The problem of image recognition in the computer vision systems is being *** results of the development of efficient classification methods,given the figure of processing speed,based on the analysis of the segment representation of the structural description in the form of a set of descriptors are *** propose three versions of the classifier according to the following principles:“object-etalon”,“object descriptor-etalon”and“vector description of the object-etalon”,which are not similar in level of integration of researched data *** options for constructing clusters over the whole set of descriptions of the etalon database,separately for each of the etalons,as well as the optimal method to compare sets of segment centers for the etalons and object,are *** experimental rating of the efficiency of the created classifiers in terms of productivity,processing time,and classification quality has been realized of the *** proposed methods classify the set of etalons without *** have formed the inference about the efficiency of classification approaches based on segment *** time of image processing according to the developedmethods is hundreds of times less than according to the traditional one,without reducing the accuracy.

The continued improvement and development of study programmes content for mutual recognition of study programmes among the largest technical universities in the Baltic region provides a very good opportunity for regional development as it brings a good advancement in academics and research at the involved universities, allows for more flexible and reliable collaboration with industrial partners, and provides an opportunity to develop new technologies and implement them for regional support. The goal of the development is to promote the involvement of students in the design of adaptive systems by providing them with the necessary set of skills that will allow them to immediately engage in the design of innovative adaptive systems and successfully solve technological challenges that have been identified through the cooperation of educational and research institutions. The adoption of an innovative educational strategy will aid in the creation of new technology and creative solutions even before students begin their studies. During the last few years, there has been a growing interest in the topic of using natural or synthetic esters as an alternative to mineral oils in oil transformers due to the easier way to obtain them and their ability to exhibit better electrical properties. In addition, more and more researchers are describing in their work that doping esters with nanoparticles is capable of further improving these properties. Therefore, in the current work, it was decided to see what effect the addition of a hydrophobic carbon shell iron nanoparticle to ORLEN mineral oil and Midel 7131 synthetic ester would have on selected electrical parameters of the insulating fluid, i.e. breakdown voltage and electrical strength.

With the rising acceptance of virtual network functions (VNFs) as a replacement for traditional network functions, the optimal placement of VNFs has become a crucial task for ensuring constant performance within constrained resources. This research investigates the challenge of mapping and scheduling VNFs as a multi-objective optimization problem. The state-of-the-art methods have focused on optimizing the mapping or scheduling of VNFs while considering one or two objectives continuously. In this study, we aim to optimize two objectives: minimizing the link capacity cost and maximizing the average resource utilization of each virtual machine. To address this problem, an adaptation of the NSGA-III optimization algorithm is proposed and thoroughly evaluated through a set of experiments. In terms of objective values, the results outlined that the proposed method outperformed the other methods of comparison by a significant margin. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

The increasingly massive use of e-Learning illustrates the speed and need for innovation in learning. According to the National Higher Education Standards (SN-Dikti), constructive alignment is required between learning outcomes, processes, and assessments to properly implement learning in e-Learning. Assessment is an essential component of e-Learning. Unfortunately, the problem of assessment in e-Learning is still found. One of them is the limitations of e-Learning in accommodating and processing various assessment data, primarily linguistic. Even though the variety of assessment data, both numerical, linguistic, and a combination of the two, supports a comprehensive assessment. On the other hand, the accommodation of linguistic data raises problems regarding how to process of unifying linguistic data is carried out. Research related to linguistic data using computing with words has been carried out, but it still needs more precise results from the unification of the linguistic data. Therefore, this study proposes providing an assessment instrument to accommodate linguistic data in e-Learning, as well as showing how to process of unifying linguistic data is carried out using 2-Tuple Fuzzy Linguistic. This approach can avoid the loss of assessment information by presenting more informative and precise results in a 2-tuple (s, α) where s indicates the ability level, and α shows a comparison of abilities with other learners and the potential of the learner to achieve higher abilities. This proposal has the potential to be applied in a learner assessment system for higher education e-Learning. © 2022 IEEE.

The employee recruitment process is one of the essential steps needed in creating a solid team, so we need a decision support system to assist Human Resources (HR) in conducting new recruitment, namely the Applicant Profiling Analysis. This application can find out a person's personality to support employee recruitment standards. The model used to determine employees' personality is the DISC (Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, Compliance). This research aims to analyze and measure the usability of the personality classification system in classifying personality using the DISC model on tweets on social media Twitter of the applicant. DISC personality classification system has a 100% success rate, where none of the users fail to operate the application. Usability Testing in this resereach using User Experience Questionare (UEQ). The level of user experience using obtained the good of each scale tested with aspect Clarity, Efficiency, and Accuracy. © 2021 IEEE.

This research focuses on the review of Fintech and its development on the IoT Platform and also the risks that can be posed to the IoT network used. Finance is the most essential side of several other sectors which in this case often experience many losses, one of the biggest losses is the existence of hackers and theft of money through the Internet platform or Internet Server. This research reviews how the ins and outs of the flow of funds located on servers or online banks. And ways to overcome hackers and bypass data. Comprehensively reviewed in this research review. This research discusses Cryptocurrency Analysis, Bitcoin, and Ethereum Comparison which are some of the methods used in online-based Finance, which is without currency but has the same value even more than currency if the conversion process is carried out at the bank. In this research, it is comprehensively discussed how methods are carried out in the process of securing data, Cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, and Ethereum are comprehensively discussed to get a lot of data and comparisons and the right steps to deal with crime via the internet. The predicted use of IoT in the Fintech sector is 140 billion connected devices, IoT Loans 110 billion connected devices, and IoT insurance with an estimated 90 billion connected devices, in the approaching 2026.

Increasingly, robots are adopted for routine tasks such as cleaning and disinfection of public spaces, raising questions about attitudes and trust of professional cleaners who might in future have robots as teammates, and whether the general public feels reassured when disinfection is carried out by robots. In this paper, we present the results of a mixed-methods user study exploring how trust and reassurance by both professional cleaners and members of the public is affected by the use of a UV-C disinfection robot and information about its performance after disinfecting a simulated classroom. The results show a range of insights for those designing and wishing to deploy UV-C robots: we found that trust and reassurance are affected by information about the UV-C robot’s task performance, with more information coinciding with significantly more agreement to be able to judge that the robot is doing a good job. However, care should be taken when designing information about task performance to avoid misinterpretation. Overall, the results suggest a generally positive picture regarding the use of UV-C disinfecting robots and that cleaning professionals would be happy to have them as their teammates; however, there were also some concerns regarding the effect on less-skilled jobs. Taken together, our results provide considerations to make UV-C robots welcomed by cleaning teams as well as to provide reassurance to space users.

Data Partitioning and Scheduling Schemes for Federated Platoon-Based Vehicular Cloud

The organization of vehicles into platoons, a convoy of vehicles with the same relative distance between them in a given road lane, is very promising due to its contributions to intelligent transportation systems. A significant reduction in traffic congestion, fuel consumption, and pollution can be achieved by forming platoons on the road. Furthermore, as powerful processing units and other resources embedded in platoon vehicles may not be fully utilized during the entire travel period, the vehicles in the platoon can collaborate to form a federated platoon-based vehicular cloud to meet the high demand for computing resources and services in vehicular environments. In order to make advancements in the deployment of federated platoon-based vehicular cloud, two key contributions are made in this study. Firstly, the concept of federated platoon-based vehicular cloud computing for task execution in a vehicular environment is highlighted. Secondly, data partitioning and scheduling schemes that distribute data chunks of large and divisible application data among platoon vehicles are proposed considering the characteristics of vehicular resources, network parameters, and the position of vehicles in the platoon. The data partitioning and scheduling schemes, which are modeled based on the different information flow typologies of vehicular platoon, consist of the Bi-Directional Recursive (BD-R), Bi-Directional Interlaced (BD-I), Bi-Directional Lead Recursive (BDL-R), Bi-Directional Lead Interlaced (BDL-I), Bi-Directional Lead Aggregate Recursive (BDLA-R) and the Bi-Directional Lead Aggregate Interlaced (BDLA-I). Performance analysis carried out through realistic simulations showed that while the BDL-R and BDL-I schemes have the best performance in terms of task execution time, the other schemes have the advantage of enforcing priority in unprocessed data transmission and dependency in the aggregation of processed data chunks by each platoon member. © 2022, The Authors. ANEC: An Amharic Named Entity Corpus and Transformer Based Recognizer

Named Entity Recognition is an information extraction task that serves as a preprocessing step for other natural language processing tasks, such as machine translation, information retrieval, and question answering. Named entity recognition enables the identification of proper names as well as temporal and numeric expressions in an open domain text. For Semitic languages such as Arabic, Amharic, and Hebrew, the named entity recognition task is more challenging due to the heavily inflected structure of these languages. In this paper, we present an Amharic named entity recognition system based on bidirectional long short-term memory with a conditional random fields layer. We annotate a new Amharic named entity recognition dataset (8,070 sentences, which has 182,691 tokens) and apply Synthetic Minority Over-sampling Technique to our dataset to mitigate the imbalanced classification problem. Our named entity recognition system achieves an F-1 score of 93%, which is the new state-of-the-art result for Amharic named entity recognition.
