Ubiquitous computing supports U-learning to develop and implement a new educational environment that provides effective and interactive learning to students wherever they *** study aims to present a qualitative evaluation for using U-learning instead of traditional education to avoid the spread of the Coronavirus *** authors introduce a UTAUT(Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology)model to assess the capability of the given factors that are expected to affect the learners’intention and behavior for accepting the U-learning technology for full *** research study shows a promising impact on the use of U-learning apps for implementing their learning activities in both the present and coming *** study also presents the descriptive statistics that affect the students’answers by using U-learning while implementing learning assignments including exams,projects,forums,essays,presentations,and *** research experiments demonstrate both the composite reliability(CR)and the average variance extracted(AVE)of the presented *** experimental results have shown that(1)the factor loadings≥0.75,CR≥0.9,and AVE≥0.75,which present appropriate proof for the validity and reliability of the proposed model,and(2)the total average of students that accept the U-learning is 82.99%,and who disagree is 8.13%,while who neither agree nor disagree is 6.44%.

This study proposes a machine-learning-based sentiment classification approach for Bahasa Indonesia, where Gojek App's reviews are used for a case study. The sentiment classification is important since users often give 5-star ratings but leave negative reviews. A total of 19,772 reviews from The Google Play Store are used in this study. We use five machine learning algorithms to train the model, such as Support Vector Machine (SVM), Decision Tree (DT), Random Forest (RF), Naive Bayes (NB), and Stochastic Gradient Descent (SGD). The best results of our approach are 66.6% precision, 88.2% recall, and 69.2% F-score, where an SVM-based classifier is used. These results show a promising future for using machine-learning algorithms for sentiment classification. © 2024 IEEE.

Visible light communication(VLC),which is a prominent emerging solution that complements the radio frequency(RF)technology,exhibits the potential to meet the demands of fifth-generation(5G)and beyond *** random movement of mobile terminals in the indoor environment is a challenge in the VLC *** model of optical attocells has a critical role in the uniform distribution and the quality of communication links in terms of received power and signal-to-noise ratio(SNR).As such,the optical attocells positions were optimized in this study with a developed try and error(TE)*** optimized optical attocells were examined and compared with previous *** novel approach had successfully increased minimum received power from−1.29 to−0.225 dBm,along with enhanced SNR performance by 2.06 *** bit error rate(BER)was reduced to 4.42×10−8 and 6.63×10−14 by utilizing OOK-NRZ and BPSK modulation techniques,*** optimized attocells positions displayed better uniform distribution,as both received power and SNR performances improved by 0.45 and 0.026,*** the results of the proposed model are optimal,it is suitable for standard office and room model applications.

Vital signs, such as heart and respiratory rates, are the main parameters when assessing a person's physical condition. Advanced technologies for monitoring vital signs include electrocardiography (ECG), photoplethysmograph (PPG), or phonocardiography (PCG). While ECG utilizes electrical stimulation that triggers each heartbeat, PPG measures changes in absorbance caused by blood flow, and PCG measures acoustic waves resulting from the mechanical activity of the heart. In recent decades, analysis of heart sound signals, especially for automatic heart sound segmentation and classification, has been widely studied and reported to have potential value for accurately and clinically detecting pathology. However, comparative analysis of algorithms in the literature has been hindered by the lack of high-quality, rigorously validated, and standardized heart sound databases of recordings. In this research, a heart sound database will be created by the public, especially Indonesians, to represent the condition of Asian society, which in the future can be used as a research reference for other researchers as an open data set. It includes healthy subjects and patients with a variety of conditions, including heart valve disease and coronary artery disease. Records are collected from a variety of clinical or nonclinical environments and equipment. Recording length varies from a few seconds to several seconds-minutes. This study will report detailed information about subjects/patients including demographics (number, age, and gender), recordings (number, location, state, and length of time), associated synchronously recorded signals, sampling frequency, and type of sensor used. This research aims to measure acoustic waves resulting from the mechanical activity of the heart and the results of heart sound recordings in various patient conditions, along with their pathologies, will be grouped in an open database based on normal and abnormal. Antennas are essential components in communication systems, serving as both transmitters and receivers. Their efficient operation depends on precise alignment with the strongest signal source, facilitated by tracker antennas. A recent research study focused on enhancing the responsiveness of these tracker antennas. By manually inputting PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative) values for direction control, the study achieved notable *** results demonstrated that by fine-tuning PID values, particularly setting Kp=5, Ki=0.21812, and Kd=12, and targeting an angle of 90°, the response time was reduced to 1.2 seconds with an overshoot of 28.8% and 1.6 seconds of oscillation. This optimized control mechanism significantly improved antenna direction accuracy, aligning it with the desired setpoint. Furthermore, the importance of antenna alignment and polarization matching in communication systems was emphasized. Ensuring alignment between the receiving antenna's polarization and the incoming wave polarization is crucial for maintaining a strong signal reception power level. This alignment enables accurate tracking of antenna positions, supporting real-time GPS data communication. Additionally, the study involving horizontal azimuth angle measurements with tracker antennas demonstrated their capability to transmit real-time data from multiple positions, achieving 360° horizontal azimuth angles, along with varying elevations. These precise measurements play a vital role in object monitoring and effective communication. © 2023 IEEE.

Smart Buildings are buildings that integrate and combine intelligence, management, control, materials, and construction as a single system to meet all the needs of the building, such as comfort, energy efficiency, and durability. In universities, laboratories are used less frequently than other facilities and classrooms. Courses and students may change in the same classroom, and the period of use of such classrooms is much more extended than in laboratories. However, classrooms may only be used for classes during long breaks or for short periods of non-use between exams. In addition, there is no provision for when the heating system will start to heat up before classes or when it will be turned off after classes. By planning heating and lightning, energy and costs will be saved. This paper presents data acquisition methods for preparing a dataset to create a machine learning (ML) model to save energy loss in university laboratories. The developed model will predict energy consumption in classrooms and laboratories based on weather conditions. The study is being conducted in two stages. The first stage describes how to collect data using electronic devices such as Internet of Things (IoT) controllers of Smart Building Management Systems. The second stage gave possibilities for data analysis and preparation using the phases of the Cross-Industry Standard Process for Data Mining (CRISP-DM). © 2024 IEEE.

Interactive Recommendation(IR)formulates the recommendation as a multi-step decision-making process which can actively utilize the individuals’feedback in multiple steps and optimize the long-term user benefit of *** Reinforcement Learning(DRL)has witnessed great application in IR for ***,user cold-start problem impairs the learning process of the DRL-based recommendation ***,most existing DRL-based recommendations ignore user relationships or only consider the single-hop social relationships,which cannot fully utilize the social *** fact that those schemes can not capture the multiple-hop social relationships among users in IR will result in a sub-optimal *** address the above issues,this paper proposes a Social Graph Neural network-based interactive Recommendation scheme(SGNR),which is a multiple-hop social relationships enhanced DRL *** this framework,the multiple-hop social relationships among users are extracted from the social network via the graph neural network which can sufficiently take advantage of the social network to provide more personalized recommendations and effectively alleviate the user cold-start *** experimental results on two real-world datasets demonstrate that the proposed SGNR outperforms other state-of-the-art DRL-based methods that fail to consider social relationships or only consider single-hop social relationships.

Fake or fraudulent accounts are a significant problem in social networking that is often addressed by the users of various social networking platforms involving Linkedin. Fraudulent accounts generally try to convince people about their identity that they are authentic. Adversaries use fake profiles or they impersonate a real identity on social networks to obtain more privileges. Therefore, it is critical to understand problems regarding fraudulent profiles. In this paper, we propose new sustainable framework to assess risks about profiles in social networking platforms. The framework is implemented as a web extension and it is analyzed with ITU alumni profiles in Linkedin. The analyses results show that there are different profiles within one community in Linkedin that may be significant threat for social network users. © 2023 IEEE.
