Abstract-The article presents the history of the development of sports programming as a sport in Russia. The main stages of the formation of the legislative basis for this sport are given. The rationale and description of the process of training athletes in higher education institutions are given - possible traj ectories in the disciplines of “algorithmic programming” and “product programming”, the influence of the development of sports programming on improving the quality of IT education. As an example, the organization of training students in the discipline of “algorithmic programming” at the Lipetsk State Technical University is given. The activities of the Lipetsk regional branch of the All- Russian Sports Federation to popularize this sport including among students are also described.

The maintenance cost of technological equipment makes a significant impact on the cost of production. Therefore, the reducing these costs by using optimal maintenance plans can lead to an increase in the products competitiveness. The paper describes the approach to develop optimal maintenance plans for a multi-component devices. The proposed algorithm is based on the minimization of costs which are described taking into account the reliability characteristics of each component of the device. When the process is discretized over time, the dynamic programming method can be used to solve the problem. The description of the developed software implementing the algorithm to create an optimal maintenance plans is given. The proposed algorithm is studied on the example of strapping machine which is a multi-component device. © 2020 IEEE.

Event-based Video Reconstruction via Spatial-Temporal Heterogeneous Spiking Neural Network

Event cameras detect per-pixel brightness changes and output asynchronous event streams with high temporal resolution, high dynamic range, and low latency. However, the unstructured nature of event streams means that humans cannot analyze and interpret them in the same way as natural images. Event-based video reconstruction is a widely used method aimed at reconstructing intuitive videos from event streams. Most reconstruction methods based on traditional artificial neural networks (ANNs) have high energy consumption, which counteracts the low-power advantage of event cameras. Spiking neural networks (SNNs) are a new generation of event-driven neural networks that encode information via discrete spikes, which leads to greater computational efficiency. Previous methods based on SNNs overlooked the asynchronous nature of event streams, leading to reconstructions that suffer from artifacts, flickering, low contrast, etc. In this work, we analyze event streams and spiking neurons and explain poor reconstruction quality. We specifically propose a novel spatial-temporal heterogeneous (STH) spiking neuron suitable for reconstructing asynchronous event streams. The STH neuron adjusts the membrane decay coefficient adaptively and has better spatiotemporal perception. In addition, we propose a temporal-frequency calibration module (TFCM) based on the Fourier transform to improve the contrast of the reconstructions. On the basis of the above proposed neuron and module, we construct two SNN-based models, referred to as the STHSNN and TFCSNN. The goal of the former is to reduce the artifacts and flickering in reconstructions, whereas the latter focuses on enhancing the contrast. The experimental results demonstrate that our models can yield reconstructions in various scenarios, achieving better quality and lower energy consumption than previous SNNs. Specifically, the TFCSNN and STHSNN achieve top-2 performance among the SNN-based models, with energy consumption reductions of 3.

Software requirements prioritization plays a crucial role in software development. It can be viewed as the process of ordering requirements by determining which requirements must be done first and which can be done later. Powerful requirements prioritization techniques are of paramount importance to finish the implementation on time and within budget. Many factors affect requirement prioritization such as stakeholder expectations, complexity, dependency, scalability, risk, and cost. Therefore, finding the proper order of requirements is a challenging process. Hence, different types of requirements prioritization techniques have been developed to support this task. In this survey, we propose a novel classification that can classify the prioritization techniques under two major classes: relative and exact prioritization techniques class, where each class is divided into two subclasses. We depend in our classification on the way the value of ranking is given to the requirement, either explicitly as a specific value in the case of the exact prioritization techniques class, or implicitly in the case of the Relative prioritization technique class. An overview of fifteen different requirements prioritization techniques are presented and organized according to the proposed classification criteria’s. Moreover, we make a comparison between methods that are related to the same subclass to analyze their strengths and weaknesses. Based on the comparison results, the properties for each proposed subclass of techniques are identified. Depending on these properties, we present some recommendations to help project managers in the process of selecting the most suitable technique to prioritize requirements based on their project characteristics (number of requirements, time, cost, and accuracy). © 2024, CC BY.

In this paper, a path planning method is developed for co-loading in master-slave automatic harvesting. It is shown that, the adjustment of the unloading port position relative to the grain tank can be performed jointly by the longitudinal relative position between the vehicles and the angle of the unloading arm. Then the loading path based on the Hamiltonian circuit is designed to guide the motion of the unloading port during the loading process. By improving the loading uniformity, the loading path proposed can maximize the capacity utilization of grain tank which can reduce the round-trip frequency of the transport vehicle and improve the energy and time efficiency of the harvesting operation. Simulation results are provided to validate the excellent performance of presented path planning method.

Affordance detection presents intricate challenges and has a wide range of robotic applications. Previous works have faced limitations such as the complexities of 3D object shapes, the wide range of potential affordances on real-world objects, and the lack of open-vocabulary support for affordance understanding. In this paper, we introduce a new open-vocabulary affordance detection method in 3D point clouds, leveraging knowledge distillation and text-point correlation. Our approach employs pre-trained 3D models through knowledge distillation to enhance feature extraction and semantic understanding in 3D point clouds. We further introduce a new text-point correlation method to learn the semantic links between point cloud features and open-vocabulary labels. The intensive experiments show that our approach outperforms previous works and adapts to new affordance labels and unseen objects. Notably, our method achieves the improvement of 7.96% mIOU score compared to the baselines. Furthermore, it offers real-time inference which is well-suitable for robotic manipulation applications. © 2023, CC BY-NC-SA.

In this paper, a novel adaptive terminal sliding-mode control (ATSMC) method is developed for road vehicles with uncertain dynamics. It is shown that the designed adaptive laws can recursively update the controller parameters based on the estimation values of the unknown parameter bound in the Lyapunov sense, and then the lateral position error can be driven to zero in a finite time. In comparison to the conventional sliding-mode-based vehicle lateral control method, the proposed ATSMC not only ensures fast error convergence, but also eliminates the requirement for known bounded information in controller design. Simulation results are presented to demonstrate the good performance of the proposed ATSMC scheme.

Due to large amount of image data, the accuracy and real-time performance of classification are difficult problems in image classification. On the one hand, the broad learning system (BLS) has achieved good results in the timeliness of classification. On the other hand, deep learning feature extraction effect is good, but its structure is complex and the training time is long. Therefore, based on the above advantages of both methods, this paper proposed BLS based on deep features for image classification. Firstly, a feature extractor is constructed based on the ResNet101 to obtain the deep features of the classification image. Then, the feature nodes and enhancement nodes of BLS are constructed based on the deep features. Through the experiment, our method has two performance on benchmark datasets: high classification accuracy, good real-time. © 2021, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

The prevailing referring expression comprehension (REC) method is based on two stages: 1) detecting multiple candidate proposals using an object detector and 2) aligning proposals with text descriptions. Existing two-stage models have achieved significant improvements with excellent alignment modules. However, their alignment modules treat each proposal equally without filtering expression-unrelated proposals. These expression-unrelated proposals may interfere with the alignment modules' ability to accurately reason about the target proposal. These proposals also increase the difficulty of training alignment modules. To solve this problem, we propose a new framework, that can suppress expression-unrelated proposals for alignment modules. Specifically, we first design a suppression module, which calculates the relevance scores between the proposals and the expression by using the semantics in the expression. Then, these scores are integrated into three basic alignment modules, including subject, location, and relationship modules, to guide each module to focus on the expression-related proposals. We conduct extensive experiments on three benchmark datasets, and the results show the effectiveness of our suppression module and performance improvement. © 2023 IEEE.
