The role of learning media greatly supports the learning process, increasing motivation and interest in the process. Learning media can also be a place to improve competence optimally through bootcamp training menus and the like with more specific training objectives. The main objective of this study is to develop a gamification-based website to enhance students' preparedness for their Final Competency Test by tackling challenges in comprehending programming absent practical experience. The learning method implemented in this website is case-based learning that integrates dynamic coding activities. The research method uses the Plomp approach with 3 main stages, namely preliminary research, prototyping, and assessment stage. The trial of the gamification website began with media and content validation followed by small group testing and large group testing. Validation by media and material experts led to the execution of small group trials (95.7%) and large group trials (91.7%), producing exceptionally positive outcomes. The results of the small group test with 12 respondents produced a very suitable value with a score of 95.7 and the large group test with 27 respondents produced a score of 9 1. 7 % with very suitable criteria. This indicates that the web-based platform is highly viable for assisting vocational students in acquiring software development skills, enhancing their preparedness for practical IT positions such as software developers and system analysts. Subsequent study involved the incorporation of gamification, such as computer-supported collaborative learning. © 2024 IEEE.

Support Vector Machine(SVM)has become one of the traditional machine learning algorithms the most used in prediction and classification ***,its behavior strongly depends on some parameters,making tuning these parameters a sensitive step to maintain a good *** the other hand,and as any other classifier,the performance of SVM is also affected by the input set of features used to build the learning model,which makes the selection of relevant features an important task not only to preserve a good classification accuracy but also to reduce the dimensionality of *** this paper,the MRFO+SVM algorithm is introduced by investigating the recent manta ray foraging optimizer to fine-tune the SVM parameters and identify the optimal feature subset *** proposed approach is validated and compared with four SVM-based algorithms over eight benchmarking ***,it is applied to a disease Covid-19 *** experimental results show the high ability of the proposed algorithm to find the appropriate SVM’s parameters,and its acceptable performance to deal with feature selection problem.

This paper focuses on implementing the unified power flow controller (UPFC) in the optimal power flow approach, a critical aspect of power and control system operations. Optimal power flow minimizes operating costs and maintains safety margins for control variables, making it an indispensable tool for energy management. The flexible AC transmission system (FACTS) is a fundamental component of this approach, with the UPFC playing a crucial role. This versatile device provides various types of energy system compensation, enabling the independent control of reactive and active electrical power in transmission lines and bus voltages simultaneously. Previous studies have explored a wide range of engineering applications for UPFC using diverse techniques. This paper reviews these applications, specifically examining how UPFC can increase power system flexibility and controllability. Additionally, this paper explores utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) in the placement of UPFC in power systems. By incorporating AI techniques such as machine learning and optimization algorithms, power system operators can optimize the placement of UPFC to achieve optimal energy management. This approach enhances the efficiency and reliability of energy systems, resulting in significant cost savings and improved power system performance. © 2023 IEEE.

Hydropower is a reliable, clean, and efficient alternative to conventional fossil fuels and other renewable energy sources. The hydro turbine is the core of a hydropower plant, and the proper maintenance and operation of all other components are essential for maximizing energy production. Besides electricity generation, hydropower plants play a critical role in storing irrigation and drinking water and controlling floods. This study presents a concise overview of hydroelectric power plant classification based on the output power generated by peak water drop and storage. Pumped storage water plants are the most applicable classification based on water conditions. The study reviews the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in various aspects of hydropower plants, highlighting the potential benefits and challenges of integrating AI technologies in the energy production process. This paper emphasizes the importance of proper maintenance and operation of hydropower plants and provides insights into AI's potential role in optimizing energy production and improving plant efficiency. © 2023 IEEE.

A multi-mass system is a mechanical system that consists of several masses such as a motor, load, and gear that are connected by a flexible shaft. The mechanical fluctuations in drives with flexible coupling between the motor and the driven device can no longer be ignored, as they could in the past when requirements for speed control dynamics were low. These prerequisites pertain to the regulation of the rotational speed and position of the servo drive and are quantified by the magnitude of speed step response time and speed fault elimination time caused by the step change of load torque, which, in modern drives, can be measured. In this study, the dynamical behavior of a two-mass resonant system with a three-term controller for control of torque and speed is investigated using eigenvalues analysis. The proposed control strategy aims to eliminate the rotational fluctuations of the motor shaft, dampen the load torque disturbance impact, provide a quick response to changes in the base speed while avoiding increases in the load speed, and be resilient to instability. Finally, numerical outcomes demonstrate the effect of the presented controller application on improving the dynamic demeanor of the two-mass test system. Based on the outcomes, the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme is highly dependent on system parameters. Due to the inherent parameter uncertainty in the multi-mass system, the use of parameter estimators based on artificial neural networks (ANNs) is suggested for future work. © 2023 IEEE.

Detection of sarcasm sentences in the Natural Language Processing (NLP) field has a fairly high level of difficulty because it ignores elements of facial expressions and intonation of speech style. SentiStrength works by way of unsupervised learning so it is easier to use to classify sentiments more quickly. This study uses SentiStrengthID which has been developed for Indonesian texts. The tweets used in this study are tweets in Indonesian. SentiStrength will classify sentences into 3 classes, namely positive, negative, and neutral sentiments to detect the spread of sarcasm sentences within each sentiment group. The results of this study indicate the SentiStrength accuracy value of 54.52% in detecting sarcasm sentences in Indonesian-language tweets. SentiStrength managed to divide the detected sarcasm sentences into as many as 13 sentences on positive sentiment, 24 sentences on negative sentiment, and 70 sentences on neutral sentiment. © 2022 IEEE.

Environmental monitoring plays a crucial role in understanding the impact of human activities on our ecosystems. However, the cost and complexity of traditional monitoring systems often hinder widespread deployment, especially in resource-constrained regions. This research paper explores the feasibility and effectiveness of employing Arduino Internet of Things (IoT) modules as a low-cost alternative for environmental research monitoring. The study focuses on designing and implementing an Arduino-based environmental monitoring system capable of gathering real-time data on key environmental parameters, such as temperature, humidity, air quality, and soil moisture. The hardware setup comprises Arduino microcontrollers interfaced with a range of environmental sensors and connectivity modules for data transmission. To assess the system's reliability and accuracy, a series of field experiments were conducted in diverse environmental settings, including urban areas, agricultural zones, and natural habitats. The collected data was compared against measurements from conventional monitoring equipment to validate the Arduino-based system's performance. The research demonstrates that the Arduino IoT modules can effectively monitor and transmit environmental data with a reasonable level of accuracy and stability, making them suitable for various environmental research applications. The low-cost nature of Arduino components and the open-source ecosystem facilitate customization and scalability, enabling researchers and organizations to develop tailored monitoring solutions for specific environmental contexts. Additionally, the paper discusses the challenges and limitations encountered during the deployment of Arduino-based monitoring systems, including power constraints, sensor calibration, and data processing techniques.
