This article examines the parameters of speech recognition in audio recordings containing a variety of phrases uttered by different people with different accents and intonations. The aim of the study is to evaluate the recognition speed, the accuracy of audio-to-text conversion and resource consumption when using SpeechRecognition and Levenshtein libraries. During the analysis, the above libraries were used to record and recognize audio files, as well as to calculate the distance between two lines and determine the recognition accuracy. The findings of this study can be useful for improving speech recognition systems and creating more adaptive and efficient solutions for audio data processing. The results of comparing the accuracy of speech recognition models are recorded in JSON format, after which, using the matplotlib library, they are visualized as graphs, comparing the speed and accuracy of recognition. Visualization of data in this way contributes to their improvement and more effective integration into educational systems. In conclusion, the authors emphasize the prospects for further development of speech recognition technologies in different fields. © 2024 IEEE.

this paper discusses the capacity of artificial intelligence (AI)-pushed structures for automating records technological know-how duties including records cleaning, function engineering, and version improvement. We argue that those systems provide a promising opportunity to automate the hard work-extensive and time-ingesting venture of data technological know-how, enabling records scientists to recognition on the more creative factors of the paintings. We begin by using offering a brief evaluation of AI and its capacity packages after which study the existing AI-driven data technology gear on the market. We then describe a few revolutionary applications of AI and discuss their capability to improve existing facts technology approaches. Ultimately, we talk the demanding situations and barriers of AI-driven structures and advocate approaches to address them. We finish by using emphasizing the importance of responsibly integrating AI into the statistics science field and highlighting the capacity of collaboration between AI and facts technological know-how specialists. © 2023 IEEE.

For Cardio-thoracic technology education program, the focus is on teaching pathophysiology, as well as the interpretation of electrocardiograms (ECG), through case studies. The curriculum includes instruction on treatment options and the use of electrophysiology studies (EP studies) for tachycardia and cardiac ablation. A portion of e-learning resources for ECGs and EP studies are delivered via web-based platforms. However, to date, there have been no e-learning platforms that combine instruction on pathological ECGs, EP study, cardiac ablation, or simulations of EP which would provide a more comprehensive learning experience for students. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to create the electrophysiology study simulator program (EPSSIM), which serves as an e-learning platform for EP studies and ECG. The development started with gathering information about ECG from the medical records of patients at a public hospital. MATLAB was used to generate synthetic heart signals. Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 was used to construct the EPSSIM program. A total of 47 cardio-thoracic technology students who used the program completed a pre-test and post-test and questionnaires. The effectiveness and satisfaction of the EPSSIM program were evaluated. The results showed that participants' scores improved, but the improvement was restricted due to the short time that the students were able to use the system. The participants who completed the satisfaction survey generally indicated satisfaction with the effectiveness of EPSSIM. Overall, the use of the application was beneficial and the application could be successfully used in future to enhance users knowledge. © 2023 IEEE.

To recognize the potential for colon polyps to develop into cancer over time, early diagnosis is crucial for preventative healthcare. Timely identification significantly improves the prognosis and treatment outcomes for colorectal cancer patients. Image segmentation is crucial in medical image analysis for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Therefore, in this study, we present an alternative multilevel thresholding polyp segmentation method (MPOA) to enhance the segmentation of polyp images. The proposed method is based on enhancing the planet optimization algorithm (POA) by integrating operators from the reptile search algorithm (RSA). The evaluation of the developed MPOA is tested with different polyp images and compared with other image segmentation approaches. The results highlight the superior capability of MPOA, as evidenced by various performance measures in effectively segmenting polyp images. Furthermore, metrics such as peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR), structural similarity index (SSIM), and fitness values demonstrate that MPOA outperforms the basic version of POA and other methods. The evaluation outcomes underscore the significant impact of RSA in enhancing the performance of POA for the segmentation of polyp images. © The Author(s) 2025.

Feedforward Neural Network(FNN)is one of the most popular neural network models that is utilized to solve a wide range of nonlinear and complex *** models such as stochastic gradient descent have been developed to train ***,they mainly suffer from falling into local optima leading to reduce the accuracy of ***,the convergence speed of training process depends on the initial values of weights and biases in ***,these values are randomly determined by most of the training *** deal with these issues,in this paper,we develop a novel evolutionary algorithm by modifying the original version of Whale Optimization Algorithm(WOA).To this end,a nonlinear function is introduced to improve the exploration and exploitation phases in the search process of ***,the modified WOA is applied to automatically obtain the initial values of weights and biases in FNN leading to reduce the probability of falling into local *** addition,the FNN model trained by the modified WOA is used to develop a classification approach for medical diagnosis *** medical diagnosis datasets are utilized to evaluate the efficiency of the proposed ***,four evaluation metrics including accuracy,AUC,specificity,and sensitivity are used in the experiments to compare the performance of classification *** experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method is better than other competing classification models due to achieving higher values of accuracy,AUC,specificity,and sensitivity metrics for the used datasets.

Combination therapies in precision medicine promise to enhance treatment efficacy and combat drug resistance. Current drug combination prediction methods struggle to extract valuable insights from multi-omics cell line data and integrate them with protein-protein interaction (PPI) network information. To address these challenges, we introduce AE-XGBSynergy, a novel approach. AE-XGBSynergy integrates multi-omics cell line data and drug-cell line features derived from the PPI network's topological characteristics to predict drug synergy combinations. It employs the struc2vec algorithm to extract features for drugs and cell lines based on the PPI network's topological characteristics. Additionally, a pre-trained encoder captures abstract representations of high-dimensional cell line data. These representations of drug pairs and cell lines serve as input for an extreme gradient-boosting algorithm to predict drug combinations for cancer cell lines. We assessed our model's performance using two datasets: the O'Neil and DrugCombDB datasets, which provide extensive drug combination information. Our experimental results show that AE-XGBSynergy excels at integrating multi-omics data to predict drug synergies, with genomic data playing a particularly significant role. Notably, when compared to NEXGB, a hybrid model that includes drug and cell line features using a PPI network, our approach outperforms in terms of accuracy (ACC), AVC-ROC, AUC-PR, Precision, and F1-score. © 2023 IEEE.

In this letter, a triple-mode wideband filtering antenna with planar configuration is presented. The designed antenna has a single substrate layer, which consists of one half-mode circular patch resonator, one half-mode rectangular patch resonator, and one rectangular SIW cavity, and it is fed through the conventional coaxial probe. On the basis of the field analysis, these three types of resonators are compactly integrated without disturbing the resonant properties of their dominant modes. Given this, three resonant modes of half-TM11, half-TM10, and TE11 are well generated, so as to form a widened operating band. Meanwhile, four radiation nulls are produced from far-field radiation cancellation with the increased radiation boundaries. For validation, a prototype antenna with the center frequency of 2.8 GHz is designed and fabricated. The measured results indicate that the proposed antenna achieves an improved fractional bandwidth of 15.7% under three in-band resonances. Besides, four radiation nulls created at 2.32, 3.22, 3.49, and 3.89 GHz in stopband effectively enhance the out-of-band suppression level. Moreover, low profile of 0.037λ0 is also implemented. © 2002-2011 IEEE.

Efficient COVID-19 super pixel segmentation algorithm using MCFO-based SLIC

In computer vision segmentation field, super pixel identity has become an important index in the recently segmentation algorithms especially in medical images. Simple Linear Iterative Clustering (SLIC) algorithm is one of the most popular super pixel methods as it has a great robustness, less sensitive to the image type and benefit to the boundary recall in different kinds of image processing. Recently, COVID-19 severity increased with the lack of an effective treatment or vaccine. As the Corona virus spreads in an unknown manner, th-ere is a strong need for segmenting the lungs infected regions for fast tracking and early detection, no matter how small. This may consider difficult to be achieved with traditional segmentation techniques. From this perspective, this paper presents an efficient modified central force optimization (MCFO)-based SLIC segmentation algorithm to discuss chest CT images for detecting the positive COVID-19 cases. The proposed MCFO-based SLIC segmentation algorithm performance is evaluated and compared with the thresholding segmentation algorithm using different evaluation metrics such as accuracy, boundary recall, F-measure, similarity index, MCC, Dice, and Jaccard. The outcomes demonstrated that the proposed MCFO-based SLIC segmentation algorithm has achieved better detection for the small infected regions in CT lung scans than the thresholding segmentation. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.

The Bamboo Forest Growth Optimization(BFGO) algorithm is an algorithm proposed by the growth law of bamboo forest, which has the advantages of fast convergence and not easily falling into local optimum. In this paper we have experimented the BFGO with several other population intelligence optimization algorithms on 23 benchmark test functions and proved its superiority. Also we apply the bamboo forest optimization algorithm to nighttime image enhancement in this paper, and the algorithm achieves better results on this application. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Traffic sign recognition (TSR) in automotive driving ensures smooth driving and prevents accidents by collecting and recognizing the road traffic sign information, giving instructions or warnings, and making operations more manageable and safer. Most current traffic recognition methods are based on machine learning methods and perform well. However, Road traffic sign recognition in Automatic extreme environments needs to be further emphasized. In this paper, CNN is used to recognize road traffic signs under extreme weather conditions to help drivers deal with barriers in foggy or highlight situations. This technique provides an efficient way for drivers to identify the traffic signs in the foggy or highlight conditions, decreasing the frequency of traffic wrecks. Firstly, we adopt the methods to blur the picture, and then the processed image is used for training. A multi-layer convolution neural network learning algorithm is proposed. The results of the tests show that the average recognition rate of the algorithm for traffic signs in the natural environment is 97.1%, and the false recognition rate is less than 1%. The results of the experiments suggest that the algorithm we employed in our research works has an accurate recognition degree and can improve the recognition speed of the existing algorithms. © VDE VERLAG GMBH ∙ Berlin ∙ Offenbach.
