Innovative fusion of VGG16, MobileNet, EfficientNet, AlexNet, and ResNet50 for MRI-based brain tumor identification

This study presents a novel approach for brain MRI classification by integrating multiple state-of-the-art deep learning (DL) architectures, including VGG16, EfficientNet, MobileNet, AlexNet, and ResNet50, with an attention mechanism. The primary objective was to accurately detect the presence or absence of brain tumors—a critical challenge in medical diagnosis. The methodology was validated on a comprehensive dataset comprising 3264 brain MRI scans, systematically divided into training, validation, and testing subsets. Preprocessing techniques tailored for MRI data were employed to enhance input quality. Each model was initially developed and evaluated individually to establish a performance baseline before their integration. The proposed ensemble technique capitalized on the complementary strengths of these models to enhance classification accuracy and robustness. The inclusion of an attention mechanism further refined the models by emphasizing critical regions in the MRI scans, thereby boosting predictive performance. In addition, data augmentation techniques were applied to mitigate overfitting and increase dataset resilience. Performance metrics, including precision, accuracy, and recall, demonstrated significant improvements across all evaluations, particularly for the models incorporating the attention mechanism. These findings highlight the potential of combining advanced DL architectures with attention mechanisms as a promising strategy for precise and reliable brain tumor classification in MRI scans. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

The metaverse is a developing field that crosses several areas of multimedia research. In this paper, we introduce the 256-MetaverseRecords dataset, a novel and extensive collection of annotated screen recordings in the form of videos from various virtual worlds of the metaverse. We describe the process of creating the dataset, the quality criteria for the annotations, and the exploration of the dataset. We also show four experiments to evaluate the performance of different feature extraction methods for Metaverse Recordings (MVRs): MVR segmentation, audio event detection, and object and interaction detection based on this dataset. Our results demonstrate that existing methods have limitations and leave challenges in dealing with the diversity and complexity of metaverse data, and that more research is needed to develop metaverse-specific techniques. Our dataset can serve as a valuable resource for the research community and foster the development of new applications and solutions for the metaverse. © 2024 Owner/Author.

This paper addresses the challenges in integrating Metaverse Recordings in Multimedia Information Retrieval as a new type of multimedia. Specifically, we describe the characteristics of video content and explain the key differences of a metaverse to other videos. We present a specialized process to analyze and index Metaverse Recordings. We demonstrate that existing techniques can be used for metaverse-specific retrieval, but need content-specific adaptions. Furthermore, we evaluate a prototypical implementation based on the proposed methods with respect to the impact on the retrieval process. © 2024 Owner/Author.

Achieving a high level of quality in the AV industry involves understanding the complexity of the production cycle with the constant challenges of applying appropriate standards. The need for compliance based on relevant certificates implies the creation of an environment of trust between manufacturers, component suppliers, and end customers. Research should sublimate the most current standards from various fields related to data protection, security, system sustainability, environmental management, financial sustainability, and business transparency. The success of a complex parts supply system is impossible without a stable approach to IT security. The control of production processes sometimes involves using non-standardized techniques, and one of the applicable ones is work-in-progress (WIP), which describes the use of partially finished raw materials in the stages of obtaining final products. Key points and the contribution of the current study are in getting a better overview of the situation within this area related to standards and the financial problems that can arise due to a lack of understanding of standards compliance. The software engineering field has long focused on creating high-quality software despite limited *** defects before the testing stage of software development can enable quality assurance engineers to con-centrate on problematic modules rather than all the *** approach can enhance the quality of the final product while lowering development *** defective modules early on can allow for early corrections and ensure the timely delivery of a high-quality product that satisfies customers and instills greater confidence in the development *** process is known as software defect prediction,and it can improve end-product quality while reducing the cost of testing and *** study proposes a software defect prediction system that utilizes data fusion,feature selection,and ensemble machine learning fusion techniques.A novel filter-based metric selection technique is proposed in the framework to select the optimum features.A three-step nested approach is presented for predicting defective modules to achieve high *** the first step,three supervised machine learning techniques,including Decision Tree,Support Vector Machines,and Naïve Bayes,are used to detect faulty *** second step involves integrating the predictive accuracy of these classification techniques through three ensemble machine-learning methods:Bagging,Voting,and ***,in the third step,a fuzzy logic technique is employed to integrate the predictive accuracy of the ensemble machine learning *** experiments are performed on a fused software defect dataset to ensure that the developed fused ensemble model can perform effectively on diverse *** NASA datasets are integrated to create the fused dataset:MW1,PC1,PC3,PC4,and *** to the results,the proposed system exhibited superior performance to other advanced techniques for predicting software defects,achieving a remarkable accuracy rate of 92.08%.

Cloud computing is providing IT services to its customer based on Service level agreements(SLAs).It is important for cloud service providers to provide reliable Quality of service(QoS)and to maintain SLAs *** service providers need to predict possible service violations before the emergence of an issue to perform remedial actions for *** users’major concerns;the factors for service reliability are based on response time,accessibility,availability,and *** this paper,we,therefore,experiment with the parallel mutant-Particle swarm optimization(PSO)for the detection and predictions of QoS violations in terms of response time,speed,accessibility,and *** paper also compares Simple-PSO and Parallel *** simulation results,it is observed that the proposed Parallel MutantPSO solution for cloud QoS violation prediction achieves 94%accuracy which is many accurate results and is computationally the fastest technique in comparison of conventional PSO technique.

Stakeholder identification (SI) illustrates a critical part of the requirements elicitation activity. It helps software analysts gather accurate system requirements to ensure high quality and avoid system failure. Stakeholder identification considered one of the earliest stages of project development. The main problem related to project success and failure is identifying the real stakeholders and selecting the right one. The lack of stakeholder identification methodologies and the shortage of previous research in identifying the stakeholders for different systems, encourage the research to propose a guideline framework, assist analysts in building the convenient methodology for identifying real stakeholders. Stakeholders are defined based on different projects and the various services they provide. This difference leads to the fact that a particular and systematic technique must be used to identify stakeholders based on the project's types. The exploration of stakeholder identification matters and the guideline framework is a baseline for future research in requirements engineering. © 2022 IEEE.
