Software maintenance is the process of fixing,modifying,and improving software deliverables after they are delivered to the *** can benefit from offshore software maintenance outsourcing(OSMO)in different ways,including time savings,cost savings,and improving the software quality and *** of the hardest challenges for the OSMO vendor is to choose a suitable project among several clients’*** goal of the current study is to recommend a machine learning-based decision support system that OSMO vendors can utilize to forecast or assess the project of OSMO *** projects belong to OSMO vendors,having offices in developing countries while providing services to developed *** the current study,Extreme Learning Machine’s(ELM’s)variant called Deep Extreme Learning Machines(DELMs)is used.A novel dataset consisting of 195 projects data is proposed to train the model and to evaluate the overall efficiency of the proposed *** proposed DELM’s based model evaluations achieved 90.017%training accuracy having a value with 1.412×10^(-3) Root Mean Square Error(RMSE)and 85.772%testing accuracy with 1.569×10^(-3) RMSE with five DELMs hidden *** results express that the suggested model has gained a notable recognition rate in comparison to any previous *** current study also concludes DELMs as the most applicable and useful technique for OSMO client’s project assessment.

Adopting the CloudIoT-based healthcare paradigm provides various prospects for medical IT and considerably enhances healthcare services. However, compared to the advanced development of CloudIoT-based healthcare systems, their usage is relatively low among healthcare professionals in hospitals. Thus, a study on the healthcare professionals acceptance and adoption of CloudIoT-based healthcare is critical. This study explores factors influencing healthcare professionals adoption of CloudIoT-based healthcare solutions by extending the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 model. Data was collected from 300 healthcare professionals in Jordan through an online questionnaire developed using the Google^® form application. The Bayesian Network and Structural Equation Modeling techniques were used to analyze and validate the proposed model. The results revealed that the healthcare professional’s behavioral intention is directly affected by seven factors: performance expectancy, effort expectancy, facilitating conditions, habit, trust, privacy, and security. The results also indicate that trust mediates the influence of privacy, facilitating conditions, and performance expectancy on behavioral intention. The research results will aid CloudIoT service providers, healthcare organizations, designers, and developers by offering comprehensive knowledge of the significant factors of CloudIoT-based healthcare adoption. A better understanding of these factors will help these stakeholder groups enhance their services and speed up the adoption of CloudIoT in the healthcare area. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of computer Applications and Management 2024.

Assessing and prioritizing crucial drivers for CloudIoT-based healthcare adoption: an analytic hierarchy process approach

The CloudIoT paradigm has profoundly transformed the healthcare industry, providing outstanding innovation and practical applications. However, despite its many advantages, the adoption of this paradigm in healthcare settings remains limited. There is a lack of comprehensive understanding of the factors that ensure successful implementation. To address this issue, we have used the Analytic Hierarchy Process to prioritize 26 factors that could potentially influence the adoption of CloudIoT-based healthcare. These factors were derived from existing literature and categorized into four main groups: personal-specific, technology-specific, environment-specific, and organization-specific factors. Our findings revealed that performance expectancy, trust, facilitating conditions, task complexity, and perceived security are the top five critical factors influencing CloudIoT-based healthcare adoption. Interestingly, our results indicated that environmental factors were less influential than those in the other categories, with personal, technological, and organizational factors dominating the top ten significant factors. The insights from this study can help policymakers, CloudIoT service providers, healthcare providers, designers, and developers better understand the factors contributing to the successful implementation of CloudIoT-based healthcare. A large number of areas of application of geographic information systems (GIS) involves the continuous accumulation data. The need to record the state of an observed object or phenomenon generates an intense flow of heterogeneous data over long-time intervals. The period of storage of the received information in many cases is not limited and is limited solely technical capabilities of archiving information. For this reason, GIS databases correspond to modern ideas about big data (big data), since they have a significant volume that is constantly growing, are heterogeneous in presentation formats, and have a value determined by a reliable display of objects, phenomena and events of the real world. A new model of representation of the analysis workspace by two informational components, skeleton and environment, is proposed. The skeleton is formed by deterministic queries to the GIS database, the environment is built by intelligent procedures as a shell of the skeleton. The difference of the proposed concept is the use of a utility function, the parameters of which are the complexity of the skeleton and the environment. The application of the proposed concept allows optimizing the quality of decision-making by maximizing the utility function of the workspace. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

M2auth: A multimodal behavioral biometric authentication using feature-level fusion

Conventional authentication methods, such as passwords and PINs, are vulnerable to multiple threats, from sophisticated hacking attempts to the inherent weaknesses of human memory. This highlights a critical need for a more secure, convenient, and user-friendly approach to authentication. This paper introduces M2auth, a novel multimodal behavioral biometric authentication framework for smartphones. M2auth leverages a combination of multiple authentication modalities, including touch gestures, keystrokes, and accelerometer data, with a focus on capturing high-quality, intervention-free data. To validate the efficacy of M2auth, we conducted a large-scale field study involving 52 participants over two months, collecting data from touch gestures, keystrokes, and smartphone sensors. The resulting dataset, comprising over 5.5 million action points, serves as a valuable resource for behavioral biometric research. Our evaluation involved two fusion scenarios, feature-level fusion and decision-level fusion, that play a pivotal role in elevating authentication performance. These fusion approaches effectively mitigate challenges associated with noise and variability in behavioral data, enhancing the robustness of the system. We found that the decision-level fusion outperforms the feature level, reaching a 99.98% authentication success rate and an EER reduced to 0.84%, highlighting the robustness of M2auth in real-world scenarios. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2024.

Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) is one of the most grievous vulnerabilities-a pitfall through which web applications are affected. These types of attacks are complex, and the available threat landscape is always changing, making it hard for conventional security tools to effectively detect or prevent these types of attacks. We present here an approach that detects and prevents XSS attacks on Web pages. Since Neutrosophism works with different kinds of data, it aims at the validity degree of the attack. This way the system understands the different types of attacks and allows the system to act more effectively. Our system combines (1) static analysis-to look into the code behind the website-with (2) dynamic analysis-to watch the website in action. Various organizations store data online rather than on physical *** the number of user’s data stored in cloud servers increases,the attack rate to access data from cloud servers also *** researchers worked on different algorithms to protect cloud data from replay *** of the papers used a technique that simultaneously detects a full-message and partial-message replay *** study presents the development of a TKN(Text,Key and Name)cryptographic algorithm aimed at protecting data from replay *** program employs distinct ways to encrypt plain text[P],a user-defined Key[K],and a Secret Code[N].The novelty of the TKN cryptographic algorithm is that the bit value of each text is linked to another value with the help of the proposed algorithm,and the length of the cipher text obtained is twice the length of the original *** the scenario that an attacker executes a replay attack on the cloud server,engages in cryptanalysis,or manipulates any data,it will result in automated modification of all associated values inside the *** mechanism has the benefit of enhancing the detectability of replay ***,the attacker cannot access data not included in any of the papers,regardless of how effective the attack strategy *** the end of paper,the proposed algorithm’s novelty will be compared with different algorithms,and it will be discussed how far the proposed algorithm is better than all other algorithms.

The utilization of Data-Driven Machine Learning (DDML) models in the healthcare sector poses unique challenges due to the crucial nature of clinical decision-making and its impact on patient outcomes. A primary concern in this domain is the data quality that forms the basis for these models, which is essential for their effectiveness. While numerous studies are dedicated to leveraging Machine Learning (ML) to enhance patient care, a substantial gap exists in understanding and evaluating the quality of training data before training ML models. This issue is exacerbated by the lack of well-defined standards to ensure that data characteristics align with the specific goals of ML in healthcare. To address this, our study introduces a conceptual three-dimensional framework focusing on data accuracy, completeness, and consistency aimed at assessing and improving the quality of training data. This framework is designed to enhance the performance, predictability, and interpretability of healthcare-specific ML models and reduce biases, thus bridging current research gaps and laying the groundwork for future developments in ML-driven healthcare systems. This paper presents the initial step for our proposed Data Quality Framework (DQF), which addresses the three dimensions mentioned above. It discusses its potential implications and applications in healthcare data, and its main goal is to provide a comprehensive overview of the proposed DQF, illustrating its significance in advancing healthcare data quality and ultimately improving patient outcomes. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Water potability classification based on hybrid stacked model and feature selection

Clean water requires accurate water quality categorization. A water potability (WP) dataset with pH, hardness, solids, chloramines, sulfate, conductivity, and other metrics for 3276 water bodies was used in this paper. After median imputation for missing values, normalization for feature scaling, and class imbalance correction using SMOTE, the Kaggle public dataset was prepared. With binary particle swarm optimization (BPSO) and binary whale optimization algorithm (BWAO), feature selection (FS) was used to determine the most important features for classification. A subset of seven essential characteristics is selected with the lowest average error of 0.3745 by the BPSO. Random forest (RF), gradient boosting (GB), support vector machine (SVM), Extra Tree (ET), decision tree (DT), and XGBoost are tested for WP prediction. The ET classifier ranked first, with 70.63% accuracy and 71.17% F1-score. Predictive performance was improved by stacking random forest, extra trees, and XGBoost base learners with Logistic Regression meta-learner. The stacking model improved with 69.53% accuracy, 70.23% F1-score, and 77.62% AUC. We found that stacking uses high-performing models to create a strong and balanced categorization framework. This paper shows that ensemble learning can improve WP categorization and that stacking may be a feasible way for measuring and managing water quality. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2025.

CNN-Based Multi-Output and Multi-Task Regression for Supershape Reconstruction from 3D Point Clouds

In a number of industries, including computer graphics, robotics, and medical imaging, three-dimensional reconstruction is essential. In this research, a CNN-based Multi-output and Multi-Task Regressor with deep learning capabilities is proposed for three-dimensional object reconstruction from 3D point cloud. Our approach is grounded in the original Point Net architecture, which addresses the difficulties associated with convolution when applied to point clouds. Firstly, this paper is modified using a Multi-Output Regressor to accurately recreate Super forms from 3D point clouds. Using this method, we first extract features from the 3D point cloud using Point Net. After that, a Multi-Output Regressor receives these data and uses them to anticipate the Super shape parameters needed to reconstruct the shape. Taking in the data, the Multi-Output Regressor retrieved characteristics from Point Net and simultaneously predicts several outcomes. Second, a Multi-Task Regressor is used to modify the Point Net. The network gains from the capacity to transfer knowledge from one task to another, improving the model's overall performance. The model would forecast the ten parameters needed to create the shape in the case of rebuilding Super shapes. The test findings were better than expected;they are intriguing in terms of prediction accuracy and cost, and they update the result by 80%, which is a good accomplishment for the study. © 2025 Slovene Society Informatika.
