CAD is a comprehensive and integrated system, which integrates information technology and application domain technology. The objective behind this study is to realize the development trend of manufacturing industry towards networking, informatization, intelligence, industrialization and integration. This project takes cloud computing as a new technology, and according to the application requirements of manufacturing informatization, it puts forward the deployment and release of business application services according to user needs. The experimental results demonstrate the feasibility of applying cloud computing technology to manufacturing information management software. Reasonable allocation and scheduling of soft manufacturing resources, avoid resource waste and resource conflict, and maximize resource utilization. © 2022 CAD Solutions, LLC.

This work introduces a novel approach to improve the precision of distance estimation in localization systems by using existing LoRaWAN and RSSI-based techniques. Despite the benefits of range and power efficiency, these systems exhibit limited accuracy in practical situations. To address the limitation, this study provides an innovative technique that greatly improves the precision of distance estimations, particularly in urban environments. The fundamental basis of this approach lies in the use of a dynamic path loss model. An additional element is to accommodate the varied and dynamic conditions of signal transmission in metropolitan areas. A better Kalman filter is also used in the study. This is important because it reduces the effects of multipath fading and environmental noise that often make RSSI-based localization in LoRaWAN networks less accurate. The study further examines the influence of the environmental exponent, also known as the path loss exponent, on the RSSI results and the precision of the distance measurements. This methodology achieves the average error under 1 meters for indoor environments and under 7 meters for outdoor environments. Finally, the Cumulative Density Function (CDF) shows 90 % of the distance estimation algorithm error for indoor environment is lower than 1.08 meters while for outdoor environment is lower than 7.55 meters. Based on these improvements, the introduced methodology not only enhances and improves existing approaches but also optimizes the precision and dependability of urban localization technologies, with substantial implications for a variety of practical applications. © 2013 IEEE.

Software testing is an essential activity for developing and maintaining high-quality software. Unit testing with test code (test cases) is a fundamental testing activity, and developers can test their production code whenever they create or modify the code. However, such quality assurance relies on the correctness of the test code. If a test code had a flaw, it would mislead the developers about the hidden faults and prevent early detection of the faults. This paper focuses on "test smells,"which may cause test code flaws in Python programs, and analyzes their changing trends over commit history (code changes) toward better Python test code management. Through an empirical data analysis of 100 open-source projects, the paper reports the following findings: (1) a few kinds of test smells constitute the majority of smells detected in the studied projects, and (2) most kinds of smells tend to increase over commits, i.e., many test smells are likely to have remained in test code as technical debt. © 2023 IEEE.

Most software systems have different stakeholders with a variety of *** process of collecting requirements from a large number of stakeholders is vital but *** propose an efficient,automatic approach to collecting requirements from different stakeholders’responses to a specific *** use natural language processing techniques to get the stakeholder response that represents most other stakeholders’*** study improves existing practices in three ways:Firstly,it reduces the human effort needed to collect the requirements;secondly,it reduces the time required to carry out this task with a large number of stakeholders;thirdly,it underlines the importance of using of data mining techniques in various software engineering *** approach uses tokenization,stop word removal,and word lemmatization to create a list of frequently accruing *** then creates a similarity matrix to calculate the score value for each response and selects the answer with the highest *** experiments show that using this approach significantly reduces the time and effort needed to collect requirements and does so with a sufficient degree of accuracy.

Coherent Detection of Discrete Variable Quantum Key Distribution using Homodyne Technique

In Discrete Variable Quantum Key Distribution (DV-QKD), homodyne detection method is frequently employed for its simplicity in use, effectiveness in terms of error correction, and suitability with contemporary optical communication systems. Being a coherent detection method, it relies on a local oscillator whose frequency is matched to that of the transmitted carrier’s signal. In this paper we evaluate a Free Space Optical (FSO) DV-QKD system based on the KMB09 protocol using Homodyne detection under random phase fluctuation and depolarizing noise error. We present simulation results for System Efficiency and Quantum Bit Error Rate (QBER) for the proposed model. An obtained efficiency (≈ 25%) for our proposed DV-QKD system model shows that under atmospheric turbulence and noise effect, it is inline with the available analytical results. However, the inclusion of random phase fluctuation and noise led to higher-than-normal QBER which is anticipated in a real-world scenario. © 2024, CC BY.

With the development of hardware devices and the upgrading of smartphones,a large number of users save privacy-related information in mobile devices,mainly smartphones,which puts forward higher demands on the protection of mobile users’privacy *** present,mobile user authenticationmethods based on humancomputer interaction have been extensively studied due to their advantages of high precision and non-perception,but there are still shortcomings such as low data collection efficiency,untrustworthy participating nodes,and lack of *** this end,this paper proposes a privacy-enhanced mobile user authentication method with motion sensors,which mainly includes:(1)Construct a smart contract-based private chain and federated learning to improve the data collection efficiency of mobile user authentication,reduce the probability of the model being bypassed by attackers,and reduce the overhead of data centralized processing and the risk of privacy leakage;(2)Use certificateless encryption to realize the authentication of the device to ensure the credibility of the client nodes participating in the calculation;(3)Combine Variational Mode Decomposition(VMD)and Long Short-TermMemory(LSTM)to analyze and model the motion sensor data of mobile devices to improve the accuracy of model *** experimental results on the real environment dataset of 1513 people show that themethod proposed in this paper can effectively resist poisoning attacks while ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of mobile user authentication.

The rapid growth of electronic commerce (e-commerce) has revolutionized the way Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) conduct business, enabling them to reach global markets and unlock new growth opportunities. However, this digital transformation has also exposed SMEs to an escalating array of cybersecurity threats that could compromise their data, financial integrity, and reputation. Blockchain technology, known for its decentralized and immutable nature, has emerged as a potential solution to enhance the security and resilience of e-commerce operations for SMEs. This research paper aims to investigate the current state of cybersecurity preparedness among SMEs engaged in e-commerce and identify the prevalent threats they face in the digital landscape. To achieve this goal, the study incorporates systematic literature review (SLR) method to examine the best technological solution to address the cybersecurity issues faced by e-commerce organizations in this paper of SMEs operating in e-commerce to gather data on their security practices, incident history, and perceptions of cybersecurity risks. In the context of this research, blockchain technology will be explored as a potential mechanism to enhance the security of e-commerce operations for SMEs. The inherent features of blockchain, such as decentralization, transparency, and immutability, could help protect sensitive data and thwart cyberattacks. By exploring the integration of blockchain into e-commerce systems, the research aims to shed light on the potential benefits and challenges associated with its adoption by SMEs. The research findings will not only shed light on the prevailing cybersecurity practices within SMEs and highlight their vulnerabilities but will also explore how blockchain technology can be leveraged to address these challenges. Protecting equipment and objects from fire in warehouses and industry premises is essential due to a high number of people present, valuable equipment or inventory and possibly dangerous goods. It is mostly often conducted by using smoke and fire sensors along with extinguishing systems. Still, in facilities with valuable inventory and equipment, it is also necessary to protect equipment from damage caused by water. This paper proposes a multi-agent robotic fire extinguishing model consisted of autonomous robots divided into two groups: Patrol Robots and Fire Extinguishing (FE) robots, called PR-FER model. The main methodology of the PR-FER model is using small patrol autonomous robots as a surveillance robots that will first map the surveillance area, determine the patrol paths, and conduct surveillance according to the predefined schedule. They are equipped with the devices for detecting fire and high temperatures such as RGB, IR and Thermal Imaging cameras and various sensors. Furthermore, they will have high capacity batteries which will enable them a long autonomy. In case of a detection of too high temperatures and fire, patrol robots would map the dangerous location and call FE robots to extinguish it. The FE robots are more robust and heavier robots equipped with fire extinguishers. During the fire extinguishing procedure the patrol robots would notify the fire department and enable them a video streaming in order to get an early awareness of the situation on the field. © 2023 IEEE.

Sustainable bamboo and coconut shell activated carbon for purifying river water on Borneo Island

This research aims to transform agricultural waste abundantly available in Sarawak into activated carbon as a sustainable water treatment source. Seven river water samples from Sarawak River were collected and treated with 2 g, 4 g, 6 g, 8 g, and 10 g of bamboo activated carbon (BAC) and coconut shell activated carbon (CSAC). Parameters investigated include Total Suspended Solids (TSS), Dissolved Oxygen (DO), Ammoniacal nitrogen (NH₃-N), pH, Temperature. The removal of TSS and NH₃-N increases with the increment of the BAC and CSAC dosages from 2 g to 10 g. 10 g of BAC is able to remove 83.35 % of TSS and 82.61 % of NH₃-N in 750 ml of river water, while 10 g of CSAC is only able to remove 79.18 % of TSS and 83.73 % of NH₃-N for 750 ml of river water. Results revealed that BAC is marginally more effective than CSAC in treating river water. DO levels were lowered undesirably after the treatment process. The temperature slightly increases after treatment due to exothermic chemical reactions and adsorption processes. The treatment brings little impact on pH level. The developed BAC and CSAC have proven sustainable, simple, low cost, and environmentally friendly with their excellent porous structure and large specific surface area for river water treatment. © 2023 The Authors

The use of information technology plays an important and necessary role in the development of ecotourism institutional. Likewise, if the development and progress of information technology can be applied to the small and medium businesses related to the ecotourism industry then, the selling value of the ecotourism industry will develop and increase. This research was conducted to determine the level of readiness of the ecotourism industry in carrying out the sustainable implementation of information technology in managing the ecotourism industry. We developed a research model by combining and adapting the technology readiness model and the successful information technology development model for the development of the ecotourism industry in six ecotourism units in Indonesia. This quantitative study involved 300 SME workers and managers. Data was processed and analyzed using the Multi Dimensional Scaling method, with descriptive data entered into a spreadsheet application. According to the analysis performed for this study, the sustainability index value was 53.11%, which is in the range of (50-74.99) percent or is fairly sustainable. The leverage attribute refers to the use of social media to promote wild products in the ecotourism sector. Wild products are goods or services that are produced without causing environmental harm. © 2023 IEEE.
