This Lightweight Deep Learning (LDL) for Multi-View Human Activity Recognition in Ambient Assisted Living Systems can significantly improve the conditions of daily activities for people living with the elderly, disabled, or simply needing assistance. Human Activity Recognition (HAR) is essential for these systems; currently, the task of identifying the wide array of human activities remains complicated. This study introduces an improved deep learning solution for recognizing human activity from multiple viewpoints in AAL environments. By utilizing skeleton data from various perspectives, such as the RHM-HAR-SK dataset, we demonstrate useful improvements in accuracy for activity recognition when compared with single-view methods. Our LeNet and Vision Transformer models have been carefully designed to excel with skeletal data, delivering outstanding performance while keeping computational requirements to a minimum. In this research study also highlights the benefits of multi-view human activity recognition in ambient assisted living and emphasizes the effectiveness of efficient deep learning models in enabling assistive technologies that are real-time and resource friendly. These advancements support more independence and safety by supporting the development of AAL systems that are more sensitive and intelligent.

User Experience (UX) evaluation has a significant importance for any interactive application. Mobile device applications have additional limitations to convey good user experiences (UX) due to the usage and features of mobile devices in ubiquitous computing contexts. There are a lot of automated tools available for evaluating, such applications particularly developed for Android and iOS. Automated UX evaluation provides a number of strengths which are able to overcome the limitations of non-automated (moderated) counterparts. Automated UX evaluation is regarded as unexplored field, especially when it is adopted for the UX evaluation of complex mobile application. Despite these, automated UX evaluation tools are unexplored and should only be used in coupling with traditional UX evaluation techniques. Hence, this study aims to discuss the literature in automated UX evaluation and to highlight the UX measurements that merit further investigation. This paper presents the most fre-quently used automated UX evaluation tools for mobile applications. Therefore, the study analyzes existing automated UX tools and frameworks and identifies which UX attributes and measurements of automated UX evaluation are likely to be of use in future research. Moreover, we discuss the strengths and limitations of automated UX evaluation methods for mobile applications. Finally, the paper provides an overview of automated UX evaluation techniques and tools. The use of blockchain technologies and Smart contracts to improve the quality of Microgrid network management is considered. The necessity of using a special mathematical apparatus for system analysis is noted, taking into account the nonlinear nature of dynamic processes in the network and, in particular, the presence of sharply changes in the load. The advantages and disadvantages of the approach known in the literature are analyzed, when the search for the optimal power distribution among generators to ensure the minimum costs of the Microgrid is carried out on the basis of nonlinear programming methods. Graphs of transient processes in the network are given and their corresponding analysis is carried out. © 2023 IEEE.

Visible light communication(VLC),which is a prominent emerging solution that complements the radio frequency(RF)technology,exhibits the potential to meet the demands of fifth-generation(5G)and beyond *** random movement of mobile terminals in the indoor environment is a challenge in the VLC *** model of optical attocells has a critical role in the uniform distribution and the quality of communication links in terms of received power and signal-to-noise ratio(SNR).As such,the optical attocells positions were optimized in this study with a developed try and error(TE)*** optimized optical attocells were examined and compared with previous *** novel approach had successfully increased minimum received power from−1.29 to−0.225 dBm,along with enhanced SNR performance by 2.06 *** bit error rate(BER)was reduced to 4.42×10−8 and 6.63×10−14 by utilizing OOK-NRZ and BPSK modulation techniques,*** optimized attocells positions displayed better uniform distribution,as both received power and SNR performances improved by 0.45 and 0.026,*** the results of the proposed model are optimal,it is suitable for standard office and room model applications.

In today digital era traditional manual attendance systems in educational institutions are both inefficient and outdated. This study assesses the impact of implementing technology-driven attendance systems developed using the Waterfall Model, which promises to revolutionize educational settings by enhancing operational efficiency and reducing administrative burdens. The research involved deploying automated attendance software across various institutions and comparing its efficacy with traditional methods in terms of time efficiency, accuracy, and cost. The results indicate that technology-based systems significantly reduce the time and effort required for attendance recording, minimize manual errors, and offer real-time data that helps quickly identify attendance patterns and issues. These improvements lead to enhanced student engagement and accountability. Moreover the transition to automated systems results in considerable administrative cost savings by decreasing reliance on extensive paperwork, thereby allowing for a better allocation of resources towards improving the educational experience. Ultimately, the study confirms that adopting modern attendance monitoring technologies not only streamlines processes but also enhances the educational framework, making institutions more efficient and responsive. This shift benefits administrative and educational outcomes and sets a robust foundation for future educational practices, highlighting the critical role of technology in advancing educational environments. © 2024 IEEE.

This Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) uses technology to improve the well-being, autonomy, and security of seniors and disabled individuals. AAL services depend on Human Activity Recognition to detect human behaviors from sensor data. Compared to single-view models, multi-view HAR, which aggregates data from multiple sensors, provides improved accuracy and reliable detection. In this review, we assess recent progress in multi-view HAR for AAL, focusing on the value of lightweight deep learning models. We cover the development of HAR systems, as well as the emergence of multi-view datasets and highly efficient deep learning models that are explicitly designed for AAL scenarios. Furthermore, we address problems such as data synchronization, data protection, and adaptability, as well as possible remedies like sensor fusion and transfer learning. As a result, we also demonstrate the potential of multi-view HAR to increase AAL services and outlining future research trends in providing adaptive, efficient, and privacy-aware systems.

The pervasiveness of mobile devices has fostered a multitude of services and applications, but also raised serious privacy concerns. In order to avoid users' tracking and/or users' fingerprinting, smartphones have been tightening the access to unique identifiers. Nevertheless, smartphone applications can still collect diverse data from available sensors and smartphone resources. Using real-world data from a field study we performed, this paper demonstrates the possibility of fingerprinting users from Wi-Fi data in mobile devices and the consequent privacy impact. From the performed analysis, we concluded that a single snapshot of a set of scanned Wi-Fi BSSIDs (MAC addresses) per user is enough to uniquely identify about 99% of the users. In addition, the most frequent Wi-Fi BSSID is sufficient to re-identify more than 90% of the users, a percentage that goes up to 97% of the users with the top-2 scanned BSSIDs. The Wi-Fi SSID (network name) also leads to a re-identification risk of about 83% and 97% with 1 and 2 of the strongest Wi-Fi Access Points (APs), respectively. Artificial intelligence(AI)has recently been used in nanomedical applications,in which implanted intelligent nanosystems inside the human body were used to diagnose and treat a variety of ailments with the help of the Internet of biological Nano Things(IoBNT).Biological circuit engineering or nanomaterial-based architectures can be used to approach the *** nanomedical applications,the blood vascular medium serves as a communication channel,demonstrating a molecular communication system based on flow and *** paper presents a performance study of the channel capacity for flow-based-diffusive molecular communication nanosystems that takes into account the ligand-receptor binding *** earlier studies,we take into account the effects of biological physical characteristics such as blood pressure,blood viscosity,and vascular diameter on channel ***,in terms of drug transmission error probability,the inter-symbol interference(ISI)phenomenon is applied to the proposed *** numerical results show that the proposed AI nanosystems-based IoBNT technology can be successfully implemented in future nanomedicine.

Beauty or good looks is one aspect of human attraction. Highly attractive people have an 8 to 12 % higher success in negotiations. One of the things that can be used to increase attractiveness is makeup or cosmetics. Makeup can be used alone or through the services of a Makeup Artist (MUA). MUA services are often used during important and once-in-A-lifetime events such as weddings. The difference in beauty before and after using this makeup cannot be measured but only seen and assessed manually. One application of machine learning in this field is Facial Beauty Predictions (FBP). FBP measures the value of a person's facial beauty or good looks. This paper investigated and implemented FBP on mobile devices, which makes it easier to assess anytime and anywhere. We investigated FBP models using five CNN architectures, including EfficientNetB0, VGG-16, ShuffleNet, MobileNet, and Inception. After evaluation, we choose MobileNetV2 CNN architecture as the primary model for mobile application FBP. Experiments on the FBP dataset show that MobileNetV2 achieves Pearson Correlation 0.7893 with only 10.5 MB for model file size. The model implemented for mobile devices works well in 13 different tests. © 2022 IEEE.
