We present a continuous reciprocal-kind Zhang dynamics (RKZD) model for solving the time-dependent linear matrixvector equation. On the basis of the model, we deduce its simplified form for solving the time-independent linear matrix-vector equation (TILMVE). Subsequently, for more efficient computation and easier implementation in digital hardware, we utilize Euler forward difference formula (EFDF) to discretize the continuous RKZD model, resulting in a discrete RKZD algorithm. Finally, numerical experimental results attest to the feasibility and high effectiveness of the discrete RKZD algorithm for solving TILMVE. Comparisons with the discrete gradient neural network (or termed discrete gradient dynamics), Jacobi iteration, as well as Gauss-Seidel iteration highlight the superior convergence properties of the discrete RKZD algorithm. © 2023 Technical Committee on Control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

The rapid growth in data generation and increased use of computer network devices has amplified the infrastructures of *** interconnectivity of networks has brought various complexities in maintaining network availability,consistency,and *** learning based intrusion detection systems have become essential to monitor network traffic for malicious and illicit *** intrusion detection system controls the flow of network traffic with the help of computer *** deep learning algorithms in intrusion detection systems have played a prominent role in identifying and analyzing intrusions in network *** this purpose,when the network traffic encounters known or unknown intrusions in the network,a machine-learning framework is needed to identify and/or verify network *** Intrusion detection scheme empowered with a fused machine learning technique(IDS-FMLT)is proposed to detect intrusion in a heterogeneous network that consists of different source networks and to protect the network from malicious *** proposed IDS-FMLT system model obtained 95.18%validation accuracy and a 4.82%miss rate in intrusion detection.

Distributed Denial of services (DDoS) attack is one of the most dangerous attacks that targeted servers. The main consequence of this attack is to prevent users from getting their legitimate services by bringing down targeted victim. CICFlowMeter tool generates bi-directional flows from packets. Each flow generates 83 of different features. The research focuses on 8 features which are active min (f1), active mean (f2), active max (f3), active std (f4), idle min (f5), idle mean (f6), idle max (f7), and idle std (f8). CICFlowMeter tool has several problems that affected on the detection accuracy of DDoS attacks. The idle and active based feature of Shannon entropy and sequential probability ratio test (SE-SPRT) approach was implemented in this research. The problems of original CICFlowMeter were presented, and the differences between original and revised version of CICFlowMeter tool were explored. The DARPA database and confusion matrix were used to evaluate the detection technique and present the comparison between two versions of CICFlowMeter. The detection method detected neptune and smurf attacks and had higher accuracy, f1-score, sensitivity, specificity, and precision when revised version of CICFlowMeter used to generate flows. However, the detection method failed to detect neptune attack and had higher miss-rate, lower accuracy, lower f1-score, and lower specificity, and lower precision when original version used in generating flows. © 2022 IEEE.

Surface sampling is a powerful technique used in computer graphics and visualization to gather data from 3D surfaces. Surface sampling is a process of collecting visual and tactile information from real world surfaces to serve as references for artistic creations. It allows artists to study and analyze the intricate details of surfaces, such as the roughness of tree bark, the smoothness of a pebble, or the subtle variations in fabric patterns. By examining surfaces up close, artists gain insights into the nuances that make each surface visually and texturally distinct. The solution we've developed operates seamlessly on both desktop and mobile devices, utilizing the functionalities of widely used web browsers. It eliminates the need for any software installations. Our achievement is founded on fully open-source solutions, allowing users to explore 3D models without any barriers. © 2023 IEEE.

Rainfall plays a significant role in managing the water level in the *** unpredictable amount of rainfall due to the climate change can cause either overflow or dry in the *** individuals,especially those in the agricultural sector,rely on rain *** rainfall is challenging because of the changing nature of the *** area of Jimma in southwest Oromia,Ethiopia is the subject of this research,which aims to develop a rainfall forecasting *** estimate Jimma's daily rainfall,we propose a novel approach based on optimizing the parameters of long short-term memory(LSTM)using Al-Biruni earth radius(BER)optimization algorithm for boosting the fore-casting accuracy.N ash-Sutcliffe model eficiency(NSE),mean square error(MSE),root MSE(RMSE),mean absolute error(MAE),and R2 were all used in the conducted experiments to assess the proposed approach,with final scores of(0.61),(430.81),(19.12),and(11.09),***,we compared the proposed model to current machine-learning regression models;such as non-optimized LSTM,bidirectional LSTM(BiLSTM),gated recurrent unit(GRU),and convolutional LSTM(ConvLSTM).It was found that the proposed approach achieved the lowest RMSE of(19.12).In addition,the experimental results show that the proposed model has R-with a value outperforming the other models,which confirms the superiority of the proposed *** the other hand,a statistical analysis is performed to measure the significance and stability of the proposed approach and the recorded results proved the expected perfomance.

A two-untrusted-relay transmission scheme is proposed with lossy-forward (LF) relaying being utilized. Two untrusted relays are located between one source and one common destination and there is no direct link between the source and the destination, which referred to as diamond relaying network. Since LF relaying allows intra-link errors and always forwards the decoded information sequences from the relays to the destination, it realizes the reliable and secure transmission of decoder-and-forward based relay networks with untrusted relays. Reliable-and-secure probability is derived to evaluate the performance of the untrusted relay networks, which represents the probability that the destination can recover the original message sent from the source whereas the relays cannot. We find that as long as the contributions of the transmit power of source and relays are balanced, a certain degree of reliable-and-secure probability can be held, even without the support from a friendly jamming signal. © 2022 IEEE.

Natural Language Processing (NLP) with Deep Learning (DL) for Tweets Classification includes use of advanced neural network designs to analyse and classify Twitter messages. DL techniques like recurrent neural network (RNN) or transformer-based frameworks like BERT are used to mechanically learn difficult linguistic patterns and contextual info from tweet data. These techniques able to capture subtleties of language with sarcasm, sentiment, and context-specific meanings and making them suitable for tasks like sentiment analysis or topic classification in realm of social media. Leveraging deep symbols learned from great amounts of textual data, these NLP techniques permit precise and nuanced classification of tweets, donating to enhanced information retrieval, sentiment tracking, and trend analysis in dynamic and fast-paced world of social media communication. In this view, this research develops an arithmetic optimization algorithm with deep learning based tweets classification (AOADL-TC) approach for sustainable living. The goal of the AOADL-TC technique is to identify and discriminate different kinds of sentiments that exist in the tweet data. At the initial stage, the AOADL-TC model pre-processes tweet data to convert uniform data into a useful format. For sentiment detection, the AOADL-TC technique applies a parallel bidirectional gated recurrent unit (BiGRU) model. At last, tuning of parameters related to parallel BiGRU model performed by AOA. An wide set of tests carried out to illustrate better performance of AOADL-TC model. The experimental outcomes portrayed that AOADL-TC technique demonstrates the supremacy of the AOADL-TC technique in terms of different evaluation metrics. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Q-switched triple-wavelength erbium-doped fiber laser with black phosphorus absorber

We achieved a notable advance in laser technology by generating a triple-wavelength output in a Q-switched Erbium-doped fiber laser (EDFL) using a new black phosphorous saturable absorber (BPSA). The BPSA was made by exfoliating multilayer BP material from a bulk crystal and transferring it onto a fiber ferrule tip. Upon integration into an EDFL ring cavity, this BPSA facilitated the production of Q-switched pulses at wavelengths of 1530.4, 1531.5, and 1532.6 nm. This distinctive triple-wavelength lasing phenomenon, characterized by uniform spacing, arises from standing wave interference within the ring cavity, leveraging the highly nonlinear active gain medium. With an increase in pumping strength from 147 mW to 223 mW, the repetition rate escalated from 41.15 to 60.83 kHz, accompanied by a reduction in pulse width from 8.45 µs to 6.06 µs. Notably, the highest recorded pulse energy peaked at 11.8 nJ. These findings highlight the efficacy of BP as a Q-switcher for the generation of multi-wavelength pulses, marking a significant advancement in laser technology. © 2024 Elsevier GmbH

In modern era where software development is of vital importance, software developers are challenged with conditions like Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) which hinders their ability to work effectively. Furthermore, people with difficulties with using their hands also find it challenging to program in the traditional manner. As a solution, coding with one's voice has been experimented with, but current solutions lack interactivity and are harder to use and setup leaving much room for improvement in this domain. In this research work, by using input classifier models with accuracies over 90%, intent classifiers with accuracies over 70%, code parsing and various human computer interaction techniques, we developed a conversationally interactive, programming language agnostic, easy to setup and easy to use Voice Coding Assistant. This will potentially help a global audience of programmers to achieve their goals and improve productivity and lead a healthier life. We have named the system thus developed, "Venic". © 2022 IEEE.

Entity Alignment is the task of seeking entities with the same semantics from distinct knowledge graphs (KGs). Researchers have recently proposed Graph Convolutional Network (GCN) based approaches to achieve this task. Most existing GCN-based methods embed all the relations into an identical value, making the underlying loss on the diversity of the relationship. Relation semantics of entities and relation structure have benefitted the entity alignment task in the monolingual scenarios. This paper proposes a Relation-Aware Graph Convolutional Network with a Differential Adjacency Matrix (A-REA), which exploits the relation-specific semantics and structural information of entities in the KGs to promote the entity representations. The experiments on DBP-15K and DWY-100K datasets, including three cross-lingual subsets and two cross-knowledge graph sub-datasets, reveal that our approach leads to advance in entity alignment task in both the cross-lingual and cross-knowledge KGs. Discriminating the relation shows the effective signal for entity alignment, especially for the schema heterogeneity of different KGs. © 2023 IEEE.
