Visitor management is a common activity that happens every day all around the world. Accepting visitors at home or in the office, going to the bank, or visiting a private residential area;some sort of visitor management goes on in all those activities to ensure access control and security. Insecurity is a big challenge that comes with receiving visitors and that is why visitor management is important. Traditionally, visitor management is handled physically by recording visitors’ information into a log book and asking visitors to contact their hosts before gaining access to a secured environment but this process is time-consuming and the visitor’s record is exposed to exploitation. Automated Visitor Management Systems (VMS) overcome the shortcomings of the traditional method of visitor management. VMS automates the process of recording visitors’ information, keeping a log of all visits, and ensuring some sort of access control or visitor authentication just in case of an imposter or if anything ever goes wrong. This study aims to design and model a flexible Mobile Visitor Management system that can be used to record visitors’ information and authenticate visitors for access control purposes. The study was achieved using Figma software to design and prototype the system and then using React Native and SQLite for the development of the system. The system has proven to be more convenient than the common traditional way of recording visitors’ information into a physical log book. The system protects its users from loss of information, waste of time, and insecurity. The flexible and inexpensive nature of the system makes it adaptable to almost any organization or property owner, this gives the general public a great opportunity to try out Visitor Management Technology. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

A prominent application in healthcare is the classification and detection of breast cancer using convolutional neural networks (CNNs). It entails creating a system that can precisely pinpoint malignant spots or gauge the tendency of breast cancer through the examination of diagnostic pictures like mammograms. This study focuses on the use of Convolutional Neural Networks for the detection and classification of breast cancer. The proposed model analyzes mammogram images to distinguish cancerous and non-cancerous instances automatically. Preparing the dataset developing the CNNs model’s architecture, training the model, assessing its performance, and producing predictions based on hypothetical data are all the steps in the process. The CNN model learns to extract relevant features and patterns from a large dataset, increasing classification accuracy. Tests show that the CNN model is effective at correctly identifying breast cancer. This method will help medical professionals diagnose patients quickly and correctly, improving patient outcomes in the fight against breast cancer. The prediction can be improved using post-processing techniques and the trained model can be used in practical applications. The model accuracy was 0.98 and the model loss was 0.14. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

Human-computer interaction (HCI) is an evolving field of research that focuses on understanding and improving the communication and interaction between humans and computers. Over the past decades, we have seen many significant advances in this field, which have contributed to the widespread adoption and integration of technology into our daily lives. HCI research and development aims to design information technology systems to meet the needs and preferences of users. Usability, efficiency, accessibility and user satisfaction are important considerations in HCI design. This paper presents the results of a pilot study on user acceptance of HCIs. The results show that users are positive about and willing to use HCIs. © 2023 IEEE.

The VHF Band III spectrum (174-230 MHz), recognized for its low utilization, was opened by the FCC in 2002 for opportunistic use by communication technologies. This paper presents a quantitative analysis of the availability of VHF Band III for cognitive radio CR access in Malaysia. Measurements were conducted over a week in 18 Malaysian cities to analyze spectrum utilization and received signal strength, alongside the impact of broadcasts from neighboring countries. The findings highlight actual utilization patterns and reveal the spectrum's potential for opportunistic access, especially post-digital switchover (DSO). © 2025 IEEE.

Vehicle use and the concept of a "smart city"are developing quickly. As a result of this progression, the Vehicular Ad-Hoc Network (VANET) is a popular network for inter-vehicular communication. The data gathering about the state of the road, the whereabouts of vehicles, their speeds, and the description of traffic congestion are obtained using the VANET. The public nature of information flow on the VANET creates serious security risks. Data security is typically one of the most important duties of VANET. As a result, it becomes one of the researchers' top priorities. Li et al. [1] introduced a Lightweight Privacy Preserving Authentication Protocol for VANETs. They stated that several attacks could be resisted using their secure authentication devised protocol. However, after analyzing we discovered that their authentication protocol is susceptible to roadside impersonation attack and it does not provide vehicle anonymity. In the end, we have provided a few suggestions to cope with Li et al.'s devised protocol current shortcomings. © 2023 IEEE.

5G New Radio (NR) operates in two frequency ranges viz. Frequency Range 1 (sub-6 GHz band) and Frequency Range 2 (millimeter wave communication). It utilizes Time Division Duplex (TDD) communication, allowing the same frequency band for uplink and downlink transmission using sounding reference signals. These signals help estimate channel conditions for scheduling downlink traffic. Multi-User Multiple Input Multiple Output (MU-MIMO) technology enables simultaneous data transmission to multiple users using multiple antennas. This study examines MU-MIMO performance in TDD by analyzing variables like radio conditions, modulation schemes, code rates, precoding algorithms, and sub-carrier spacing. Simulation results show that Zero Forcing (ZF) precoding outperforms Block Diagonalization (BD) and Regularized Zero Forcing (RZF) in good radio conditions. However, in bad radio conditions, RZF performs better than ZF. Choosing higher code rates in 16 and 64-QAM and lower code rates in 256-QAM from the MCS table improves throughput. This indicates that MCS and user selection are crucial for higher throughput in TDD-based MU-MIMO for 5G NR. © Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of computer Applications and Management 2024.

Election is a basic democratic tool that offers an official mechanism for the people to express their opinions in order to form a government by democratic means. Electronic voting has evolved into the most significant application of e-governance and e-democracy. Few countries have recently taken the opportunity to test and use electronic voting systems. Also, many countries expect that internet voting will become a reality during the next decade. In the conventional voting system, the electors authenticate themselves by displaying credentials;this move is open to the public and is validated by poll workers. During this authentication, they are manually checked before being eligible to vote. The standard system of voting is more costly and needs more human capital. Because of these factors, the whole world is heading toward the trend of e-voting. Electronic voting devices are supposed to be the answer to the shortages. A secure e-voting system must meet many criteria, including uniqueness, performance, fairness, stability, safety, authentication, and anonymity. Block-chain is a modern security solution, which is capable of securing e-voting system. Blockchain is distributed ledger. Each block contains only one transaction. Block chain provides security using cryptography and hashing. Blockchain provides a perfect infrastructure to provide secure e-voting ***. Blockchain along with smart contracts need hour to improvise an e-voting system. This paper presents a secure blockchain based framework for an e-electronic voting in Iraq. © 2022

The Blockchain technology moves data nodes and data streams from one informatics center to another based on the importance of Bitcoins, resulting in a dedicated, public, and secure network for interpretation and development of the ensuing information chain reaction. Blockchains are frequently formed by connecting interrelated patterns of information in order to conduct a secure transaction. Blockchain has the characteristics of decentralization, transparency, immutability, autonomy, open-source, anonymity, and consensus. Block chains are being utilized in a variety of real-world applications, including business and economics, financial technology, and digital currencies. This article does a comprehensive review of the literature on blockchain technology. While searching for the keyword "blockchain" as a subject, we identified a total of 1882 entries in these databases. After removing the less common record kinds, the papers were reduced to 1246 articles, which were then used for further investigation. © 2022

In this paper we present two types of server implementation, we will look at the advantages and disadvantages of each technology. *** server application, built with ***, a single threaded server which will treat the requests in an asynchronous manner, with a non-blocking principle, whilst Spring Boot is a more robust and more common approach of a server technology with the benefits of having a strongly typed architecture and multiple threads available. These types of application will behave the same, making almost impossible to tell the difference between a *** and a Spring Boot web server. © 2023 IEEE.

The worldwide risk of droughts to water security and agricultural sustainability is growing. Using Internet of Things (IoT) technology and a Support Vector Machine (SVM) classifier to create drought-prone early warning systems is an innovative solution to these difficulties. Better water resource management and resilience in water-scarce locations are the study goals. The IoT infrastructure collects real-time data from sensors strategically positioned over the research area to monitor soil moisture, weather, and water levels. SVM classifiers, which are effective in classification, get this large dataset. The SVM model uses data to predict and classify drought events, alerting decision-makers and stakeholders. The system shows that this integrated strategy works. The IoT-SVM early warning system reliably predicts droughts and alerts authorities in advance, enabling proactive mitigation and intervention. The system's drought prediction accuracy helps drought-prone areas achieve water security and resilience by allocating resources, managing water sustainably, and reducing effects on agriculture and people. It uses IoT and machine learning to improve drought preparation and response, improving long-term water sustainability and resilience in water-scarce areas. © 2024 IEEE.
