Federated Learning (FL) and the Internet of Things (IoT) have revolutionized data processing and analysis, overcoming the traditional limitations of cloud computing. However, traditional machine learning strategies lead to increased costs and catastrophic forgetting due to model retraining with new datasets. Continual learning has been proposed to counter this, enabling models to adapt to new data while preserving previous knowledge, which is beneficial for dynamic edge environments. Despite these advantages, the retention of previous knowledge during the continual learning process may lead to the information leakage. To address the inherent challenges of multitask scenarios, we present a Federated Continual Learning (FCL) framework that integrates the privacy-preserving benefits of Federated Learning (FL) into a continual learning system, ensuring both continual learning and privacy preservation in edge computing data processing and analysis. Specifically, our architecture introduces dedicated fully-connected layers for each task. This architecture ensures that distinctive features pertinent to each task are not only captured but also preserved throughout the model's lifespan. Within our framework, data is processed via task-specific layers. Subsequently, the final label is determined by associating it with the paramount prediction value, thus capitalizing on the model's comprehensive knowledge reservoir to bolster prediction accuracy. We subjected our FCL framework to rigorous validation using two benchmark datasets: MNIST and CFAR-10. Experimental outcomes unequivocally substantiate the efficacy of our proposed methodology. © 2023 IEEE.

Real-time surface analysis is becoming increasingly important in various fields, including industry, medicine, and transportation. This article examines the problem of remote monitoring of surface texture in real time. The authors review the methods and techniques used for this task, focusing on high-precision technologies such as computer vision, laser scanning, and image processing techniques. The paper examines the importance of this real-time approach to support accurate and rapid decisions in industrial processes and medical diagnostics. The authors propose a method for detecting texture artifacts with machine learning and analyze the performance and quality of possible variations of its application. Based on the discussion, the authors draw conclusions regarding the effectiveness and prospects of the proposed approach in real-time remote monitoring of surface textures. They emphasize the importance of further research in this direction and the use of innovative technologies to improve the accuracy and speed of the monitoring process. Next-Generation Crowdsensing Networks (NGCNs) have become increasingly critical for smart cities, where data privacy and quality are pivotal concerns. Traditional trust mechanisms in crowdsensing mainly rely on static trust models, which are insufficient for dynamic security requirements. Zero-Trust security represents a promising opportunity, yet coming with notable challenges in NGCNs, including Unknown Workers Online Recruitment (UWOR), information Elicitation Without Verification (IEWV), Privacy Preserving Data Evaluation (PPDE), and Dynamic Trust Abrupt Shift (DTAS). To address these challenges, we propose a Credibility-aware and Privacy-preserving Data collection scheme with Zero-trust (CPDZ) for secure and quality data collection in NGCNs. First, our CPDZ scheme encompasses a quality worker recruitment strategy with combinatorial multi-armed bandit models, utilizing Thompson Sampling for the secure and efficient resolution of the UWOR. Second, an active dispatching scheme for unmanned aerial vehicles is crafted to collect data as a gold standard to assist in overcoming the IEWV challenge. Third, as for the PPDE challenge, we propose a lightweight privacy-preserving scheme for dependable truth discovery and secure trust verification. Fourth, the DTAS challenge is managed by a dual verification scheme that integrates short-term and long-term trust assessments, ensuring stability and adaptability of the zero-trust security in our CPDZ scheme. Experiments confirm the superiority of our CPDZ scheme, showing a 12.5% increase in recruitment revenue and a 57.8% reduction in relative error compared to existing approaches. © 1983-2012 IEEE.

A wireless sensor network (WSN) is a system of interconnected sensors that can gather environmental information. On the other hand, data redundancy is a common source of problems with WSNs. The literature presents a plethora of approaches. Despite these mechanisms’ best efforts, most current systems still need help with difficulties like noise, redundancy, or application specificity. Thus, we proposed an algorithm to overcome all the problems with redundant and highly correlated data. The longest common subsequence (LCSS)-enabled sliding window algorithm can resolve issues in constrained networks related to energy conservation and congestion control. The proposed method exhibits remarkable performance on multiple benchmark datasets. According to the result analysis, the suggested technique can outperform its equivalents for a range of data sets by about 32%. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

The emergence of 5 G and 6 G networks promises significant advancements in the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) by enabling real-time medical data transmission and continuous connectivity for mobile healthcare devices. However, traditional Handover (HO) mechanisms face latency, security, energy consumption, and scalability challenges when supporting fast-moving and dense IoMT environments. This paper presents a secure and fast mobility handover scheme for IoMT in 5 G and future 6 G networks, incorporating a predictive algorithm, Blockchain-Based (BC-B) decentralized authentication mechanism, and AI-driven anomaly detection. The predictive algorithm anticipates device movement and pre-allocates resources at the target Base Station (BS), reducing HO latency by 20–30 % in 5 G and up to 40 % in 6 G. Meanwhile, blockchain-based authentication ensures tamper-proof and decentralized security, reducing vulnerability to cyberattacks by 90 % compared to traditional methods. Additionally, the energy consumption during HO events is reduced by 20–35 %, dropping from 15 mJ in traditional schemes to 12 mJ in 5 G and further to 10 mJ in 6 G. The scheme also incorporates AI-driven anomaly detection, achieving an accuracy of 96.7 %, ensuring proactive identification and mitigation of potential security threats. The analyzed scheme maintains consistent throughput with less than 5 % reduction and scales effectively for up to 300 devices per cell. The simulation results demonstrate significant improvements across key performance metrics, including latency, security, energy efficiency, and scalability, making this approach highly suitable for critical IoMT applications such as telesurgery, remote patient monitoring, and innovative healthcare environments. These advancements position the analyzed framework as a cornerstone for next-generation (NG) healthcare networks. © 2025 The Authors

In recent years,cryptocurrency has become gradually more significant in economic regions *** cryptocurrencies,records are stored using a cryptographic *** main aim of this research was to develop an optimal solution for predicting the price of cryptocurrencies based on user opinions from social *** is used as a marketing tool for cryptoanalysis owing to the unrestricted conversations on cryptocurrencies that take place on social media ***,this work focuses on extracting Tweets and gathering data from different sources to classify them into positive,negative,and neutral categories,and further examining the correlations between cryptocurrency movements and Tweet *** paper proposes an optimized method using a deep learning algorithm and convolution neural network for cryptocurrency prediction;this method is used to predict the prices of four cryptocurrencies,namely,Litecoin,Monero,Bitcoin,and *** results of analyses demonstrate that the proposed method forecasts prices with a high accuracy of about 98.75%.The method is validated by comparison with existing methods using visualization tools.

IoT plays a crucial role in transforming the agricultural industry by offering diverse use cases starting from crop monitoring and precision farming to yield optimization. The fundamental reason why the agricultural community benefits immensely from IoT is due to its capacity to gather real-time data straight from their fields. Farming requires considerable attention, and wireless sensor networks enable farmers to deploy IoT devices throughout various parts of their farm so they can obtain information on soil moisture levels, temperature, humidity, among other essential parameters that are integral for effective agriculture management. This gathered data empowers farmers with accurate weather forecasts through machine learning techniques which assist them in making informed decisions related to planting or harvesting of crops - vital components critical for successful outcomes towards better yields. Moreover, middleware architectures/APIs developed specifically for IOT-based red onion farming utilize cloud computing services wherein these enlightening patterns generated get stored safely using analytics tools & automated systems. These intensify insights derived as it simplifies accessing important metrics aiding ease while analyzing historical trends advantageously helping make prudent future course corrective measures concerning planting/harvesting schedules based entirely on solid empirical evidence combined with artificial intelligence ensuring unprecedented efficiency gains and higher returns than previously achievable without technology guidance. © 2023 IEEE.

This research focuses on image classification, grouping images based on shared characteristics. The study aims to identify the highest-potential category within various fields, from high to low potential. By understanding existing potential, researchers can inform targeted strategies for future development. The methodology combines Logistic Regression in Orange Data Mining to enhance classification accuracy. Hierarchical Clustering is used to analyze 7,777 image results. Findings reveal that Tourism (C3) has the most potential, followed by Culinary (C2) and Culture (C4), while Handcrafts (C1) exhibit the least potential. This article is devoted to the research and development of innovative two-factor authentication (2FA) methods using neural networks. 2FA plays a key role in ensuring the security of data and accounts in the modern digital world, and the use of neural networks opens up new prospects in strengthening protection and improving the user experience. The article presents an analysis of existing 2FA methods, identifies their limitations, and discusses the advantages of using neural networks in this area. The main focus is on the development of new authentication algorithms based on deep learning, providing effective anomaly detection and support for a dynamic adaptive approach. The constant development of dense neural models leads to improved search quality. It is crucial to adapt these models to meet performance requirements. Solutions like SPLADE or SparseEmbed address this by solving the ranking task, whereas our work proposes addressing the simplified task of sparsifying dense vector representations. This approach facilitates the faster adaptation of new dense models for use with efficient inverted indexes. The importance of the independence property for sparse space features, achieved through the use of iVAE, is demonstrated. Additionally, the model is trained to maintain the ranking properties of the dense model, which in our case was a BERT model. As a result, the obtained model showed search quality close to the original BERT model. The proposed sparsification approach can be applied to other tasks requiring sparse spaces by adding new or replacing existing properties of the sparse space. Thus, the paper describes the main aspects of a sparsifier model applied to the task of information retrieval.
