Multimodal platforms combining electrical neural recording and stimulation,optogenetics,optical imaging,and magnetic resonance(MRI)imaging are emerging as a promising platform to enhance the depth of characterization in neuroscientific *** conductive,optically transparent,and MRI-compatible electrodes can optimally combine all *** as a suitable electrode candidate material can be grown via chemical vapor deposition(CVD)processes and sandwiched between transparent biocompatible ***,due to the high graphene growth temperature(≥900℃)and the presence of polymers,fabrication is commonly based on a manual transfer process of pre-grown graphene sheets,which causes reliability *** this paper,we present CVD-based multilayer graphene electrodes fabricated using a wafer-scale transfer-free process for use in optically transparent and MRI-compatible neural *** fabricated electrodes feature very low impedances which are comparable to those of noble metal electrodes of the same size and *** also exhibit the highest charge storage capacity(CSC)reported to date among all previously fabricated CVD graphene *** graphene electrodes did not reveal any photo-induced artifact during 10-Hz light pulse ***,we show here,for the first time,that CVD graphene electrodes do not cause any image artifact in a 3T MRI *** results demonstrate that multilayer graphene electrodes are excellent candidates for the next generation of neural interfaces and can substitute the standard conventional metal *** fabricated graphene electrodes enable multimodal neural recording,electrical and optogenetic stimulation,while allowing for optical imaging,as well as,artifact-free MRI studies.

In agricultural water research, the adoption of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has emerged as a pivotal approach for large-scale data collection. Water availability in the context of water quality is very important, both for domestic and industrial purposes. For domestic purposes, drinking water and bathing water are separated. Meanwhile, for the palm oil industry, boiler filler is differentiated from additional process water (dilution water). Water quality parameters can be assessed from turbidity and Total Dissolve Solid (TDS). Measurements using measuring instruments separately and repeatedly require significant energy, time, and costs. This research was conducted with the primary objective of presenting a novel method for categorizing water quality with the approach of IoT sensor technology. The research methodology entailed the utilization of an integrated IoT water sensors system in conjunction with manual water categorization. The methods consist of (1) system design, (2) design and installation of sensor and IoT-based microcontrollers, and (3) accuracy and precision testing compared with laboratory measurements. The precision of the integrated IoT water sensors was assessed through a dedicated sensor precision test, resulting in an accuracy rate of 94.4% for the turbidity sensor and 97.5% for the TDS sensor. Notably, this approach successfully discriminated drinking water with valid categorization, while other water types, including groundwater, water with tea, and water with coffee, yielded null categorization results. © 2023 IEEE.

This study aims to improve the performance of message data transmission in Aggregated Robot Processing (ARP) architecture where the RELIABLE option of the RELIABILITY QoS (Quality of Service) policy is applied to a ROS 2 (Robot Operating system 2) node communication. Basically, the RELIABLE option guarantees that a publisher properly send all message data to a subscriber. However, the publisher could fail to transmit some message data to the subscriber even in the RELIABLE QoS option unless the buffer size of the publisher is enough. We introduce local cache to a sensing component to alleviate the issue in the case that the sensors output the same value in a row. The experimental results showed that the local cache improved the latency and reduced the message loss in node communication.

In this study, a computational fluid-structure interaction (FSI) framework for characteristic deformations in insect's wings is proposed. The proposed framework consists of a pixel wing model using a structured shell finite element mesh, a projection method for the monolithic FSI monolithic equations using an algebraic splitting, and the FSI dynamic similarity law to measure dynamic similarity between model's and actual insect's flights. It is shown that the proposed framework can directly simulate passive feathering and cambering in insect's wings caused by the FSI, whose magnitudes are very close to those of actual insects. © 2021 9th International Conference on Computational Methods for Coupled Problems in science and engineering, COUPLED PROBLEMS 2021. This study proposes a method that can easily grasp the relationship between the actual machine and the graphs. In recent years, there has been a lot of research on augmented reality displays. The fields of research range from education to welfare. In the development of control systems, when evaluating the performance of a system by simulation or experiment, the results are often checked as graphs. Since the graphs are checked on a PC using CAD or other means, it is difficult to know which part of the actual machine each graph corresponds to. Therefore, we developed a tool that displays graphs in augmented reality around the actual machine through a camera on a mobile terminal. To display graphs in augmented reality, it is important to obtain the coordinates of the actual machine and display them in a location associated with the device. Therefore, a USD model with the same shape and size as the actual machine is used. This is achieved by displaying the USD model in augmented reality so that it is superimposed on the actual machine. The accuracy of the tool was also examined and its usefulness was evaluated.

Phase Binarization in Mutually Synchronized Bias Field-free Spin Hall Nano-oscillators for Reservoir Computing

Mutually coupled spin Hall nano-oscillators (SHNO) can exhibit binarized phase state, offering pathways to realize Ising machines and efficient neuromorphic hardware. Conventionally, phase binarization is achieved in coupled SHNOs via injecting an external microwave at twice of the oscillator frequency in presence of a biasing magnetic field. However, this technology poses potential challenges of higher energy consumption and complex circuit design. Moreover, fabrication-induced mismatch in SHNO dimensions may hinder mutual synchronization. Addressing these challenges, we demonstrate purely DC current-driven mutual synchronization and phase binarization of two non-identical nanoconstriction SHNOs without biasing magnetic field and microwave injection. We thoroughly investigate these phenomena and underlying mechanisms using micromagnetic simulation. We further demonstrate the bias field-free synchronized SHNO pair efficiently performing a reservoir computing benchmark learning task: sin and square wave classification, utilizing current tunable phase binarization. Our results showcase promising magnetization dynamics of coupled bias field-free SHNOs for future computing applications. © 2024, CC BY.

In the last two decades,motor operation monitoring tools have become a necessity,and many studies focus on the detection and diagnosis of motor electrical ***,at present,a core obstacle that prevents the direct comparison of such classification techniques is the lack of a standard database that can be used as a *** view of this,we offer here a public experimental data-set that has beendesigned specifically for the comparison of synchronous motor electrical fault *** data-set comprises five types of motor electrical faults:open phase between inverter and motor;short circuit/leakage current between two phases;short circuit/leakage current in phase-to-neutral;rotor excitation voltage disconnection;and variation of rotor excitation *** addition,each fault has been recorded as a four-dimensional signal:three phase voltages;three phase currents;motor speed;and motor *** package includes two deep-learning reference classifiers that are based on a convolutional neural network(CNN)and long short term memory(LSTM).Due to the good performance of these classifiers,we suggest that they can be used by the community as benchmarks for the development of new and better motor electrical fault classification *** database and the reference classifiers are examined and insights regarding different combinations of features and lengths of recording points are *** developed code is available online,and is free to use.

The purpose of the study is to support test case design by introducing natural language processing techniques and reasoning schemes for designing. Sentences containing a logical relationship of implication (key sentences) are extracted from a specification document with natural language processing techniques, and supplementary explanation sentences for the key sentence (subordinate sentences) that complement parameters appeared in the key sentence are placed in Toulmin's reasoning scheme based on "similarity" to the key sentence. As a result, we succeeded in automatically generating test cases for product testing, and also in supporting to extract parameters for each test case.
