Water is vital for all life, serving as the foundation for plants and aquatic creatures and promoting abundance among all living beings. This study introduces an innovative approach by combining the Internet of Things (IoT) with advanced sensing techniques to assess water quality. The IoT-powered water quality testing raft has been developed to significantly enhance the monitoring capabilities. Equipped with sensors measuring key parameters such as turbidity, pH, and temperature, the raft provides a comprehensive understanding of water quality. Its GPS module enables real-time tracking and maintains location history, ensuring precise sampling. The collected data undergoes robust processing by a Raspberry Pi, ensuring integrity before being showcased on the Thingsboard. The system's uniqueness lies in its capacity to promptly issue alerts via LINE Notify upon detecting water quality abnormalities, ensuring timely intervention. This IoT-powered raft represents a paradigm shift in water quality assessment, characterised by its precision, remote capabilities, and user-focused approach. Practical applications have been demonstrated through real-world testing in a private lake in Cha-choengsao province, Thailand. The seamless integration of IoT into environmental monitoring marks a significant advancement in ensuring water quality and ecosystem health. © 2024 IEEE.

Addressing data imbalance is a critical difficulty in the setting of a heavily skewed dataset because the dominant class disproportionately influences classifier accuracy, especially when inadequate data impede the learning of minority class characteristics. For multi-class cases, traditional binary classification approaches are inadequate. The suggested architecture uses a Weighted Majority Voting Classifier (WMVC), noise cleaning, limited under-sampling, and oversampling to overcome this. One important step is to set an average class size limit by dividing the entire sample number by the number of classes. One or more majority classes receive Random Under sampling, all minority classes receive an up sample using the Adaptive Synthetic Sampling Approach, and noise reduction is achieved via Tomek Link. The resulting WMVC is contrasted with Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) classifiers, XGBoost, and six additional ensemble techniques by utilizing tree-based ensemble algorithms. Comparative study shows that balanced data performs better than unbalanced data. WMVC significantly beats CNN, XGBoost, and the other ensemble methods, and it improves performance for difficult minority classes while successfully decreasing classifier bias towards the majority class. © 2024 IEEE.

The electromagnetic vector sensor (EMVS) embedded multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar is an emerging technology capable of two-dimensional (2D) direction of arrival (DOA) estimation. In this paper, we propose a low-complexity algorithm for monostatic uniform linear array (ULA) EMVS-MIMO radar to rapidly estimate 2D-DOA. First, we decompose the received signal into a third-order tensor using parallel factor analysis (PARAFAC). Next, we eliminate data redundancy through a reduced complexity (RC) process. Then, we use the least squares method to extract ambiguous elevation angle information from the spatial response matrix and apply the vector cross-product (VCP) technique to the electromagnetic vector to achieve unambiguous 2D-DOA estimation. Finally, we combine these estimates to achieve high-resolution, unambiguous elevation angle estimation. The proposed algorithm is suitable for large-scale and sparse EMVS-MIMO radar systems. © 2001-2012 IEEE.

All digital information exchange is not free from security threats in terms of information exchange, so a technique or method is needed to make message exchange in today's all-digital era safer. Therefore, this research is expected to become a security reference solution in message exchange by applying a cryptographic algorithm using the Multi Prime RSA and XRSA Algorithms which are believed to be able to secure messages with large prime numbers and also to test whether these two algorithms can secure a message. Factorization will be carried out using the Pollard p-1 algorithm. The results of this research show that the larger the prime number, the greater of modulus and greater character, the time results obtained will increase quite significant 1,3 milliseconds of bits. From this results more time will be used and in security testing the results show that it takes a long time to be able to factorize the prime number from the two algorithms. © 2024 IEEE.

Public health is seriously threatened by air pollution. Systems for early warning are crucial for preventing its negative impacts on humans. But predicting air quality is difficult because it needs precise data from time series gathered at air monitoring sites. Due to things like measurement mistakes, this data may be ambiguous. Using fuzzy symmetry triangular fuzzy numbers, we suggest a strategy in this study for preparing data that contains uncertain information. Linear programming is utilized to obtain the midpoint value for defuzzification. The fuzzy pre-processed data is then used to build a predictive model using ARIMA. Our findings imply that the linear program can greatly lower prediction errors, resulting in more precise predictions. © 2023 IEEE.

Schizophrenia is a chronic mental disorder with distorted thinking, hallucinations, and social difficulties. Early diagnosis is vital, but current methods are limited. This research proposes a web-based application integrating machine learning, emotion recognition, and game-based elements to track symptoms and aid in early diagnosis. Interactive exercises focus on specific symptoms like cognitive evaluation, emotional analysis, and memory assessment. By combining computer science, psychology, and machine learning, the project aims to improve early detection and ultimately enhance the quality of life for affected individuals. Key components include using Deep Convolutional Neural Network (DCNN) architecture for recognizing facial and physical expressions associated with schizophrenia with an 87% accuracy rate, and utilizing Vector Regressor (SVR) with a 93% accuracy rate, along with Vision Transformer (ViT) and Custom CNN models for cognitive assessment, achieving accuracy rates of 99% and 98%, respectively. © 2024 IEEE.

Different WGM resonator geometries and materials can be used to tailor WGM resonators for specific applications. WGM resonators can reach ultra-high quality factors that lead to enhanced light-matter interaction. Additionally, the surface of a WGM resonator can be functionalized with a nanomaterial layer to enhance desirable optical properties, tailoring it further - from sensitivity to any perturbations of the surrounding environment to the generation of nonlinear effects at relatively low powers. Silica doped with erbium is widely used for optical amplification while metal nanoparticles act like nano-antennas and increase sensitivity to surrounding media. Doping silica microspheres with erbium ions, we have observed lasing at 1530 - 1560 nm at a threshold of 2 dBm (1.6 mW) when pumping with 1470 - 1500 nm. Lasing was also observed when additionally functionalizing the sphere surface with gold nanoparticles. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

As the number of players in Massively Multiplayer Online Games (MMOG) increases, the complexity of game missions requires players to work in teams to accomplish game objectives. If players lack expertise in collaboration, they may have difficulty integrating into the game team, which may further erode their loyalty to the MMOG. However, little is known about how game cooperation affects players’ loyalty to MMOG, suggesting that there is a dearth of research in this area. As a result of this mismatch, game developers are unable to allocate resources in ways that increase gamer loyalty. We propose a new framework for the study of team gamer loyalty. The results show that game team norm identification, team participation experience, and cooperative knowledge all contribute to team gamer loyalty. The study suggests that cooperative knowledge among players not only directly increases gamer loyalty, but also amplifies the effects of team participation experience and game team norms on loyalty, which is valuable information for game developers. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

This paper investigates the competitiveness of Yemeni universities affiliated with the Ministry of Higher Education and its impact on economic and social competitiveness, as well as the growth of human capital and the creation of social knowledge. The study utilized data from the information technology Center at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Yemen, as well as the 'AD SCIENTIFIC INDEX' world ranking dataset, to identify the most important indicators for ranking Yemeni universities. The research identified seven indicators for 78 Yemeni universities, both governmental and private, and used cluster analysis to reveal the best performers. The results showed that the University of Sana'a ranked first, followed by the University of Aden. The study recommends that Yemeni universities align their goals with the most important indicators based on international strategies and support scientific research through the support of scholars. The findings of this study can be used by Yemeni universities to improve their competitiveness and enhance their academic reputation. © 2023 IEEE.
