A batch microfabrication of a self-cleaning,ultradurable electrochemical sensor employing a BDD film for the online monitoring of free chlorine in tap water

Free chlorine is one of the key water quality parameters in tap ***,a free chlorine sensor with the characteristics of batch processing,durability,antibiofouling/antiorganic passivation and in situ monitoring of free chlorine in tap water continues to be a challenging *** this paper,a novel silicon-based electrochemical sensor for free chlorine that can self-clean and be mass produced via microfabrication technique/MEMS(Micro-Electro-Mechanical System)is proposed.A liquid-conjugated Ag/AgCI reference electrode is fabricated,and electrochemically stable BDD/Pt is employed as the working/counter electrode to verify the effectiveness of the as-fabricated sensor for free chlorine *** sensor demonstrates an acceptable limit of detection(0.056 mg/L)and desirable linearity(R^(2)=0.998).Particularly,at a potential of+2.5 V,hydroxyl radicals are generated on the BBD electrode by electrolyzing water,which then remove the organic matter attached to the surface of the sensor though an electrochemical digestion *** performance of the fouled sensor recovers from 50.2 to 94.1%compared with the initial state after self-cleaning for 30 *** addition,by employing the MEMS technique,favorable response consistency and high reproducibility(RSD<4.05%)are observed,offering the opportunity to mass produce the proposed sensor in the future.A desirable linear dependency between the pH,temperature,and flow rate and the detection of free chlorine is observed,ensuring the accuracy of the sensor with any hydrologic *** interesting sensing and selfcleaning behavior of the as-proposed sensor indicate that this study of the mass production of free chlorine sensors by MEMS is successful in developing a competitive device for the online monitoring of free chlorine in tap water.

This paper presents a study of the segmentation of medical *** paper provides a solid introduction to image enhancement along with image segmentation *** the first step,the morphological operations are employed to ensure image detail protection and *** objective of using morphological operations is to remove the defects in the texture of the ***,the Fuzzy C-Means(FCM)clustering algorithm is used to modify membership function based only on the spatial neighbors instead of the distance between pixels within local spatial neighbors and cluster *** proposed technique is very simple to implement and significantly fast since it is not necessary to compute the distance between the neighboring pixels and the cluster *** is also efficient when dealing with noisy images because of its ability to efficiently improve the membership partition *** results are performed on different medical image ***(Us),X-ray(Mammogram),Computed Tomography(CT),Positron Emission Tomography(PET),and Magnetic Resonance(MR)images are the main medical image modalities used in this *** obtained results illustrate that the proposed technique can achieve good results with a short time and efficient image *** results on different image modalities show that the proposed technique can achieve segmentation accuracies of 98.83%,99.71%,99.83%,99.85%,and 99.74%for Us,Mammogram,CT,PET,and MRI images,respectively.

Due to the lack of effective mpox detection tools, the mpox virus continues to spread worldwide and has been once again declared a public health emergency of international concern by the World Health Organization. Lightweight deep learning model-based detection systems are crucial to alleviate mpox outbreaks since they are suitable for widespread deployment, especially in resource-limited scenarios. However, the key to its successful application depends on ensuring that the model can effectively model local features and long-range dependencies in mpox lesions while maintaining lightweight. Inspired by the success of Mamba in modeling long-range dependencies and its linear complexity, we proposed a lightweight hybrid architecture called MpoxMamba for efficient mpox detection. MpoxMamba utilizes depth-wise separable convolutions to extract local feature representations in mpox skin lesions and greatly enhances the model's ability to model the global contextual information by grouped Mamba modules. Notably, MpoxMamba's parameter size and FLOPs are 0.77M and 0.53G, respectively. Experimental results on two widely recognized benchmark datasets demonstrate that MpoxMamba outperforms state-of-the-art lightweight models and existing mpox detection methods. Importantly, we developed a web-based online application to provide free mpox detection. In the current era of seamless integration across various contexts, the ability to track mobility both indoors and outdoors has become crucial for many individuals. Tracking the path of mobility from the initial point to the final destination is essential in numerous aspects of human life. This study presents a location-Aware computing application that facilitates the smooth integration of indoor and outdoor environments by combining both requirements within a smart device-based system, without any barriers. The proposed work utilizes the Global Positioning System (GPS) and the Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) to measure external conditions, while Wi-Fi Fingerprinting (Wi-Fi) is employed to accurately determine the user's indoor locations using received signal strength indicator. The integration of indoor and outdoor technologies ensures seamless user mobility. As users transition between different conditions, the system effectively addresses the complexities that arise between indoor and outdoor locations. The transition time between indoor and outdoor is less than 5 seconds, with seamless switching occurring in the overlapped areas. In our experiments conducted within a campus building, the system achieved a remarkable accuracy of 98.4% for outdoor-To-indoor movement and 97.7% for the reverse movement. Furthermore, the seamless location system offers significant benefits to users, including the discovery of new system features, access to directional maps, and guidance along pathways from their current locations. © 2023 IEEE.

From the beginning,the process of research and its publication is an ever-growing phenomenon and with the emergence of web technologies,its growth rate is *** a rough estimate,more than thirty thousand research journals have been issuing around four million papers annually on *** engines,indexing services,and digital libraries have been searching for such publications over the ***,getting the most relevant articles against the user requests is yet a *** is mainly because the articles are not appropriately indexed based on the hierarchies of granular subject *** overcome this issue,researchers are striving to investigate new techniques for the classification of the research articles especially,when the complete article text is not available(a case of nonopen access articles).The proposed study aims to investigate the multilabel classification over the available metadata in the best possible way and to assess,“to what extent metadata-based features can perform in contrast to content-based approaches.”In this regard,novel techniques for investigating multilabel classification have been proposed,developed,and evaluated on metadata such as the Title and Keywords of the *** proposed technique has been assessed for two diverse datasets,namely,from the Journal of universal computer science(***)and the benchmark dataset comprises of the articles published by the Association for computing machinery(ACM).The proposed technique yields encouraging results in contrast to the state-ofthe-art techniques in the literature.

Sri Lanka is one of the top tourist destinations in the world. However, tourists face various inconveniences due to the obsolescence of facilities. There are various tools designed to solve such problems. But they are scattered in different places and users have to use different tools. The biggest issue in the tourist sector is that travelers are unable to get the most out of their tours since there may be days when a large number of people visit the same location, causing the location to become overcrowded, and preventing tourists from enjoying their visit as anticipated. There are seasons when natural disasters occur, as well as human-centered crises. Also, there are situations when travelers feel helpless because they are unable to find the best tour guide for them. We developed a cost-effective, automatic, and efficient Machine Learning-based recommendation system as a result of this research. Based on past data on tourists and data received from the SLTDA, this research can provide the best trip plan with the tour guide and provide destination news alerts on regular basis. Furthermore, in order to achieve the best accuracy through the system, unique machine learning approaches were used in this study. © 2022 IEEE.

ChatGPT is a powerful chatbot that used to generate human-like text. Chat GPT, developed by OpenAI, can answer many questions honestly, like a personal teacher who knows almost everything. It can perform various tasks such as question and answer, solving mathematical equations, writing text, debugging, and translating between languages. Compared to traditional chatbots, ChatGPT has been adopted by many users since its introduction. Some users feel that ChatGPT will override most content creation professions. This study analyzed users’ feelings about ChatGPT by analyzing tweets shared about ChatGPT. For this purpose, a hybrid Deep Learning (DL) model was developed using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and Bi- Long Short-Term Memory (Bi-LSTM) models. The study has been compared with a number of DL and Machine Learning algorithms, LSTM, Bi-LSTM, CNN, Gated Recurrent Unit, Random Forests and Support Vector Machines. The experimental outcomes demonstrated that, the FastText-trained CNN-Bi-LSTM model exceeded the other models in terms of accuracy, reaching 96.59%.

This study proposes a novel nature-inspired meta-heuristic optimizer based on the Reptile Search Algorithm combed with Salp Swarm Algorithm for image segmentation using gray-scale multi-level thresholding,called *** proposed method introduces a better search space to find the optimal solution at each ***,we proposed RSA-SSA to avoid the searching problem in the same area and determine the optimal multi-level *** obtained solutions by the proposed method are represented using the image *** proposed RSA-SSA employed Otsu’s variance class function to get the best threshold values at each *** performance measure for the proposed method is valid by detecting fitness function,structural similarity index,peak signal-to-noise ratio,and Friedman ranking *** benchmark images of COVID-19 validate the performance of the proposed *** results showed that the proposed RSA-SSA outperformed other metaheuristics optimization algorithms published in the literature.
