There has been a notable increase in research focusing on dynamic selection (DS) techniques within the field of ensemble learning. This leads to the development of various techniques for ensembling multiple classifiers for a specific instance or set of instances during the prediction phase. Despite this progress, the design and development of DS approaches with late fusion settings and their explainability remain unexplored. This work proposes an open-source Python library, Infodeslib, to address this gap. The library provides an implementation of several DS techniques, including four dynamic classifier selections and seven dynamic ensemble selection techniques, all of which are integrated with late data fusion settings and novel explainability features. Infodeslib offers flexibility and customization options, making it a versatile tool for various complex applications that require the fusion of multimodal data and various explainability features. Multimodal data, which integrates information from diverse sources or sensor modalities, is a common and essential setting for real-world problems, enhancing the robustness and depth of data analysis. These data can be fused in two main ways: early fusion, where different modalities are combined at the feature level before model training, and late fusion, where each modality is processed separately and the results are combined at the decision level. The library is fully documented following the Read the Docs standards. In this digital era, attracting new students from outside the region to enter a college or university is difficult. This problem can be solved with good marketing and information dissemination techniques. Information is a type of data that has been processed and organized so that it has relevant meaning for the recipient. Useful information can be used to help make decisions, gain new knowledge, or solve problems. One medium for providing information is by using videos that can be uploaded to YouTube for dissemination. However, problems arise when the information depends on the point of view of the video content creator, who may not provide enough information sought by users in their videos. Virtual reality (VR) technology can be pursued as one of the solutions to overcome the lack of detail and control in videos for users to get the expected information. One of the technologies in VR that allows people to explore a three-dimensional virtual world on a web platform is the 360° WebVR technology. Since users have full control over what can be seen using WebVR, it is expected that this technology can assist users in getting deeper and detailed information related to their needs. This study aims to determine the effectiveness and efficiency of using YouTube videos and WebVR in distributing information and delivering detailed information to users. The results show that WebVR technology has the potential to provide greater control over more detailed information to users who use it, in contrast to traditional two-dimensional video playback technology. © 2023 ACM.

COVID-19 pandemic restrictions limited all social activities to curtail the spread of the *** foremost and most prime sector among those affected were schools,colleges,and *** education system of entire nations had shifted to online education during this *** shortcomings of Learning Management Systems(LMSs)were detected to support education in an online mode that spawned the research in Artificial Intelligence(AI)based tools that are being developed by the research community to improve the effectiveness of *** paper presents a detailed survey of the different enhancements to LMSs,which are led by key advances in the area of AI to enhance the real-time and non-real-time user *** AI-based enhancements proposed to the LMSs start from the Application layer and Presentation layer in the form of flipped classroom models for the efficient learning environment and appropriately designed UI/UX for efficient utilization of LMS utilities and resources,including AI-based *** layer enhancements are also required,such as AI-based online proctoring and user authentication using *** extend to the Transport layer to support real-time and rate adaptive encrypted video transmission for user security/privacy and satisfactory working of *** also needs the support of the Networking layer for IP-based geolocation features,the Virtual Private Network(VPN)feature,and the support of Software-Defined Networks(SDN)for optimum Quality of Service(QoS).Finally,in addition to these,non-real-time user experience is enhanced by other AI-based enhancements such as Plagiarism detection algorithms and Data Analytics.

An Automated Framework to Detect Emotions from Contextual Corpus

The emotion extraction or opinion mining is one of the key tasks for any text processing frameworks. In recent times, the use of opinion mining has gained a lot of potential due to the application of the potential customized aspects of the consumer relations and other customized applications. However, the application of sentiment analysis or opinion mining is highly challenging as the accuracy of the sentiment analysis depends on the input text corpus. The input text corpus can be highly fluctuating due to the inclusion of emojis or local language influences and finally the use of a wide variety of the regional languages. A good number of parallel research outcomes have aimed to solve these challenges in the recent time. However, most of the parallel research outcomes have primarily three challenges kept unsolved as firstly, the emojis in the text corpus is mainly removed but not translated into sentiment scores, secondly, the translation of the texts from various regional languages and the translation is mainly true translations rather than the contextual translation. Finally, the use of the dictionaries in the actual translation tasks takes a lot of time to process and must be reduced. Henceforth, in order to solve these challenges, this work proposed a framework to automate the weighted emoji-based sentiment analysis, Unicode based translation process to reduce the time complexity and finally use the collaborative sentiment analysis scores to build the final sentiment models. Data growth has led to the need to apply new ways to process data. Graph databases are increasing their use, which can be seen over the years, with the Neo4j system being the most common. The biggest problem is the small number of implemented constraints that can be used. One of the shortcomings to be explored is the need to create domains, which are used when large amounts of data are manipulated and where the value needs to be limited or when multiple attributes have the same restrictions and data types. The creation of domains can be applied multiple times. This paper summarises the implementation of domains using Neo4j and the Java programming language. © 2024 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

With the modern city infrastructure and increasing number of subjects in the traffic environment, there is a need for increased number of parking places. As the parking place is usually not used for a whole day, it could be shared with the others in the certain community. As it eliminates the useless driving due to the finding of free parking place, the traffic becomes more effective and produces less emissions. We designed the application for smart city environment, which helps to achieve the described situation. It consists of two parts, the frontend and backend. The data processed by the backend part can be further used for the city infrastructure improvements. The front-end part, designed in React Native, represents the graphical interface. The implementation of e-learning platforms in higher education offers opportunities to enhance education quality and increase access to flexible learning. However, challenges arise, including limited guidance for students, high dropout rates, and obstacles faced by instructors. This qualitative case study explores the challenges and opportunities of online learning from instructors' perspectives. Data was collected through a survey administered to 23 instructors, and thematic analysis was conducted to identify the themes of challenges and opportunities. Findings reveal challenges in interaction, practical session delivery, monitoring, assessment, and identity verification. Institutional support challenges include insufficient training and socialization. Individual Challenges encompass digital skills, health concerns, and fatigue. Technological challenges involve availability, integration, capacity, and network-related issues. Despite these challenges, online learning provides opportunities for time effectiveness, flexibility, personal development, innovative teaching methods, and collaboration with external experts. © 2023 The Authors. Enhancing intrusion detection in IIoT: optimized CNN model with multi-class SMOTE balancing

This work introduces an intrusion detection system (IDS) tailored for industrial internet of things (IIoT) environments based on an optimized convolutional neural network (CNN) model. The model is trained on a dataset that was balanced using a novel multi-class implementation of synthetic minority over-sampling technique (SMOTE) that ensures equal representation of all classes. Additionally, systematic optimization will be used to fine tune the hyperparameters of the CNN model and mitigate the effects of the increased size of the training dataset. Evaluation results will demonstrate substantial improvement in performance when the optimized CNN model is trained on the balanced dataset. The proposed IDS will be evaluated using the IIoT-specific WUSTL-IIOT-2021 dataset, and then its generalization capability will be verified using the non-domain specific UNSW_NB15 dataset. The model’s performance will be evaluated using accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score metrics. The results will demonstrate that the proposed IDS is highly effective with performance exceeding 99.9% on all performance metrics. The IDS is also highly effective in detecting intrusion for generic IT networks achieving improvements in excess of 30% compared to the default baseline model. The results emphasize the versatility and effectiveness of the proposed IDS model, making it a reliable and adaptable solution for enhancing network security across diverse network environments. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2024.

Using wireless signals, it is possible to map some patterns in the received signal to human activities in the vicinity of the wireless receiver. One of the potential applications of this is to detect the direction of human movement in a user device-free manner. To achieve it, we propose to use the channel state information (CSI) of received Wi-Fi signals and process the raw CSI using calibration, Hampel filter, and discrete wavelet transform to minimize the noise and retrieve the useful features of phase and amplitude components of the CSI. Then machine learning algorithms are applied to processed CSI to classify the direction of human walk. Our experimental study with off-the-shelf commodity Wi-Fi hardware and diverse users showed that the proposed system can produce 92.9%, 95.1%, and 89% accuracy for data from two different environments, combined data, respectively. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Artificial intelligence technologies for the mobile health and smart hospitals are important, by applying predictive Analytics and Deep Learning algorithms and developing new models. The main objective is applying artificial Intelligence methods in the medical field, especially for heart/brain stroke diseases diagnosis and prediction for emergency patients' cases. Thus, to save patients' lives, also through the integration with IoT and wearable technologies, which are integrated with AI and DL algorithms that help to make sense of bio signals predictive analytics such as biomedical sensors processing. and complex diseases predictions and early detection like heart and stroke diseases. Also dealing with EMG sensors for stroke prediction. Moreover, Intelligent Mobile Health based on our previously introduced project of AI smart hospital and Mobile AI stroke prediction system for connected health and stroke emergencies. In this paper, a new deep learning model has been built and tested for Stroke EMG signal prediction by modifying the Inception-v3 architecture and other deep learning models. Also, this paper compares current results of Mobile AI health Inception model with our previous developed Mobile AI stroke engine that depends on hybrid LSTM deep learning for EMG signals prediction. Both models have achieved high accuracies. Moreover, the inception model is more stable and higher average accuracies that reaches 98%. Moreover, AI research and future industry implementations for Generative AI Dell Technologies servers is discussed. © 2024 IEEE.
