As a high-level programming language, Python supports user-friendly coding and system integration. It is not only used for data analytics but is also applied in software development. Although it has several benefits, users have various issues while running Python code. When programmers face issues, they often use Stack Overflow (SO) to get assistance for their problems. However, many Pythonrelated questions on SO are not responded to and remain unanswered. Thus, in this paper, we analyzed these unanswered questions to identify potential weaknesses of user and discussion characteristics. We applied a mixed-methods approach, including quantitative and qualitative analysis of user reputation, question types, and discussion topics. Our analysis shows that unanswered questions are mostly from low-reputation users (72.52%), followed by mid-reputation users (17.93%), and high-reputation users (9.5 5%). The distribution of the unanswered question types shows that low-reputation users ask more 'how' type of question (38.90%) followed by mid and high-reputation users. In contrast, the 'what' and 'why' questions are mostly posted by high-reputation users, followed by mid and low-reputation users. Our word-cloud analysis suggests a correlation between user reputation and the question topics. We acknowledge that there are limitations in our study, include potential misclassifications due to the time of posting and biases in manual labeling, which may affect the accuracy of our findings. This study provides insights into unanswered questions posted by the community, open up potential areas for future work such as improving support mechanisms and community engagement. © 2024 IEEE.

Breast cancer is a disease that is prevalent all over the world, and that is essential for the efficient treatment and care of breast cancer patients who are monitored remotely. However, traditional conventional centralized systems for patient monitoring face challenges in providing effective and efficient care for breast cancer patients, including limited access to medical records, ineffective communication, and patient participation. Fragmentation of records and difficulty in obtaining information can hinder patient care in terms of both privacy and data security. The proposed system uses machine learning, blockchain, smart contracts, hybrid access control, and hybrid intrusion prevention and detection to diagnose breast cancer decentralized. The technology analyses medical data using advanced machine learning algorithms to diagnose breast cancer accurately and provide healthcare practitioners with relevant insights. The blockchain stores patient information, diagnostic results, and metadata transparently and securely to protect data integrity and privacy. Smart contracts automate and enforce rules, securing data and improving diagnostic workflow. User roles and attributes are used to manage access to sensitive data and improve collaboration. Patients, doctors, and researchers have different permits and limits. Secures granular data and prevents unauthorized access. Scalability and network congestion are addressed via a hybrid network management system. The system optimizes resource allocation, load balancing, and data transfer by integrating centralized and decentralized methodologies. These features reduce delays and assure seamless operation. Experimental results reveal that the suggested system detects breast cancer more accurately than centralized methods. Brain tumors pose a significant medical challenge, necessitating precise and rapid diagnosis for effective treatment and improved patient outcomes. This paper introduces knowledge distillation, which has the potential to revolutionize brain tumor diagnosis by enabling early identification from medical imaging data. Using a sophisticated teacher' model to capture intricate patterns, we distill this knowledge into a more efficient "student' model, aiming for comparable accuracy with reduced memory usage and improved inference times. Our method, based on a dataset of 357 MRI scans, demonstrated the potential of knowledge distillation in brain tumor diagnosis, offering a promising avenue for advancing patient care. The proposed model serves as a vital tool for healthcare practitioners, providing accurate and efficient support in detecting brain tumors and contributing to advancements in healthcare technology. The evaluation results indicate the effectiveness of our technique, achieving an impressive accuracy of 98.10 © 2024 IEEE.

Unstructured Numerical Image Dataset Separation (UNIDS) method employing an enhanced unsupervised clustering technique. The objective is to delineate an optimal number of distinct groups within the input grayscale (G-S) image content, utilizing the improved limited iteration agglomerative clustering (iLIAC) clustering technique for the separation and enhancement of picture elements. The UNIDS method is structured into two primary stages: partitioning and validation. In the partitioning stage, the UNIDS method identifies an appropriate number of discrete clusters within the grayscale image using the iLIAC technique, eliminating the need for predetermined procedures. Subsequently, the method evaluates the similarity and deviation among data elements within the same group in the resultant image dataset. Additionally, it assesses the proximity and inters severance among clusters in the outcome of the image dataset through the partitioning process. Empirical results indicate that the UNIDS system excels in the spontaneous identification of an optimal number of discrete clusters within the input G-S image. The system demonstrates superior thickness, reduced deviation among data elements within the same cluster, increased inter-separation, and diminished inter-closeness between cluster elements. Furthermore, empirical analysis establishes the superior performance of the UNIDS approach compared to existing clustering techniques. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

Evaluating LightGBM Classifier for Knowledge Tracing on EdNet Dataset 1

Knowledge tracing is critical in educational data mining to accurately predict student performance and knowledge in future interactions. In this study, we utilized the EdNet dataset to implement different classifiers and evaluate their performance in knowledge tracing. We found that the LightGBM classifier outperformed other classifiers, achieving the highest accuracy of 0.723 on the test set. Furthermore, we applied three ensemble methods, including boosting, bagging, and stacking, to investigate if they could further improve the performance of the LightGBM classifier. Our experimental results showed that the stacking method provided the most significant improvement, while the bagging and boosting methods did not yield significant improvements. These findings suggest that the LightGBM classifier, combined with the boosting method, can be an effective approach for knowledge tracing and have potential practical applications in education. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Algorithms based on deep learning, especially the attention mechanism, have been the preference for hyperspectral remote sensing image classification. Recently, a spectral similarity based spatial attention module (S3AM) was designed to solve the deficiency that the existing attention modules cannot take the center pixel into full account for the deduction of the spatial attention. However, two crucial processes, including the calculation and conversion of spectral similarity, of this module may be affected by its single policy, which is harmful to alleviate the spectral variability and the accurate spatial attention. In this article, an improved version called S3AM++ which integrates the differential strategy into the original attention module is proposed for hyperspectral image classification. The S3AM++ divides each neighborhood of the center pixel into the relevant pixel and the interfering pixel implicitly to make the individual optimization of the network for the two kinds of pixels possible. Benefit from this specific, the spectral variability can be relieved effectively for the similarity calculation and the relevant pixels and the interfering pixels can be preserved and restrained appropriately during the similarity conversion, respectively. Experimental results reveal that the spatial attention derived by the S3AM++ is more representative and the classification performance of the model adopting the new attention module is superior. © 2023 ACM.

Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks (UWSNs) are emerging and have huge prospects since they have various applications in oceanography, environmental monitoring, and underwater communication. These networks contain low-cost submerged sensors that are mostly connected by way of acoustic media. Sensors are relatively new to underwater research, and thanks to recent technological development, they can now function at different depths. In this article, the author explores what UWSNs must do to operate smoothly by exploring the basic features that they must meet for further development. Real-time Underwater communication remains an open problem due to underwater acoustic channels important for undersea data acquisition, undersea navigation, and undersea remote sensing. To mitigate such challenges and in light of the use of new technologies, researchers seek to improve the reliability and reliability of UWSNs. Finally, there is great potential with UWSNs for investigating and exploiting the underwater environment by improving scenarios of different domains in line with subaqueous data and communications. © 2024 IEEE.

A notable increase in skin cancer mortality, one of the most lethal kinds of cancer, has been caused by a lack of awareness of warning signals and preventative measures. The need for early skin cancer diagnosis has increased because of the fast development rate of melanoma skin cancer, its high cost of treatment, and its mortality risk. Treatment of cancer cells usually requires perseverance and manual identification. This study recommends using image synthesis and machine learning techniques to develop a system for diagnosing skin cancer. Thermoscopic pictures are the input for the pre-processing phase. Following the segmentation of the thermoscopic images, the attributes of the injured skin cells are obtained using a feature extraction approach. Utilizing a convolutional neural network classifier with deep learning, the collected characteristics are stratified. An accuracy of 89% has been discovered using the publicly available dataset. © 2023 IEEE.
