The development of an attitude and altitude control system of an unmanned aerial vehicle for visual inspection of aerial electrical lines is presented. The system was implemented using quaternions algebra and the altimeter equation for the orientation estimation with the purpose of controlling the quadcopter. The proposed system was simulated in Matlab using a Newton-Euler model and compared with the performance on a real prototype operation, obtaining similar results in both cases.

A solution of intelligent, optimum guaranteed-cost and robust, control for a class of uncertain switched nonlinear systems via switched fuzzy models possessing time delays and uncertainties has been developed. Following the multiple Lyapunov functions approach, a non-fragile state feedback controller and a switching law are designed such that the closed-loop system is asymptotically stable and the guaranteed cost function possesses an upper bound. Then an optimization problem of the non-fragile guaranteed cost control is solved. The considered optimum non-fragile guaranteed-cost control problem asymptotic stability of subsystems is not assumed, nonetheless the overall system is guaranteed asymptotically stable. Numerical and simulation results for an illustrative example are presented to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed intelligent control design.

Printed circuit boards (PCBs) that represent a significant part of electronic waste are potential sources of material and energy. In the paper we focused on study of a cutting as an alternative method of conductive ways separating from plastic board as one of stages of the printed circuit board recycling procedure. High velocity of cutting belt is connected with enormous heat production. Due to the generation of high temperatures may lead to caking of separated components of metal and plastic materials. For this reason we formulated mathematic model of the cutting process and on the base we can determine of temperature fields in PCB materials during cutting. Of courses of them we can calculate the heat intensity and consequently the critical velocity of cut ting belt without damage of PCB materials.

A problem of optimal design of a filter for heart rate variability analysis is considered in this paper. Multistage, multirate structure is designed to implement ECG-signal processing with minimum computations. The number of stages and decimation factors at each stage are calculated. It is shown that optimal design of a filter allows significant processing time reduction to be achieved.

The main objective of this paper is to perform a robust controller design using discrete-time sliding mode control (DSMC). In the control scheme, two-degree-of-freedom (2-DOF) control strategy turns the DSMC, which generally utilized state feedback into output feedback controller. The designed control scheme is considered with feedback and feedforward combination by implementing the zero phase error tracking control (ZPETC), which particularly intended for the nonminimum phase electro-hydraulic actuator (EHA) system application. In the experimental works, a sinusoidal trajectory with different frequencies is employed to assess the DSMC performance under nonlinear and uncertain condition. Experimental results show the DMSC with perfect tracking control approach is capable to reduce the phase lag occurred due to nonlinear phenomenon. The proposed controller also is highly robust under various points of trajectories and significantly shows enhancement in tracking control performance as compared to the conventional controllers.
