In today's modern world, IoT plays an important and multifaceted function in all industries. 5th Generation Wireless Systems - 5G is the primary technical platform on which the Internet of Things plays a major role in smart technologies. Incorporating 5G technology into the architecture of an IoT system is now simple. Using plug-and-play technology, remote access to configuration and control is possible. Smart technology always results in faster data transfer rates, more bandwidth, greater capacity, lower latency, and a quicker output response. Based on this notion, IoT brings about a dramatic shift in heterogeneous networks. So, there is a need to implement 5G-IoT technologies. In the age of the Internet of Things, the fifth-generation (5G) cellular networks give the smart and complex technical environment. 5G Cellular Networks offer great growth potential for IoT technologies. This article gives a thorough study of the role of 5G Cellular Networks in the expansion of IoT technologies across all industries. Since the inclusion of renewable energy emerges as a new trend in the digital world, 5G is very beneficial in the age of the Internet of Things. To achieve the link between 'Things and People,' 'Things and Things,' and 'People and People' in power Systems, it is necessary to combine IoT with 5G in power systems to a high degree of success in various power-based industry-based systems. This article demonstrates a smart scenario and provides a thorough analysis of "how 5G drives the IoT System intelligently in every way and how IoT affects as the "most promising technology"with this smart 5G Wireless Communication System."In addition, the IoT era 5G application possibilities were demonstrated. © 2023 IEEE.

Fog computing works in conjunction with cloud computing because cloud computing has latency issues for the critical applications. When the client requests reach to the fog server they are allocated to the Virtal machines (VMs) and then the VMs are placed into the physical machines (PMs). During the VM placement the provider tries to allocate all the requests to the VMs and then the VMs has to be placed inside the PMs. Virtual Machine Placement (VMP) problem is a NP-hard problem and the provider always wants to optimize the hosted VMs, minimize the PMs and minimize the resource wastage to optimize power consumption. This paper proposes Multi-objective integer linear programming (MOILP) and solves in two different methods such as lexicographical preference method and weighted sum method and it has been implemented for two categories of fog center such as homogeneous and heterogeneous and it has been found that the weighted sum method outperforms over the lexicographical method and also for heterogeneous fog center. © 2022 IEEE.

The volume of the data is increasing exponentially due to the enourmous growth of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), digitization with advancement of wireless technologies. Cloud computing was evolved as a technological solution for handling and processing voluminous data. With cloud computing, the next technological advancement known as fog computing is an emerging technology that helps manage a massive volume of IoTs data by delivering their services as well as applications toward nearer to the network edge. There is a rise concern for improving the Quality of Services (QoS) provided to the users all through cloud computing infrastructure. Transferring and communicating all the desired data to the cloud layer and moving back from the cloud layer affect the high latency as well as necessitate high amount of network bandwidth. To consider this situation, we considered the fog computing strategies which are assisting the cloud infrastructure for IIoT. In specific IIoT applications/services, there are sufficient amount of energy needed in the fog computing layer, which is one of the urging area for handling energy minimization scheme by tmany cloud computing service providers. Apart from energy minimization schme, Task scheduling is also crucial factor that adds toward the energy consumptions in fog computing servers. The present research paper proposed an energy-saving task scheduling algorithm based on a meta-heuristic named quasi reflected Harris Hawks optimization technique to achieve energy conservation by attaining the QoS. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

The insurance sector in the healthcare industry rely on the insurer, insured, physicians, hospitals, and third-party service providers etc. Although this market is overgrowing, it lacks openness and trust. Because of this, there only appears to be controversy in a number of claim settlement instances. The increase in competition is pushing the insurance companies to use advanced technologies for addressing multiple *** order to do this, blockchain technology can be applied to the insurance industry as an egressing system that provides transparent and secure data storage and transit.. The hybridization of IoT and blockchain technology (BT) can offer diverse benefits to the functioning to the health insurance and mediclaim sector. This article applies blockchain technology to the healthcare insurance industry. Transactions will be handled by contracting out the middlemen engaged in the transaction process and by facilitating quicker payments between stakeholders. We develop a queueing model in detail that evaluates an Insure Chain system's characteristics. We also measures the performance of the model, including the transactions that may be waiting in the unpooled buffer before entering in to the block, transaction waiting time and a transaction's confirmation time. © 2022 IEEE.

This study presents a comprehensive study on smart home automation systems utilizing Internet of Things (IoT) sensor technology to achieve efficient energy conservation. The proposed system integrates ZigBee and WiFi communication protocols for effective and reliable connectivity across various smart devices within a home. Through the deployment of interconnected sensors and intelligent controllers, the system allows real-time monitoring and management of household energy usage, optimizing energy consumption and reducing waste. The combination of ZigBee for low-power, long-range sensor networks and WiFi for high-speed data transmission enables seamless interaction between smart appliances, lighting, heating, and cooling systems. Proposesd approach offers a scalable, cost-effective solution for enhancing home automation with an emphasis on energy conservation and sustainability. Also discussed the implementation, challenges, and future potential of IoT-based smart home systems for improved energy efficiency. © 2024 IEEE.

Early detection of plant diseases is crucial for enhancing agricultural productivity and ensuring crop protection. While computer vision offers scalable alternatives to manual inspection, existing methods face two understudied challenges: (1) performance degradation in cluttered real-world conditions, and (2) ineffective feature separation for randomly distributed lesions with diverse symptoms. Notably, current research predominantly relies on controlled-environment datasets, lacking publicly accessible benchmarks with authentic field complexities. To address these, we present the first large-scale citrus leaf disease dataset (5,763 images, 6 categories) capturing complex field conditions including varying illumination, occlusion, multi-scale lesions, and deceptive backgrounds. Our key methodological innovations include a three-stage weakly supervised framework that systematically resolves background interference and feature redundancy: (i) Class-agnostic contrastive localization enabling precise lesion mapping without region annotations, (ii) Stable feature initialization through region-guided classification training, (iii) Sparse orthogonal mapping with experimentally-determined nodes introducing orthogonality constraints to enhance feature separation. Through feature alignment and feature fusion, an accuracy of 97.1% is achieved (+2.4% vs ResNet-18). Evaluations on citrus leaf and public datasets demonstrate superior accuracy and interpretable lesion localization, advancing plant disease diagnosis. © 2013 IEEE.

The rapidly expanding universe of Internet of Things (IoT) networks has led to greater security risks due to the proliferation of sophisticated threats such as scanning activities, where adversaries use scanning to identify and exploit vulnerabilities in target IoT devices, which often have limited computing power and storage, making them attractive targets;to address this escalating challenge, this research proposes a comprehensive ensemble learning methodology specifically tailored for robust and timely detection of scanning activities in IoT networks, integrating a diverse set of base classifiers including Support Vector Machine (SVM), Neural Network (NN), Decision Trees (DT), and Linear Regression (LR), with predictions from the base models combined using a Linear Regression meta-classifier into a stacked ensemble model;extensive comparative evaluation on an IoT network dataset demonstrates the proposed ensemble technique achieves significantly higher accuracy, detection rate, F-measure, precision, and Area Under ROC Curve (AUC) versus individual traditional machine learning models, and remarkably, exhibits consistent performance across different cross-validation folds, highlighting its inherent stability and validity, suggesting it generalizes well without overfitting;in summary, this research puts forward an efficient and highly effective ensemble learning solution for the timely and precise detection of scanning attacks against IoT networks, serving as a vital step towards strengthening security against escalating threats. © 2023 ACM.

The rapid growth of textual data on the web has led researchers to develop methods in Natural Language Processing (NLP) to process, understand, and identify topics. Among these methods, Topic Modeling helps extract relevant topics, represented as clusters of words. However, interpreting these clusters into meaningful topics remains a challenge. This limitation has led to further research into topic labeling, an approach for assigning comprehensive and semantically meaningful labels to topic modeling results, ensuring that they are interpretable and understandable from a human perspective. In this paper, we present a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) on topic labeling. This review explores its definition, geographical and time distribution, methodologies, datasets, evaluation methods, successes, and challenges. This paper presents an SLR on topic labeling, synthesizing insights from 41 high-quality studies. It serves as a rich source of information for researchers interested in investigating different approaches for discovering topics within textual data. It addresses the various aspects of topic labeling and includes discussions that highlight the challenges of this approach, encouraging further research in this field.

With the increasing demand for new technologies, the speed of delivering a packet is becoming the major focus of various industries. The generation of huge traffic is becoming the bottleneck of the current scenario. By segregating the control plane from the data plane, Software Defined Networking (SDN) is able to many such issues to certain extent. But the traffic engineering problem still remains as an important topic to focus on. Ternary Content Addressable Memory (TCAM) is capable of solving many such issues with the cost of its cost and power issues. For the effective use of TCAM, various algorithms and mechanisms have been proposed by many researchers. Bloom filter is one of the popular ways which is able to provide effective solutions after collaborating with TCAM. An algorithm has been proposed which is able to find the exact match of the entry in TCAM. The use of a CRC generator and multiple hashing tables makes it effective at finding the presence of a flow rule in TCAM, in very little time. The major focus is on the fast search procedure for finding the exact match of the flow rule. The number of false positives (FPs) is reduced to a lower percentage value as compared to the existing approaches. © 2023 IEEE.
