Dengue fever is mostly prevalent in tropical and subtropical regions, where Aedes mosquitoes, the primary vectors for the virus, thrive in warm and humid environments. In West Bengal, a province in India, the typical duration of the dengue disease spans two to three months, necessitating substantial infrastructure for dengue patients during this period. If the government heavily invests in developing this infrastructure, there's a risk of these facilities remaining underutilized during periods of low dengue incidence. Conversely, without adequate investment, dengue could potentially escalate into an epidemic. This research seeks to identify regions where insufficient infrastructure impedes public healthcare systems from catering to dengue patients. The primary focus of this paper is to evaluate the necessary degree of public-private collaborations needed to address seasonal dengue epidemics and pinpoint specific durations within the healthcare system that require attention. © 2024 IEEE.

In the era of precision agriculture, effective and efficient monitoring of rice paddy fields is vital for optimizing crop yield and ensuring environmental sustainability. This study presents a novel approach utilizing a grid-structured Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) to monitor key environmental parameters such as soil moisture, temperature, and methane gas concentration. The novelty of this research lies in the detailed implementation of a grid-based sensor system that provides comprehensive coverage, enhanced data precision, and integration with artificial intelligence (AI) for predictive analysis. This system not only enables realtime monitoring but also generates actionable insights through a color-coded alert system that signals abnormal conditions such as excessive heat or harmful gas levels. The study demonstrates significant improvements in resource efficiency, including water management and reduced chemical usage, resulting in higher crop yields. The results highlight the potential for grid-based WSN systems to drive sustainable agriculture, offering precise interventions based on real-time environmental data. © 2024 IEEE.

Batch size is one of the determining factors in the quantity of sample data used in one iterative model training in deep learning. One of the key factors influencing the effectiveness of hyperparameters and model training results. Group size is very important in selection because the right group size will influence the effectiveness and performance of the training. Choosing a batch size that is too small or large can affect accuracy and performance. Deep Neural Network (DNN) algorithm is a form of artificial neural network consisting of several deep layers. There are several batch sizes used in data processing. Optimal performance for batch size is obtained when using a batch size of 64, as it yields the highest average AUC value of 0.815. Furthermore, the optimal configuration was achieved with a batch size of 64 and 6 hidden layers, utilizing a combination of Leaky-ReLV and Sigmoid activation functions, resulting in an AUC value of 0.83. © 2024 IEEE.

This research introduces real-time monitoring and localizing product stock using the First-In-First-Out (FIFO) method with radio frequency identification (RFID) pressure sensing tags. The proposed FIFO system has RFID pressure sensing tags that detect pressure changes, generate sensor codes, and estimate a stock location. Integrating artificial intelligence (AI) improves location estimation accuracy of up-to-date stock visibility. The ability of RFID pressure sensing tags and AI to detect stock from sensor code data enables more effective asset management, optimizes stock management, reduces product waste, and contributes to better efficiency in product inventory management. © 2024 The Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan.

Images for social media are an essential component of any blog or social media post. As we now live in the age of the ‘camera in everyone’s pocket’, a new dynamic era of image creation and content has emerged. However, people use media due to specific motives or gratifications that lead to their satisfaction of social media use. This research study utilized uses and gratification theory (UGT), a sociology theory related to the motives of people using the media. The UGT factors include enjoyment, entertainment, social influence, social interaction, and information sharing. There were 441 data that were collected and analysed. IBM SPSS Statistics 20 and Smart PLS 3.3.3 were used for the data analysis. Result showed that information sharing was the most influencing factors on users’ satisfaction to use image in social media. Therefore, the factors identified in these studies could be used as a guideline and references in future study related to social media awareness and implications. © 2022. Support Vector Machine(SVM)has become one of the traditional machine learning algorithms the most used in prediction and classification ***,its behavior strongly depends on some parameters,making tuning these parameters a sensitive step to maintain a good *** the other hand,and as any other classifier,the performance of SVM is also affected by the input set of features used to build the learning model,which makes the selection of relevant features an important task not only to preserve a good classification accuracy but also to reduce the dimensionality of *** this paper,the MRFO+SVM algorithm is introduced by investigating the recent manta ray foraging optimizer to fine-tune the SVM parameters and identify the optimal feature subset *** proposed approach is validated and compared with four SVM-based algorithms over eight benchmarking ***,it is applied to a disease Covid-19 *** experimental results show the high ability of the proposed algorithm to find the appropriate SVM’s parameters,and its acceptable performance to deal with feature selection problem.

Speech emotion recognition(SER)is an important research problem in human-computer interaction *** representation and extraction of features are significant challenges in SER *** the promising results of recent studies,they generally do not leverage progressive fusion techniques for effective feature representation and increasing receptive *** mitigate this problem,this article proposes DeepCNN,which is a fusion of spectral and temporal features of emotional speech by parallelising convolutional neural networks(CNNs)and a convolution layer-based *** parallel CNNs are applied to extract the spectral features(2D-CNN)and temporal features(1D-CNN)representations.A 2D-convolution layer-based transformer module extracts spectro-temporal features and concatenates them with features from parallel *** learnt low-level concatenated features are then applied to a deep framework of convolutional blocks,which retrieves high-level feature representation and subsequently categorises the emotional states using an attention gated recurrent unit and classification *** fusion technique results in a deeper hierarchical feature representation at a lower computational cost while simultaneously expanding the filter depth and reducing the feature *** Berlin Database of Emotional Speech(EMO-BD)and Interactive Emotional Dyadic Motion Capture(IEMOCAP)datasets are used in experiments to recognise distinct speech *** efficient spectral and temporal feature representation,the proposed SER model achieves 94.2%accuracy for different emotions on the EMO-BD and 81.1%accuracy on the IEMOCAP dataset *** proposed SER system,DeepCNN,outperforms the baseline SER systems in terms of emotion recognition accuracy on the EMO-BD and IEMOCAP datasets.

Side - channel attacks (SCA) exploit vulnerabilities introduced by insecure implementations in order to get information about the data that is being processed or the data itself via device leakages. The majority of modern attack techniques use AES systems, and several studies have exploited side-channel leakages. Exploiting leakages for the first and final rounds, often known as outer rounds, is frequently the foundation of the strategy. There is a possibility that outer round leakages cannot be attacked due to inadequate countermeasures or device design. The attacker has to focus their attention on the inner rounds. Deep learning side-channel attacks, whether they include profiling or not, have the potential to recover secret keys stored in cryptographic devices that use masked AES. Mask value profiling is being used in more recent techniques for the extraction of secret keys. The objective of our research is to defeat masked AES by deep learning methods like as multi-layer perceptrons and convolutional neural networks are used. In an environment when profiling is not taking place, we extract sensitive information using DDLA. The HW (Hamming Weight) model is used by our approach in order to carry out DDLA by means of an innovative binary labeling strategy. Using the ChipWhisperer power traces and the ASCAD dataset, we show profiling and non-profiling attacks. The accuracy of key recovery is at its maximum when the AES implementation is either masked or unmasked. © 2023 IEEE.

This study presents experimental results showing that weak, extremely low frequency electromagnetic (EM) fields influence the growth rates of HT-1080 fibrosarcoma cells in vitro and offers a theoretical explanation for these effects. The results demonstrate that weak magnetic fields both increase and decrease the growth rates of fibrosarcoma cells by altering the mitochondrial superoxide (O2-) and calcium ions (Ca2+) concentrations in living cells. Over a 4-day exposure period, fibrosarcoma growth rates were modulated in the presence of low-level alternating current (AC) magnetic fields at a 10 μT amplitude at 13.5 Hz to 30 Hz frequency, superimposed on a 45 μT static background field. Effects due to changes in amplitude from 10 to 30 μT at selected frequencies are also investigated with the same superimposed static field. © 2025 USNC-URSI.
