Federated Learning (FL) has progressed, providing a distributed mechanism where data need not be consolidated, thereby enhancing the privacy and security of sensitive healthcare data. Recent advancements in multimodal machine learning have empowered the development of accurate and robust AI systems in the medical domain, especially within centralized database systems. Multimodal federated learning (MFL) combines federated learning’s distributed nature with the flexibility to work with various data types. This capability is particularly relevant in medical contexts, where healthcare data can range from electronic health records (EHR) to radiology imaging, genomic data, and wearable device information. The key advantage of MFL in medical settings is the ability to create robust models without centralizing sensitive patient information. However, there are no existent research to comprehensively review the application status of MFL in smart healthcare systems from the modal-centric aspect. Motivated by this, we explore the systematization of knowledge about multimodal federated learning on medical data, find the challenges of this area and related solutions. Lung cancer is a leading cause of global mortality *** detection of pulmonary tumors can significantly enhance the survival rate of ***,various computer-Aided Diagnostic(CAD)methods have been developed to enhance the detection of pulmonary nodules with high ***,the existing method-ologies cannot obtain a high level of specificity and *** present study introduces a novel model for Lung Cancer Segmentation and Classification(LCSC),which incorporates two improved architectures,namely the improved U-Net architecture and the improved AlexNet *** LCSC model comprises two distinct *** first stage involves the utilization of an improved U-Net architecture to segment candidate nodules extracted from the lung ***,an improved AlexNet architecture is employed to classify lung *** the first stage,the proposed model demonstrates a dice accuracy of 0.855,a precision of 0.933,and a recall of 0.789 for the segmentation of candidate *** suggested improved AlexNet architecture attains 97.06%accuracy,a true positive rate of 96.36%,a true negative rate of 97.77%,a positive predictive value of 97.74%,and a negative predictive value of 96.41%for classifying pulmonary cancer as either benign or *** proposed LCSC model is tested and evaluated employing the publically available dataset furnished by the Lung Image database Consortium and Image database Resource Initiative(LIDC-IDRI).This proposed technique exhibits remarkable performance compared to the existing methods by using various evaluation parameters.

One of the most important aspects of environmental sustainability is water quality monitoring. The ecology is impacted by poor water quality in addition to aquatic life. With the volume of data being collected from satellite systems, the issue of effectively and automatically extracting water bodies is growing more pressing. One of the most important things to do for managing and safeguarding water resources is to conduct extensive monitoring of water quality parameters, or WQPs. It is still difficult to monitor optically inactive WQPs in inland waters, such as total nitrogen (TN), ammoniacal nitrogen (AN), and total phosphorus (TP). Water quality (WQ) classification and prediction can be greatly enhanced with the use of artificial intelligence (AI). This research proposes novel method in healthcare detection by water quality analysis based on classification utilising ML model. Input is collected as healthcare dataset based on water quality as well as processed for noise removal and normalisation. The processed data features are extracted and classified utilising reinforcement Gaussian stacked layer network with variational fuzzy Markov basis neural network. In order to suggest best course of action for the water bodies, it is imperative that any study look into the spatiotemporal changes of the dominant water quality parameters (WQPs). WQP concentrations have typically been determined by extensive fieldwork. These findings could help identify and regulate non-point source pollution, offer a large-scale spatial picture of the water quality, and pinpoint vulnerable locations and times of water pollution. Experimental analysis is carried out for various water sample dataset in terms of detection accuracy, mean precision, recall, F-1 score and AUC. The proposed technique obtained 97% of detection accuracy, 95% of recall, 91% of F-1 score, 96% of AUC, and 94% of MAP. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

Diabetes is a prevalent and chronic disease affecting millions worldwide, posing significant challenges in its management and treatment. This review article aims to explore the current and potential future roles of machine learning (ML) in diabetes management, focusing on progress, applications, and challenges. It discusses various ML techniques, including support vector machines (SVM), logistic regression, decision trees, ensemble methods, and advanced deep learning approaches such as long short-term memory (LSTM) networks and convolutional neural networks (CNN). These methods have demonstrated benefits in analytics, patient monitoring, decision support systems, personalised treatment, and patient engagement. However, significant challenges persist, such as computational complexity, data quality, limited interoperability of systems, and ethical concerns regarding AI use in healthcare. The article addresses these challenges by fostering collaboration between AI implementers and health care professionals. This collaboration is essential to develop long-term, legally compliant, and solution-oriented frameworks that enhance patient care and diabetes management and pave the way for more efficient and ethical AI applications in healthcare. © 2025 IEEE.

Smart healthcare employs cloud computing, the Internet of Things (IoT), and supercomputers to manage the healthcare system. Medical data storage volume is increasing, necessitating the adoption of Machine Learning (ML) models for predicting outcomes, particularly in the treatment of chronic illnesses. The trend of care personalization and technological integration is highlighted by the development of ML applications for clinical decision support systems, including real-time predictive analytics. Predictive analytics applications employ ML and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to forecast patient risks, outcomes, and treatment responses. Predictive analytics is more important in healthcare when it comes to detecting Alzheimer's disease, cardiovascular events, radiology, and other conditions. Therefore, the current study highlights the change in illness identification, medical imaging, and personalized medication brought about by ML and Predictive Analytics in Precision Medicine (PM). However, ethical concerns and the deployment of transparent AI models still need more research. This study anticipates a time when healthcare will be quicker, better informed, and more patient-centered by using the insights provided by intelligent healthcare data. By effectively saving patient lives, the use of ML in healthcare ushers in a new era for the industry. © 2024 IEEE.

The integration of autonomous vehicles (AVs) into modern transportation systems presents both unprecedented opportunities and challenges, particularly in ensuring road safety and reducing accidents. This paper explores the application of Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) techniques to enhance decision-making processes in AVs, aiming to proactively prevent road accidents. By simulating complex driving environments, DRL algorithms enable AVs to learn optimal driving strategies through continuous interaction and feedback. We introduce a DRL-based framework that incorporates sensor data fusion, real-time environment analysis, and adaptive control mechanisms. Experimental results from simulated urban and highway scenarios demonstrate a significant reduction in collision rates and improved response to unforeseen obstacles compared to traditional rule-based systems. The findings underscore the potential of DRL in fortifying the reliability and safety of autonomous driving technologies. © 2024 IEEE.

One of the biggest issues with worldwide public health is Parkinson's disease (PD). It is usually known that about are around one million Americans who have Parkinson's disease, whereas there are approximately five million cases of the condition globally. As a result, it's critical to identify Parkinson's disease early on and make the appropriate treatment plans. These days, machine learning is essential for analysing problems in real time and offering answers thanks to its widely used algorithms. These days, machine learning algorithms are used in the healthcare industry to identify patients' health problems. This research went into great detail about the methods used using algorithms that use machine learning to classify Parkinson's disease. A fault in the brain cells that generate dopamine, a necessary chemical for synapses to connect with one another, is the cause of Parkinson's disease. The brain's dopamine-producing neurons are in charge of control, flexibility, and event familiarity. When 60-80% of these cells disappear, inadequate dopamine is produced, which causes Parkinson's disease symptoms to manifest. In this case, the Random Forest, Decision Tree, K-Nearest Neighbours, and Support Vector Machine techniques were used to identify the illness. Compared to Decision Tree and Support Vector Machine, Random Forest and K-Nearest Neighbours offer the best performance. © 2024 IEEE.

In India, heart disease claims the lives of about one person every day. The human body's most vital organ is the heart. The heart has two primary purposes: first, it gathers blood from body tissues and pumps it to the lungs;second, it gathers blood from the lungs and pumps it to all body *** disease has claimed the lives of many people. Predicting that disease at the appropriate moment is crucial, for this reason. Making use of machine learning Additionally, illnesses are easily identified and anticipated. It also covers the use of many algorithms on the Heart Disease dataset. The dataset used in this research was obtained from Kaggle. Analyzing fundamental machine learning algorithms for the prediction of heart disease, such as Random Forest, K-Nearest Neighbours, Decision Tree Classifier, and Support Vector Machine, is the primary goal of this study. Our Acquired Model for The Decision Tree Classifier has a score of 79.0%. And the Random Forest Classifier has an 84.0% score. With a linear kernel, the Support Vector Classifier scores 83.0%. Next, K Neighbours Classifier~ outperformed all previously employed methods, achieving the maximum score of {87%} with ~8 nearest result. RF (Random Forest), K-Nearest Neighbours Algorithm, and Decision Tree, together with Python programming and Visual Studio, which excels at both data and code. © 2024 IEEE.

The Conversational Brain-Artificial Intelligence Interface (BAI) is a novel brain-computer interface (BCI) that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to help individuals with severe language impairments communicate. It translates users’ broad intentions into coherent, context-specific responses through an advanced AI conversational agent. A critical aspect of intention translation in BAI is the decoding of code-modulated visual evoked potentials (c-VEP) signals. This study evaluates five different artificial neural network (ANN) architectures for decoding c-VEP-based EEG signals in the BAI system, highlighting the efficacy of lightweight, shallow ANN models and pre-training strategies using data from other participants to enhance classification performance. These results provide valuable insights for the application of ANN models in decoding c-VEP-based EEG signals and may benefit other c-VEP-based BCI systems.
