Machine learning, with its huge untapped potential, is being researched all over the world to develop truly intelligent systems. Its applications are not enclosed in just one domain but in almost everything, from prediction models, recommender systems, and anomaly detection to automation and teaching a computer how to fly a helicopter. In this research, Multivariate Linear regression of supervised machine learning is studied to predict the efficiency of Industry 5.0, however, the efficiency of the model would be dependent on many factors and components such as security protocols and models, Industrial IoT - performance, connectivity, reachability, availability and many more. These factors and components would be categorized as the features of the algorithm which would be assigned weight 'w' and bias 'b'. To improve the efficiency of the model, these components could be changed and updated in order to enhance the overall model. Previous research papers discussed the integration of 'hot' technologies like 5G, Blockchain, AI, and IIoT in the industry 5.0 model, but this research is presented as their future work as it proposes to determine the efficiency of the model based on the features provided so that ultimate and optimal model could be determined. Later it proposes security and IIoT models that could improve the overall Industry 5.0. Quorum blockchain is proposed by the research in order to implement the ultimate security in the Industry 5.0. © 2022 IEEE.

The recommendation and assignment of reviewers and articles is an emerging topic in the academic community and is known as the Reviewer Assignment Problem (RAP). This problem can be seen as a version of the well-known Generalized Assignment Problem (GAP), while the Conference Paper Assignment Problem (CPAP) is a specific case of RAP. The thesis proposal presented is centred on CPAP. The main objective of the doctoral thesis proposal is the development and validation of multi-information recommendation systems (extracting information from the content of articles and reviewers) capable of efficiently assigning expert reviewers to scientific articles submitted to a conference. © 2022 Copyright for this paper by its authors. The increasing use of digital payment systems has led to a rise in fraudulent activities, presenting a significant challenge in ensuring secure transactions. This research focuses on implementing the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm with a Radial Basis Function (RBF) kernel to detect fraud in digital payment systems. One of the main challenges addressed in this study is the severe class imbalance in the dataset, where fraudulent transactions account for only 0.17% of total transactions. To overcome this, the SMOTE (Synthetic Minority Over-sampling Technique) method was applied to balance the dataset, allowing the model to better recognize fraudulent patterns. The results indicate that the SVM model achieved an accuracy of 99.93%, with a precision of 86.23% and a recall of 75.51%. These results demonstrate that SVM, combined with SMOTE and RBF kernel, is highly effective in detecting fraudulent transactions while minimizing false positives. This research provides a strong foundation for improving fraud detection models in the context of digital payment systems, offering enhanced security and trust for users. Further research could explore hybrid models and real-time data analysis to improve performance.

Secret Image Sharing (SIS) transfers an image to mutually suspicious receivers as $n$ meaningless shares, where $k$ or more shares must be present to recover the secret. This paper proposes a $(k, n)$ -SIS system for any image type using polynomial interpolation based on Lagrange polynomials, where the generated shares are of size $1/k$ of the secret image size. A full encryption system, consisting of substitution and permutation stages, is employed by using the generalized Tent map as a source of randomness. In addition to using a long and sensitive system key, steganography using the Least Significant Bits (LSBs) embedding technique is utilized to improve security. Detailed experimental analysis of the security, robustness and performance of the proposed system is provided, which is more comprehensive than the analyses given in other related works. Security is demonstrated using statistical tests, and robustness against noise and cron attacks is validated.

The problem of non-collocated vibration absorption is targeted utilizing a multiparameter delay-based controller. The combined objective is to achieve closed-loop stability and vibration suppression at a target location, which is different from the position of the absorber. This problem can be translated into an optimization problem of shaping the poles of a closed-loop system with delays subject to zero-location constraints. The solution approach involves remodelling the closed-loop system as a system of delay-differential algebraic equations (DDAEs) which allows to systematically account for delays in the control law, thereby enabling a straightforward technique for computation of controller parameters. Finally, the proposed design method is validated by simulation on a lumped parameter model of a mass-spring-damper system.

Rapid and accurate assessment of software project development using artificial intelligence tools can be essential for success in the software industry. This article has two objectives: to reduce the magnitude relative error (MRE) value in estimating the effort and cost of software development using the proposed artificial neural network architecture based on the Taguchi method and examine the influence of input variables on the change in relative error value. Clustering and fuzzification methods further mitigate the heterogeneous structure of the different project values of the datasets used. Taguchi method contributes to the reduction of the number of iterations by 99%, which achieves a significant reduction in estimation and value of MRE. By monitoring additional criteria, such as prediction, correlation, and comparing two activation functions, such as sigmoid and radial basis function, the proposed model's correctness, reliability, and stability are confirmed. Significantly better results are expected using the sigmoid activation function and a decrease in the value of the mean (MRE). © 2022 John Wiley & Sons Ltd.

ERP stands for enterprise resource planning. It is an information system that is all rolled into one, is very flexible and adaptable, and optimizes business operations while also centralizing all of the company's data. This study aims to empirically investigate the elements that affect users' intention and usage of enterprise resource planning (ERP). This research incorporates self-efficacy into the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT2). A quantitative technique was taken, and as a result, 143 replies that might be used were effectively collected. After that, the information was put through a structural equation modelling partial least square (SEM-PLS) analysis. According to the findings of this research, self-efficacy appears to have a significant influence on all endogenous variables (EE, BI, and UB), as indicated by t-values of 3.951, 7.573, and 5.492, respectively. In addition, the analysis also indicated that PE (4.317), EE (2.397), and HM (3.084) are likewise statistically and substantively significant to BI. The result shows that the R2 for BI and UB indicate a moderate impact of 0.603 and 0.521, respectively. It is suggested that the model has valuable applications in academic and real-world contexts. © 2023 IEEE.

Without GPS data, ETA can be estimated with good precision from historical GPS data and the context of the traffic environment. In this paper, the estimated travel duration between bus stops was computed based on historical GPS data with time stamps. Three approaches were employed to compute the duration between bus stops: (i) statistical central tendencies, (ii) nonlinear regression techniques i.e., decision tree regressor, random forest regressor and k-nearest neighbors regressor, and (iii) an ANN predictive model. These three approaches capture different characteristics of the traffic environment. Statistical central tendencies give the overall view of the ETA information while nonlinear regressors can capture context from the time stamps (e.g., weekdays vs holidays). Finally, predicting the duration required to reach the next bus stop based on previous timespans on the same route implicitly captures temporal dynamics of the traffic environment from previous time steps and the ANN predictive model exploits this temporal information. The feasibility of ETA estimation using these three approaches was explained, evaluated and discussed.

Modern computer or embedded systems make it possible to obtain long (tens of seconds, minutes, hours, days) realizations of vibration signals, which continuously reflect the vibration state of the investigated mechanism in different modes of operation. Received large amounts of data are subject to rapid automated processing, to provide the user with the required information and the formulation of conclusions about changes in the technical state of the controlled object. The decomposition into periodic and noise-like components, wavelet analysis, Hilbert-Huang transform, as methods of primary transformation of initial vibration signals and representing it as a composition of components. The next step is to determine the values of the parameters of the obtained components of the expansions and plotting time trends of the calculated parameters. This paper describes our submission of the WMT 2020 Shared Task on Sentence Level Direct Assessment, Quality Estimation (QE). In this study, we empirically reveal the mismatching issue when directly adopting BERTScore (Zhang et al., 2020) to QE. Specifically, there exist lots of mismatching errors between source sentence and translated candidate sentence with token pairwise similarity. In response to this issue, we propose to expose explicit cross lingual patterns, e.g. word alignments and generation score, to our proposed zero-shot models. Experiments show that our proposed QE model with explicit cross-lingual patterns could alleviate the mismatching issue, thereby improving the performance. Encouragingly, our zero-shot QE method could achieve comparable performance with supervised QE method, and even outperforms the supervised counterpart on 2 out of 6 directions. We expect our work could shed light on the zero-shot QE model improvement. © 2020 Association for Computational Linguistics
