Hydropower is a reliable, clean, and efficient alternative to conventional fossil fuels and other renewable energy sources. The hydro turbine is the core of a hydropower plant, and the proper maintenance and operation of all other components are essential for maximizing energy production. Besides electricity generation, hydropower plants play a critical role in storing irrigation and drinking water and controlling floods. This study presents a concise overview of hydroelectric power plant classification based on the output power generated by peak water drop and storage. Pumped storage water plants are the most applicable classification based on water conditions. The study reviews the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in various aspects of hydropower plants, highlighting the potential benefits and challenges of integrating AI technologies in the energy production process. This paper emphasizes the importance of proper maintenance and operation of hydropower plants and provides insights into AI’s potential role in optimizing energy production and improving plant efficiency.

This paper focuses on implementing the unified power flow controller (UPFC) in the optimal power flow approach, a critical aspect of power and control system operations. Optimal power flow minimizes operating costs and maintains safety margins for control variables, making it an indispensable tool for energy management. The flexible AC transmission system (FACTS) is a fundamental component of this approach, with the UPFC playing a crucial role. This versatile device provides various types of energy system compensation, enabling the independent control of reactive and active electrical power in transmission lines and bus voltages simultaneously. Previous studies have explored a wide range of engineering applications for UPFC using diverse techniques. This paper reviews these applications, specifically examining how UPFC can increase power system flexibility and controllability. Additionally, this paper explores utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) in the placement of UPFC in power systems. By incorporating AI techniques such as machine learning and optimization algorithms, power system operators can optimize the placement of UPFC to achieve optimal energy management. This approach enhances the efficiency and reliability of energy systems, resulting in significant cost savings and improved power system performance.

This article explores the importance of IT risk management, especially at XYZ Vocational School. The agency is equipped to manage business risks, emphasizing the need to improve decision-making and risk mitigation by identifying potential hazards and evaluating internal and external threats, including hacking risks. The research investigates IT risk management at XYZ Vocational School using a qualitative and quantitative method with a focus on the APO12 COBIT 5 domain: Align, plan, and organize. It assesses subdomains such as data collection, risk analysis, profile maintenance, risk articulation, portfolio management, and response strategies. Conclusively, the research reveals institutional IT capabilities at level 1 (Performed Process) in the APO12 subdomain. Recommendations include developing COBIT-compliant SOPs for processes at this level, highlighting the need for further improvements in IT governance. This study provides valuable insights into IT risk management practices, offering recommendations for improving IT governance in educational settings.

Detection of sarcasm sentences in the Natural Language Processing (NLP) field has a fairly high level of difficulty because it ignores elements of facial expressions and intonation of speech style. SentiStrength works by way of unsupervised learning so it is easier to use to classify sentiments more quickly. This study uses SentiStrengthID which has been developed for Indonesian texts. The tweets used in this study are tweets in Indonesian. SentiStrength will classify sentences into 3 classes, namely positive, negative, and neutral sentiments to detect the spread of sarcasm sentences within each sentiment group. The results of this study indicate the SentiStrength accuracy value of 54.52% in detecting sarcasm sentences in Indonesian-language tweets. SentiStrength managed to divide the detected sarcasm sentences into as many as 13 sentences on positive sentiment, 24 sentences on negative sentiment, and 70 sentences on neutral sentiment.
