Exclusive dimuon production in ultraperipheral collisions (UPC), resulting from photon-photon interactions in the strong electromagnetic fields of colliding high-energy lead nuclei, PbPb(γγ)→μ+μ−(Pb(★)Pb(★)), is studied using Lint=0.48nb−1 of sNN=5.02TeV lead-lead collision data at the LHC with the ATLAS detector. Dimuon pairs are measured in the fiducial region pT,μ>4 GeV, |ημ|<2.4, invariant mass mμμ>10 GeV, and pT,μμ<2 GeV. The primary background from single-dissociative processes is extracted from the data using a template fitting technique. Differential cross sections are presented as a function of mμμ, absolute pair rapidity (|yμμ|), scattering angle in the dimuon rest frame (|cosϑμμ★|), and the colliding photon energies. The total cross section of the UPC γγ→μ+μ− process in the fiducial volume is measured to be σfidμμ=34.1±0.3(stat.)±0.7(syst.) μb. Generally good agreement is found with calculations from STARlight, which incorporate the leading-order Breit-Wheeler process with no final-state effects, albeit differences between the measurements and theoretical expectations are observed. In particular, the measured cross sections at larger |yμμ| are found to be about 10–20% larger in data than in the calculations, suggesting the presence of larger fluxes of photons in the initial state. Modification of the dimuon cross sections in the presence of forward and/or backward neutron production is also studied and is found to be associated with a harder incoming photon spectrum, consistent with expectations.

Considering the fraudulent behavior of Quality of Service (QoS) for web services, a method to monitor the QoS deviation was proposed in this paper. Firstly, we used random variable to describe the uncertainty of QoS. Secondly, the divergence of QoS in different time periods was tested with Kolmogorov Smirnov (K-S) approach. Finally, we utilized stochastic dominance to judge the better one of them. Theoretical analysis and experimental data showed that the proposed method was reasonable and effective. © 2015 IEEE.

Sensor technology is a key technology in the field of Internet of Things(Io T),which has been applied to the research on task scheduling of embedded systems in wireless sensor networks(WSN),it affects the existence and uniqueness of the real-time interactive behavior for Io T service,as well as the energy consumption modeling and evaluation of WSN deployment on the background of real-time embedded control *** this paper,through further studies on the kernel scheduling mechanism of Tiny OS,aiming at its shortcomings,a lightweight scheduling strategy- quick sort scheduling strategy based on dynamic priority of tasks queue(TQS-DP) was *** strategy changes the priority of tasks dynamically,and quickly put them into queues with quick ***,the timeout management of tasks is taken into *** the priority level of the task is high or low,it can be executed in due ***,the simulation experiments show that our method cannot only improve the task throughput of the whole wireless sensor networks(WSNs),but also effectively reduce the energy consumption of system,in order to ensure the real-time performance,determinacy and casuality dependency of task scheduling.

Characterizing motion types of G-band bright points in the quiet Sun

We study the motion of G-band bright points （GBPs） in the quiet Sun to obtain the characteristics of different motion types. A high resolution image sequence taken with the Hinode/Solar Optical Telescope （SOT） is used, and GBPs are automat- ically tracked by segmenting 3D evolutional structures in a space-time cube. After putting the GBPs that do not move during their lifetimes aside, the non-stationary GBPs are categorized into three types based on an index of their motion type. Most GBPs that move in straight or nearly straight lines are categorized as a straight mo- tion type, a few moving in rotary paths into rotary motion, and the others fall into a motion type we called erratic. The mean horizontal velocities are 2.18±0.08 km s-1, 1.63±0.09km s^-1 and 1.33±0.07 km s^-1 for straight, erratic and rotary motion types, respectively. We find that a GBP drifts at a higher and constant velocity during its whole life if it moves in a straight line. However, it has a lower and variational velocity if it moves on a rotary path. The diffusive process is ballistic-, super- and sub-diffusion for straight, erratic and rotary motion types, respectively. The corresponding diffusion index （γ） and coefficients （K） are 2.13±0.09 and 850±37km^2 s^-1, 1.82±0.07 and 331 ±24 km^2 s^-1, and 0.73±0.19 and 13±9 km^2 s^-1. In terms of direction of motion, it is homogeneous and isotropic, and usually persists between neighboring frames, no matter what motion type a GBP is classified as.

In neighborhood rough set model, the majority rule based neighborhood classifier (NC) is easy to be misjudged with the increasing of the size of information granules. To remedy this deficiency, we propose a neighborhood collaborative classifier (NCC) based on the idea of collaborative representation based classification (CRC). NCC first performs feature selection with neighborhood rough set, and then instead of solving the classification problem by the majority rule, NCC solves a similar problem with collaborative representation among the neighbors of each unseen sample. Experiments on UCI data sets demonstrate that: 1) Our NCC achieves satisfactory performance in larger neighborhood information granules when compared with NC; 2) NCC reduces the size of dictionary when compared with CRC.

At present, cloud computing technology is widely used in IOT(Internet of Things) service and real-time embedded industrial control system energy consumption, problem in the cloud computing has always been the hot topic of industry and academic research. This paper analyzes the energy consumption of each equipment under the dormancy mechanism in the cloud computing environment. Meanwhile, this paper introduces the ant colony algorithm into a basic network energy consumption model, thereby building a new model for the energy consumption optimization. The simulation experiments were implemented on a cloud computing simulation platform CLOUDSIM. In comparison with two algorithms - Min LP and Dijkstra, the model presented in this paper was proved to be effective and more energy-efficient. © 2015 IEEE.
