Fire is a disaster caused by accidental fire, unexpected or unwanted, difficult to control, and detrimental. Many factors cause fires. Humans may directly or indirectly cause these factors, or they may also be caused by nature. Total 913 residential fires were recorded in Indonesia from 2013 to 2015. There are still many incidents of a fire occurring. This research is carried out to reduce the incident to detect fire objects by applying the histogram of oriented gradient (HOG) method and then classified using the support vector machine (SVM) method. The proposal is expected to help in the early identification of fires to reduce the number of fires that occur. This study has several stages: inserting images, converting images to grayscale, thresholding methods, object detection with HOG, and classification using SVM. The system implementation is carried out using the Python programming language with the Django web framework. The final result will be tested using a confusion matrix with four matrices: accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-Score. The results showed that the HOG and SVM methods using the RBF kernel and the sharing of training-test data 70:30 obtained accuracy of 88.33%, precision of 85.71 %, recall of 88.89%, and F1-Score of 87. 27%.. © 2021 IEEE.

YouTube is a widely-used platform in Indonesia, with 93.8% of its users. As such, it presents a valuable opportunity for marketing tourist destinations, particularly in Riau province, which aims to become Indonesia's top Halal travel destination. Tourism is a vital contributor to the economic growth of regions, and each province in Indonesia competes to promote its tourist attractions to attract more visitors every year. However, the large volume of data can challenge the manual analysis of feedback from YouTube's features, such as likes, dislikes, and comments. A literature review suggests that the Naive Bayes algorithm, which uses machine learning, is helpful for sentiment analysis. Therefore, this study aims to analyze public sentiment toward tourist destinations in Riau province by analyzing YouTube comments using the Naïve Bayes algorithm. The study used 1680 opinions collected from 10 YouTube videos showcasing tourist destinations in Riau. The Naive Bayes algorithm classified 60% of the comments as positive, 32% as neutral, and 8% as negative. The experimental results indicated an accuracy and precision of 73%, a recall of 94%, and an F-1 Score of 82%. The study used the word frequency technique to reveal that Riau could become a popular halal tourist destination based on several frequently occurring words in the comments. © 2023 IEEE.

A brain computer interface (BCI) system uses a technique known calibration, that takes 20 to 30 minutes to accomplish. For the objective of creating a reliable decoder, the calibration process is challenging and expensive. In order to address the drawbacks of the current system, a spectral-spatial technique has been suggested. The motor imagery (MI) data set, comprising 15 electroencephalography (EEG) signals and fourteen test subjects, is taken into consideration. The two modules are designed to extract characteristics and process data. An artificial neural network (ANN) is used to independently train and test the suggested spectral-spatial algorithm. Based on it, a variety of machine learning techniques, including random forest (RF), neural networks (NN), and XGboost, are used to classify the data, that is then sent to the hidden layer (Lth layer). The obtained results indicates 2% of improvement in comparison with existing methodology. © 2024 IEEE.

Among various technologies being applied for indoor localization, WiFi has become a common source of information to determine the pedestrian’s position due to the widespread of WiFi access points in indoor environments. However, the fluctuation of the WiFi signals makes it difficult to achieve a good localization result. In this paper, to handle this problem, the valued tolerance rough set and decision rules method (VTRS-DR), which is firstly registered to WiFi fingerprinting-based localization, will be implemented and evaluated in big and complicated environments using two public datasets. The first one was conducted by a subject using a smartphone at a multi-floor library for several months. Furthermore, to evaluate the localization accuracy when WiFi data was collected from different pedestrians as well as different smartphones, a crowdsourced WiFi fingerprinting dataset was utilized. From the deep analyses of localization results, the VTRS-DR method shows high accuracy and high robustness when testing in different environments with a mean error of 3.84 m, which is 27.87% lower than other compared methods. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

The number of woven fabric on the island of Timor is very large and varied, making it difficult to distinguish between types and origins. Many woven fabric motifs appear similar but represent different types. Therefore, this classification was used to perform pattern recognition of woven fabric in the system. The process allowed the system’s ability to be tested by applying the pattern recognition algorithm to woven images. In this context, the feature extraction method used was gray level co-occurrence matrix (GLCM), while the method used for classification was artificial neural network (ANN). The results showed an accuracy of $87.5 \%$ in the system. Finally, GUI system was developed, enabling tests to be performed on woven images for the identification of Timor Weaving image patterns.

Aspect-based subjectivity analysis stands as an important task in natural language processing, seeking to identify the subjectivity of various aspects or features within a text. A new method for aspect-based subjectivity analysis using BERT is introduced in this paper. BERT has demonstrated impressive performance across various NLP tasks, and its capabilities are utilized to accurately ascertain the subjectivity of specific aspects within a given text. The approach involves fine-tuning BERT on a sizable dataset annotated with aspect-level subjectivity labels, enabling the model to grasp the subtleties of aspect-based subjectivity analysis. Extensive experiments on benchmark datasets are conducted to showcase the effectiveness of this approach and compare it with existing methods. The results reveal that this proposed approach surpasses state-of-the-art techniques in aspect-based subjectivity analysis, underscoring the potential of leveraging BERT for such purposes.

The genericity assumption, supposing that the nonzero parameters of a system are algebraically independent transcendentals over the field of the rationals, often helps for the mathematical modelling of linear systems. Without this condition nonzero expansion members of a determinant can cancel out each other, decreasing the rank of a matrix. In this note we show that under some circumstances an increase is also possible. This counterintuitive phenomenon is explained using some tools from matroid theory, and is illustrated by a classical network of Carlin and Youla. © 2021 Budapest University of Technology and Economics. Given the critical role of zeroing neural networks (ZNN) in various fields and the practical demand for models in effectively resisting real-time noise, this study introduces a novel anti-noise integral zeroing neural network (AN-IZNN) model alongside its enhanced counterpart (EAN-IZNN), for the applications of matrix problem solving. Theoretical analysis demonstrates their ability to achieve convergence even under different noise conditions. Both theoretical analyses and simulation validations highlight the superior performance of the proposed models over existing neural network models. Notably, the root mean square error of the proposed AN-IZNN and EAN-IZNN models is reduced by 92.6249% and 91.4178%, respectively, compared to scenarios without the proposed method, demonstrating the effectiveness of the solution. © 2025

The workspace is a portion of a structure that can currently apply a smart building system adaption for more ideal design outcomes. Millions of hours are reportedly wasted each year as a result of the harmful effects that poor environmental quality has on workers' productivity and health, according to the findings of several studies. Therefore, a centralized approach is required to be able to give quick and accurate information. This may be accomplished via digital twin technology, which will result in a workspace design that is more ideal in the future. The major goal of this research is to create a digital twin prescriptive model in a physical workspace environment that can create a strategic space design plan and be flexible enough to react to changes in the physical environment, which will improve user comfort and productivity. A life cycle model was employed as the study methodology, which begins with the identification of the model's requirements and ends with its maintenance. This model is employed to offer suggestions for preventative and remedial activities on actual things. © 2022 IEEE.
