Cross-platform mobile application development frameworks are now widely used among software companies and developers. Despite their time and cost-effectiveness, they still lack the performance and experience of natively developed applications. Many research tools have been proposed to solve this problem by converting a natively developed application from one platform to another. The Trans-Compiler Based Android to iOS Converter (TCAIOSC) was proposed to convert the front-end and back-end code of Android Java applications to iOS applications. Since databases are essential for mobile applications, this paper proposes a new database code conversion model based on trans-compilation and pattern matching. It proposes a model that can be used to support database code conversion between native languages and platforms and applies the proposed model to support the conversion of Firebase Firestore database code from Android (Java) to iOS (Swift) using TCAIOSC. The enhanced tool’s results show high accuracy for the converted database code and a noticeable improvement in the overall conversion results for TCAIOSC. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Increasing satisfaction of customers is the most important goal for any institution. Therefore, customer relationship management (CRM) is founded for this purpose to keep track of the interaction between the organization and their customers to satisfy them and to guarantee their loyalty. In this paper, we introduce a layered architecture model for customer relationship management in Education domain. This model integrates educational domain ontology and service-oriented architecture to improve the business processes and hence to increase the customer satisfaction in the educational institutions. The model design is presented in detail for a huge Egyptian educational institution called the Education City. The paper presents a workflow design for customer relationship management describing the interaction among stakeholders to achieve the different business processes in the Education City. As well as, a detailed ontology design for the Education City is presented to describe and to visualize the different scenarios for the services provided by the Education City. To achieve flexibility and reusability, the model was built based on service-oriented architecture for the possibility of reusing the model in more than one field. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2023.

Due to a shortage of funding and other market challenges, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) face difficulties in adopting new technologies. Numerous technological obstacles negatively impact the long-term commercial achievement of SMEs. The deployment of Industry 4.0hopes to resolve these technological challenges. A sustainable city is a complex structure where economic, societal, and ecological components interact and compete. There is a scarcity of l methodologies for measuring interactions in this complex structure. Industry 4.0 aims to obtain higher performance effectiveness, profitability, and automation. The main goal is to develop a reliable method of evaluating small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) adopting Industry 4.0 technologies, particularly concerning smart city applications. This paper aims to determine the influence of Industry 4.0 in fostering economic efficiency and sustainability amongst these SMEs. The study introduces a multi-criteria decision-making (SC-MCDM) system designed to test an SME’s achievement of their targeted sustainable developmental goals. A technique for computing the interaction between various standards, i.e., (static interactions and dynamical pattern resemblance), as well as the weightage of variables of every indicator generated by the connection, is included within SC-MCDM. Furthermore, applying the suggested technique is validated by assessing the sustainable development goals of twelve Chinese cities within the Triple Bottom Line (TBL) paradigm. From a geographic-temporal viewpoint, spatial variations in city sustainability reveal regional sustainable inequalities. Indicator scores suggest that the most significant factors for most communities are the lack of research spending, falling financing in stationary assets, shortage of financial development, and inadequate shared transit. Anomaly detection in an unsupervised manner has become the go-To approach in applications where data labeling proves problematic. However, these approaches aren t completely unsupervised, since they rely on the weak knowledge of the dataset distribution into anomalous and anomaly-free subsets and typically require post-Training threshold calibration in order to perform anomaly detection. Yet, they do not take advantage of available positive samples during training. In contrast, fully supervised approaches have proven to be more accurate and more efficient, however, they require a sufficient number of anomalous images to be labeled on a per-pixel level, which represents a labour-intensive task. In this paper, we propose a new hybrid approach that utilizes the best of both worlds. We use an unsupervised approach to build a model for generating pseudo labels, followed by a supervised approach in order to robustify anomaly detection. Moreover, we extend this approach with an active learning schema, that results in learning with mixed supervision. We achieve several improvements, i.e., the utilization of available positive image samples, improved anomaly detection performance, and the retention of real-Time performance. The proposed approach yields results that are comparable to the fully supervised approach, and at the very least, reduces the number of required labeled anomalous samples. © 2023 SPIE. Due to the lack of effective mpox detection tools, the mpox virus continues to spread worldwide and has been once again declared a public health emergency of international concern by the World Health Organization. Lightweight deep learning model-based detection systems are crucial to alleviate mpox outbreaks since they are suitable for widespread deployment, especially in resource-limited scenarios. However, the key to its successful application depends on ensuring that the model can effectively model local features and long-range dependencies in mpox lesions while maintaining lightweight. Inspired by the success of Mamba in modeling long-range dependencies and its linear complexity, we proposed a lightweight hybrid architecture called MpoxMamba for efficient mpox detection. MpoxMamba utilizes depth-wise separable convolutions to extract local feature representations in mpox skin lesions and greatly enhances the model's ability to model the global contextual information by grouped Mamba modules. Notably, MpoxMamba's parameter size and FLOPs are 0.77M and 0.53G, respectively. Experimental results on two widely recognized benchmark datasets demonstrate that MpoxMamba outperforms state-of-the-art lightweight models and existing mpox detection methods. Importantly, we developed a web-based online application to provide free mpox detection. This study aims to classify brainwave patterns using electroencephalogram (EEG) signals in response to various auditory stimuli, specifically Quran recitation, participants' favorite music, and Interstellar's main theme. By analyzing the unique EEG responses elicited by these stimuli, the study explores cognitive and emotional processing differences. Two prominent classifiers, Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), were utilized. SVM, combined with Power Spectral Density (PSD) features, achieved the highest accuracy of 95% when distinguishing Quran recitation from rest. CNN, particularly with Kernel Density Estimation (KDE) features, exhibited strong performance in distinguishing between different auditory stimuli, with an average accuracy exceeding 90%. These results highlight the critical role of feature extraction techniques, such as PSD and KDE, in improving classification performance and deepening our understanding of EEG-based emotional and cognitive responses to auditory stimuli. © 2024 IEEE.

This study presents a comprehensive analysis of weighted bipartite networks, investigating their sensitivity to random weight variations, identifying critical links/nodes through zeroing-out experiments, and proposing multi-objective optimization models for network enhancement. By systematically examining the effects of random weight variations on three bipartite indexes (nestedness, modularity, and robustness), we assess the stability and resilience of the network under stochastic perturbations. Through targeted experiments, we identify critical links/nodes that significantly influence network topology and functionality. Lastly, we propose tri-objective optimization models that integrate objectives to guide network design and management decisions. Our findings provide valuable insights into the dynamics and optimization of weighted bipartite networks, with implications for network resilience, efficiency, and performance optimization.
