IEEE 802.11 Wi-Fi networks are prone to many denial of service(DoS)attacks due to vulnerabilities at the media access control(MAC)layer of the 802.11 *** to the data transmission nature of the wireless local area network(WLAN)through radio waves,its communication is exposed to the possibility of being attacked by illegitimate ***,the security design of the wireless structure is vulnerable to versatile *** example,the attacker can imitate genuine features,rendering classificationbased methods inaccurate in differentiating between real and false *** security standards have been proposed over the last decades to overcome many wireless network attacks,effectively detecting such attacks is crucial in today’s real-world *** paper presents a novel resource exhaustion attack detection scheme(READS)to detect resource exhaustion attacks *** proposed scheme can differentiate between the genuine and fake management frames in the early stages of the attack such that access points can effectively mitigate the consequences of the *** scheme is built through learning from clustered samples using artificial neural networks to identify the genuine and rogue resource exhaustion management frames effectively and efficiently in *** proposed scheme consists of four modules whichmake it capable to alleviates the attack impact more effectively than the related *** experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed technique by gaining an 89.11%improvement compared to the existing works in terms of detection.

Parkinson's disease ranks as the second most prevalent neurodegenerative disorder globally. This research aims to develop a system leveraging Mixed Reality capabilities for tracking and assessing eye movements. In this paper, we present a medical scenario and outline the development of an application designed to capture eye-tracking signals through Mixed Reality technology for the evaluation of neurodegenerative diseases. Additionally, we introduce a pipeline for extracting clinically relevant features from eye-gaze analysis, describing the capabilities of the proposed system from a medical perspective. The study involved a cohort of healthy control individuals and patients suffering from Parkinson's disease, showcasing the feasibility and potential of the proposed technology for non-intrusive monitoring of eye movement patterns for the diagnosis of neurodegenerative *** relevance - Developing a non-invasive biomarker for Parkinson' s disease is urgently needed to accurately detect the disease's onset. This would allow for the timely introduction of neuroprotective treatment at the earliest stage and enable the continuous monitoring of intervention outcomes. The ability to detect subtle changes in eye movements allows for early diagnosis, offering a critical window for intervention before more pronounced symptoms emerge. Eye tracking provides objective and quantifiable biomarkers, ensuring reliable assessments of disease progression and cognitive function. The eye gaze analysis using Mixed Reality glasses is wireless, facilitating convenient assessments in both home and hospital settings. American Sign Language (ASL) recognition aims to recognize hand gestures, and it is a crucial solution to communicating between the deaf community and hearing people. However, existing sign language recognition algorithms still have some drawbacks, such as difficulty recognizing hand movements and low recognition accuracy for most sign language recognition. A Modified Convolutional Neural Network (MCNN) deep residual 101 classifier-based American Sign Language identification system has been developed to address this problem. There are three main parts presents in the method. The first part is pre-processing the images to remove the noise, enhance the contrast of the picture, adjust the contrast level and smoothen the picture using various filters. The second part is the segmentation, and it’s used to partition the image using a modified canny edge detection method by removing all weak edges present in the image. Finally, classification will be done using the Modified CNN deep residual 101 classifiers. By classifying the image, the American Sign Language is accurately identified. This process is conducted through images. The outcome shows that the suggested approach has a 0.97% accuracy and a 0.05% False Positive Rate. Other CNN architectures such as resNet 50 and resNet 18 reached 0.90% and 0.80% accuracy, respectively, which is lower than our proposed method. In addition, the resNet 101 classifier effectively recognizes the difficult hand gestures through the image data. It obtains high recognition accuracy for 36 signs is 0 to 9 numbers and a to z alphabets from American Sign Language. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2025.

In this paper we propose an improved recipe recommendation system that employs image recognition of food ingredients. The system is currently a mobile application that performs image recognition on uploaded or camera-captured images and recommends recipes containing the recognized ingredients. We used the ResNet-V2 architecture to build a convolutional neural network model for image recognition, which was able to identify 33 different food ingredients with an accuracy rate of 89%. The recommendation system uses the identified ingredient labels, as well as user preferences and restrictions, to display a list of recipes containing the identified ingredients. This feature allows users to discover new and exciting recipes based on the ingredients they currently have at home, without having to worry about dietary restrictions or other preferences. Overall, our system provides a convenient and personalized way for users to discover and prepare delicious meals based on their unique needs and preferences.

This paper explores the integration of incremental curriculum learning (ICL) with deep reinforcement learning (DRL) techniques to facilitate mobile robot navigation through task-based human instruction. By adopting a curriculum that mirrors the progressive complexity encountered in human learning, our approach systematically enhances robots’ ability to interpret and execute complex instructions. We explore the principles of DRL and its synergy with ICL, demonstrating how this combination not only improves training efficiency but also equips mobile robots with the generalization capability required for navigating through dynamic indoor environments. Empirical results indicate that robots trained with our ICL-enhanced DRL framework outperform those trained without curriculum learning, highlighting the benefits of structured learning progressions in robotic training.

The development of chatbots utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) techniques represents a significant advancement in Natural Language Processing (NLP). Numerous studies employ deep learning and NLP methodologies to construct sophisticated chatbot systems. Additionally, developers and companies often utilize APIs provided by intent recognition services like Dialogflow and Amazon Lex to easily create chatbots using graphical forms, which enhance chatbot functionality. However, these APIs have limitations, such as potential dependency on specific NLP service providers and associated high costs. To address these limitations, the proposed work addresses critical gaps in chatbot development tools by constructing a Domain-Specific Language (DSL) for chatbot development. This DSL aims to simplify the chatbot development process and reduce costs. Specifically, the paper introduces a graphical DSL designed to accelerate chatbot development. We use code generation templates to easily generate the source code for chatbots of the Rasa framework, simplifying the development process and reducing the time spent on manual coding.

Social media is a crucial aspect of modern society, shaping global communication and information exchange. Social media slang encompasses informal language expressions, abbreviations, and unconventional words on these platforms, serving purposes such as concise communication and identity establishment. Data analytics from social media slang plays a vital role in providing real-time trends, enhancing sentiment analysis, and improving the accuracy of predictive models by capturing evolving linguistic trends. This study aims to address gaps in existing social media slang analytics by proposing a three-step process for extracting and validating domain-specific social media slang terms, specifically focusing on the domain of anxiety prediction in the context of mental health. The proposed approach involves the identification of relevant users, extraction of social media slang terms, and validation by subject matter experts. A pilot study is conducted in the domain of anxiety prediction, employing a self-prepared questionnaire and involving participants aged 13-14 from schools in Selangor, Malaysia. The pilot study identifies ten social media slang terms associated with anxiety, validated by subject matter experts who are licensed mental health practitioners. The slang terms exhibit varying prevalence levels among adolescents, with some terms absent from popular slang dictionaries like Urban Dictionary. The findings highlight the need for extracting slang terms from pertinent users and subject matter expert validation in incorporating social media slang into more appropriate predictive analytics. © 2024 IEEE.
