The manual analysis of job resumes poses specific challenges, including the time-intensive process and the high likelihood of human error, emphasizing the need for automation in content-based recommendations. Recent advancements in deep learning, particularly Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) for Multi-label Text Classification (MLTC), offer a promising solution for addressing these challenges through artificial intelligence. While CNN is renowned for its robust feature extraction capabilities, it faces specific challenges such as managing high-dimensional data and poor data interpretability. To address these limitations, this study employs the Fuzzy Discernibility Matrix (FDM) feature selection technique to determine the relevance of skills for each job vacancy. FDM assigns weights to the features of each job category and ranks their relevance based on the highest scores, which are then utilized in the MLTC CNN model. The integration of FDM and MLTC CNN serves as the foundation for generating content-based recommendations derived from key features in job resumes. This study produces a content-based job recommendation system that displays the top three job categories, accompanied by explanations of the skills supporting each selected category. These recommendations also consider cosine similarity values between analyzed items and the integrated results of FDM and MLTC CNN. The application of FDM for feature weighting has been proven to enhance multi-label text classification outcomes by providing better insights during the feature selection process. With a recall of 97.26%, precision of 94.81%, and accuracy of 98.58%, the MLTC model integrating FDM feature selection and CNN demonstrates robust performance characteristics in content-based job recommendation tasks. © 2025 Slovene Society Informatika. Early diagnosis requires cardiovascular disease forecasting. Past patient interests can improve machine learning predictions. This study uses a Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) to augment data to address the issue of insufficient datasets. Our objective is to use the GAN and feature selection (FS) to tackle the issue of class imbalance. The study assesses the efficacy of three different machine learning (ML) algorithms in predicting coronary artery disease (CAD). The UCI repository provided the Z-Alizadeh sani dataset for our analysis. A GAN was used to balance an imbalanced dataset. We used GAN to augment data and synthesise data to improve the models. Support Vector Machine (SVM) as feature selection tool was used to extract more effective attributes. We trained and tested CAD prediction using machine learning algorithms using 5-fold cross validation. We compared the machine-learning algorithm's outcomes with and without GAN-based data enhancement and feature selection to evaluate its predicted accuracy. According to results GAN and feature selection improved accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity for all algorithms, suggesting that generated data and selected attributes can identify positive and negative cases. © 2023 IEEE.

The growing elderly population and the increasing demand for nursing home care have led to a need to improve the quality of life for residents. A popular solution is developing a companion robot to assist residents with various tasks and provide human-like interaction. In this paper, we present the prototype of a companion robot currently website-based, equipped with a Dual Intent Entity Transformer to understand what the user wants. The results of the study show the prototype is capable of classifying user messages according to their appropriate intent with precision, recall, F-score, and accuracy on average 91 %, 91 %, 90%, and 87% respectively using privately owned dataset. Future works such as expanding the robot's insight and tuning the model would improve the service provided by the companion robot. © 2023 IEEE.

Acquired medical images often contain noise due to various factors that affect image quality. The noisy image indicates the presence of inappropriate information or loss of original information due to changes in the pixel values. For diagnosis purposes, the acquired or noisy medical image needs to be reconstructed to obtain an enhanced image or denoised image for a better decision. One of the techniques to enhance or reduce the noise can be performed by normalized convolution to interpolate the change of pixels in the original image. This paper is presented to investigate the feasibility of the normalized convolution filter to enhance and reduce medical image noise. The study was performed through experiments using several types of medical images, namely Brain MRI, Breast Ultrasound, Chest X-ray, Retinal OCT, Mammogram, and RSNA Bone Age images. Experimental results show that the normalized convolution could produce an enhanced image with sharper contrast. In the image enhancement, the enhanced image obtained by this filter achieves 41.12 dB on the PSNR average. In the medical image denoising, the normalized convolution could produce better visual quality to reduce the Gaussian, Salt & Pepper, Poisson, and Speckle with PSNR averages are 28.43dB, 32.82dB, 32.49dB, and 29.30dB. This method also outperforms basic image denoising filters, such as Imbox, Wiener, and Median Filterings. Hence, this filter could be used as an alternative for medical image preprocessing, such as image enhancement and noise reduction. © 2023 IEEE.

Museum ecosystems need digital transformation to provide value added to museums. This study discusses the digital museum ecosystem conceptual model based on artificial intelligence (AI) technology and the Internet of Things (IoT). The new conceptual model integrates three elements of the museum ecosystem, people, collections & infrastructure, and museum services collaborating and communicating to achieve outputs in supporting the achievement of museum organizational goals through IoT and AI-based digital technology. The conceptual model describes various forms of implementing IoT and AI in the museum ecosystem for museum management along with the value added or results generated for museum management. The development of this ecosystem conceptual model into a physical museum has an impact on optimizing museum performance by providing value added in the form of convenience and prosperity for users and various museum stakeholders, especially in Society 5.0. © 2023 IEEE.

The Google Play platform boasts a total of 2,597,819 applications. A pivotal gauge of an application's success rests on its practical utility in daily life, coupled with its demonstrated strong performance metrics. There are several performance metrics to evaluate the performance of an application, such as RAM usage, CPU utilization, and their impact on battery life. Additionally, it is crucial to consider the User Interface (UI) factor, which serves as the primary connection between users and applications. Beyond its role as a bridge between users and applications, the UI can also significantly affect the performance of an application, as rendering a UI often takes a considerable amount of time. Various approaches can be employed to enhance the rendering time of a UI, one of which involves the use of design patterns like Model-View-Controller (MVC) and Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM), which effectively separate the business logic from the UI layer. This research study compares the performance of these two design patterns in the context of UI rendering time. The findings of this study confirm that MVVM outperforms MVC significantly in rendering UI components more rapidly. This superiority is attributed to MVVM's inherent ability to isolate business logic, ultimately reducing rendering delays. Furthermore, MVVM's prominent data binding feature further strengthens its efficiency in terms of UI rendering time. © 2023 ACM.

Supplier selection is a critical component of Supply Chain Management (SCM), as suppliers provide raw materials or services essential for supporting a company's operations. Traditional supplier selection methods often rely on subjective assessments to determine the weighting of criteria, which can lead to biases and suboptimal decision making. To address this issue, this study combines the Logarithmic Percentage Change of Weight (LOPCOW) method with the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method to enhance objectivity in the supplier selection process. The LOPCOW method is used to assign criterion weights objectively based on logarithmic percentage changes, which helps minimize subjectivity, These weights are then applied using the SAW method to evaluate and rank suppliers. The results of the study show that this combined approach is more reliable for selecting suppliers objectively and accurately. The study suggests integrating other Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) methods to further strengthen the results while recommending the inclusion of real-time data analytics to improve the model's adaptability to dynamic market conditions. The LOPCOW-SAW approach can be applied across various industries for more effective and efficient SCM supplier selection. © 2024 IEEE.

Recently, there has been increasing interest in utilizing virtual reality (VR) technology in dental education and student training. VR based training can provide students with sufficient training and hands-on experience before entering the clinical setting, which in turn helps avoid risks ranging from small errors to severe consequences. However, previous research in this area is limited and none of the previous work proposed a complete, scalable framework for dental students' education and training. This paper proposes an improved virtual environment for dental training, through an adaptive learning approach, integrated with the VR environment, which is - to the best of our knowledge - the first framework proposed for this purpose. The framework consists of eight modules that aim to provide students with a holistic dental training experience, equipping them with the essential skills and confidence required for their future clinical practice. Furthermore, it aims to improve patient care and safety. In order to guarantee the effectiveness and usability of the proposed framework, a thorough evaluation will be conducted, encompassing both a system perspective, which involves assessing software metrics, as well as evaluating its usability. © 2023 IEEE.

Robot swarm navigation faces challenges in coordi-nation in dynamic environments with limited information, since each robot only has local access, making optimal paths difficult to achieve. Increasing the number of robots also increases the complexity of communication and decision-making, while energy efficiency remains a priority. The Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) algorithm mimics the behavior of ants through pheromone trails, allowing robots to leave virtual trails that guide other robots in forming optimal paths, allowing them to adapt to changing environments. In this paper, we propose an optimal multi-robot navigation system with ACO based on Greedy Heuristics to improve the efficiency of robots in dealing with static and dynamic obstacles, avoiding collisions, and preventing deadlocks. The test results obtained the shortest distance of 31.2132034 meters with alpha parameters of 3 points and beta of 4 points as the optimum parameter configuration according to the method used. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, we performed an analysis of the outage probability (Pout) at the output of the receiver with selection combination (SC) with L branches of the wireless communication system in the presence of Beaulieu-Xie (BX) fading and BX co-channel interference (CCI). The mathematical form of the function for Pout as a normalized signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) was derived, based on which a graph was drawn for different values of fading and CCI parameters. The second part of the paper considers applying machine learning approach relying on ChatGPT with aim to enable fading type recognition based on Pout measurements, which can be further used in order to perform Quality of Service (QoS) adaptation by tuning receiver's parameters. © 2023 IEEE.
