datasets, including large displacements resulting from fast inter-frame motions or pose changes. Both qualitative and quantitative results demonstrate that our approach outperforms several state-of-the-art methods in terms of robustness and registration accuracy. IEEE

Pilot-operated solenoid valves have the advantage of fast response times and can meet high pressure and large diameter requirements through their structural characteristics, making them widely used in various fields. The pilot-operated solenoid valve discussed in this article is applied in a new energy system a sewage treatment system based on solar photovoltaic and solar thermal technology. The pilot-operated solenoid valve designed in this paper controls the flow rate and velocity of the sewage. This article uses Fluent to calculate the flow coefficient of pilot-type solenoid valves at various openings, exploring the flow characteristics of these valves. Based on computational fluid dynamics, simulations of the cavitation flow field were performed for pilot-type solenoid valve models at different openings, resulting in pressure contour plots and liquid velocity vector diagrams within the pilot valve. The study investigated the effects of the valve opening and the pressure difference at the inlet and outlet on the cavitation conditions within the valve. This provides a foundation for subsequent analysis of the vibration characteristics and structural optimization of solenoid pilot valves. The results indicate that negative pressure occurs within the solenoid pilot valve at all openings, leading to cavitation phenomena. When the opening is greater than or equal to 0.5, significant negative pressure appears near the valve port of the valve sleeve, with more pronounced cavitation phenomena, which can easily lead to cavitation bubbles and deformation. © 2024 IEEE.

During the process of mineral grinding, the ball mill generates the mechanical signals containing rich information due to different positions, which include mill loads and mill load parameters (MLPs). Actually, as one of the key factors, online MLPs detection is usually exploited to realize the intellectualization and improve the production efficiency of mineral processing plants. In this paper, on the basis of the ensemble empirical mode decomposition technique, the multisource and multicomponent mechanical signals of an experimental ball mill under changing ball, material, and water load conditions are analyzed to obtain different physical sub-signals via the intrinsic mode function. © 2023 SPIE.
