The need for publishing maps in secure digital format, especially guarantees data integrity which motivated us to propose a scheme that detects and locates modification data with high accuracy while ensuring exact recovery of the original content. In particular, using fragile watermarking algorithm based on reversible manner to embed hidden data in 2D vector map for each spatial features. In this paper, a reversible data-hiding scheme is explored based on the idea of difference expansion with Manhattan distances. A set of invertible integer mappings is defined to extract Manhattan distances from coordinates and the hidden data are embedded by modifying the differences between the adjacent distances. Experiments results show that the proposed scheme has good performance in term invisibility and tamper modification ability. The scheme could detect modification data such addition and deletion some features, and exactly recovery the original content of the 2D vector map.

Deep Web databases contain more than 90% of pertinent information of the Web. Despite their importance, users don't profit of this treasury. Many deep web services are offering competitive services in term of prices, quality of service, and facilities. As the number of services is growing rapidly, users have difficulty to ask many web services in the same time. In this paper, we imagine a system where users have the possibility to formulate one query using one query interface and then the system translates query to the rest of query interfaces. However, interfaces are created by designers in order to be interpreted visually by users, machines can not interpret query from a given interface. We propose a new approach which emulates capacity of interpretation of users and extracts query from deep web query interfaces. Our approach has proved good performances on two standard datasets. © 2012 AICIT.

The standard optimized link state routing (OLSR) introduces an interesting concept, the multipoint relays (MPRs), to mitigate message overhead during the flooding process. This paper propose a new algorithm for MPRs selection to enhance the performance of OLSR using particle swarm optimization sigmoid increasing inertia weight (PSOSIIW). The sigmoid increasing inertia weight has significance improve the particle swarm optimization (PSO) in terms of simplicity and quick convergence towards optimum solution. The new fitness function of PSOSIIW, packet delay of each node and degree of willingness are introduced to support MPRs selection in OLSR. The throughput, packet loss and end-toend delay of the proposed method are examined using network simulator 2 (ns2). Overall results indicate that OLSR-PSOSIIW has shown good performance compared to the standard OLSR and OLSR-PSO, particularly for the throughput and end-to-end delay. Generally the proposed OLSR-PSOSIIW shows advantage of using PSO for optimizing routing paths in the MPRs selection algorithm. © 2012 Universitas Ahmad Dahlan.

This paper introduces a novel application of artificial bee colony (ABC) in designing the coordinated Power System Stabilizer (PSS) with Thyristor Controlled Series Compensator (TCSC) based Controller to improve the transient stability of single machine connected to infinite bus through transmission line. Various simulation results and comparisons over different loading conditions on a single machine infinite bus power system shows the superiority of ABC in designing the coordinated controller. © 2012 IEEE.

The Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA) is the next generation very high energy gamma-ray observatory. It will consist of three classes of telescopes, of large, medium and small sizes. The small telescopes, of 4 m diameter, will be dedicated to the observations of the highest energy gamma-rays, above several TeV. We present the technical characteristics of a single mirror, 4 m diameter, Davies-Cotton telescope for the CTA and the performance of the sub-array consisting of the telescopes of this type. The telescope will be equipped with a fully digital camera based on custom made, hexagonal Geiger-mode avalanche photodiodes. The development of cameras based on such devices is an RnD since traditionally photomultipliers are used. The photodiodes are now being characterized at various institutions of the CTA Consortium. Glass mirrors will be used, although an alternative is being considered: composite mirrors that could be adopted if they meet the project requirements. We present a design of the telescope structure, its components and results of the numerical simulations of the telescope performance. © 2013 Sociedade Brasileira de Fisica. All Rights Reserved.

Spatio-Temporal data is related to many of the issues around us such as satellite images, weather maps, transportation systems and so on. Furthermore, this information is commonly not static and can change over the time. Therefore the nature of this kind of data are huge, analysing data is a complex task. This research aims to propose an intermediate data model that can represented suitable for Spatio-Temporal data and performing data mining task easily while facing problem in frequently changing the data. In order to propose suitable data model, this research also investigate the analytical parameters, the structure and its specifications for Spatio-Temporal data. The concept of proposed data model is inspired from the nature of hair which has specific properties and its growth over the time. In order to have better looking and quality, the data is needed to maintain over the time such as combing, cutting, colouring, covering, cleaning etc. The proposed data model is represented by using mathematical model and later developed the data model tools. The data model is developed based on the existing relational and object-oriented models. This paper deals with the problems of available Spatio-Temporal data models for utilizing data mining technology and defines a new model based on analytical attributes and functions.

The characteristics of decisions and the evaluation of their outcome are highly complex. In this paper, we first give a short analysis of different types of decisions such as long-term and short-term decisions or dilemmas by discussing different scenarios and examples. We identify characteristics of decisions and give a short account of the usually quite complex decision scenarios involved and the high uncertainty of long-term predictions. We introduce serious games as a tool for evaluation of decisions through simulation. By using serious games long-term effects of decisions can be evaluated and known measurement criteria for short-term decision can be transformed to support long-term decisions. © 2012 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.

Chromosomal aberrations and somatic mutations constitute key elements of the pathogenesis of myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), a clonal hematologic malignancy characterized by cytopenias, a dysplastic bone marrow and propensity to clonal evolution. Next generation sequencing (NGS) enables definition of somatic mutational patterns and clonal architecture as a discovery platform, and for clinical *** systematically applied NGS to 707 cases of MDS and MDS-related disorders. 205 cases (low-risk MDS: N=78, high-risk MDS: N=42, MDS/MPN: N=48 and sAML: N=37) were tested by whole exome sequencing (WES). For validation in an additional 502 patients (low-risk MDS: N=192, high-risk MDS: N=104, MDS/MPN: N=111 and sAML: N=95), targeted deep NGS was applied for 60 index genes which were most commonly affected in the cohort analyzed by WES. For NGS data analysis a statistical pipeline was developed to focus on: i) identification of the most relevant somatic mutations, and ii) minimization of false positive results. We studied serial samples from 21 exemplary informative patients. We also compared somatic mutational patterns to those seen in primary AML TCGA cohort (N=201). Given the size of the cohort, there was, for example, a 87% chance of seeing mutations at a frequency of 1% and a 98% of seeing those with a frequency of 2%. While focusing on the most common events, we observed 1117 somatic mutations in 199 genes. The 88 genes mutated mutated in >1% of cases with MDS carried 388 mutations in MDS+sAML (2.5/case), 128 in MDS/MPN (2.7/case) and 398 in pAML (2.0/case). The average number of mutations per case increased during progression (2.2 in lower-risk, 2.8 in higher-risk MDS, 3.4 in sAML). In MDS, the 30 most frequently affected genes were present at least once in 70% of patients. The 30 most frequently mutated genes in MDS/MPN were mutated in 82% of patients. The concept of wisdom has been a term of reflection since the first philosophical definition attempts by Aristotle (384 BC - 322 BC). Different religions and sciences offered possible properties and facets of wisdom - without ever coming to an agreement on how to define the term. As especially cognitive sciences provided new insights during the last decades the time might have come for a revised, more conclusive definition or at least modelization of wisdom, using and integrating the insights of different disciplines out of humanities, cognitive and natural science to create a common base for further interdisciplinary research. Furthermore, we discuss possible measures that are able to cover a least fundamental properties of wisdom including its vague aspects. © 2012 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
