A low-voltage, low-power, wide gain-range variable gain amplifier (VGA) design has been proposed. To provide wide gain range feature, the proposed VGA utilizes a novel pseudo-exponential function. The design synthesis is simplified and optimized using gm=ID method which enables us to characterize transistors in any operating region based on their g m=ID and VGS relation. As the result, in CMOS 90nm technology under 1.2V supply voltage the proposed VGA has 75dB gain-range over 0.81V control voltage range, with 30MHz-184.8MHz bandwidth, and 0.72mW power consumption.

The article briefly analyzes the vibration mechanism of the gear fault and kinds of typical signal characteristics of the gears, and introduces successive fuzzy reasoning into the fault diagnosis of the gears. For the selection of characteristic parameters, we used the discrimination index DI to evaluate the identification ability of the characteristic parameters, and select the characteristic parameters of the largest value of DI. According to possibility theory and statistics and probability theory, we replace the original feature parameters into feature parameters of known distributional, and then equate the membership function used in fuzzy reasoning. Finally, the given diagnosis instance indicates that it is effective and feasible to use the method of successive fuzzy reasoning in the fault diagnosis of gears.

This paper is concerned with a simultaneous design problems of structural and reduced-order H ∞ control systems. The purpose of this paper is to propose an iterative approach to the simultaneous design problem, which constructs a sequence of infeasible controller variables The feature of our approach is that it is easy to choose an initial point which is needed to carry out the iterative approach. The efficiency of our approach is shown by a numerical example.
