Forecasting the price of bitcoins is significant in contemporary research, given the fact that the digital currency is relatively unpredictable and highly integrated in global securities markets. This paper compares the use of three deep learning models, namely recurrent neural networks (RNN), gated recurrent unit (GRU), and a convolutional neural network-long short-term memory (CNN-LSTM) for Bitcoin price prediction. Historical Bitcoin price data is used in the dataset, and every one of the models is trained and tested based on its performance to predict future prices based on past data. The proposed models include the RNN and GRU, which incorporate sequential dependency mappings to learn complex sequences, and the CNN-LSTM structures combine convolution layers for feature extraction and LSTM layers for sequencing. Different models' competency is discussed using the averaged Mean Squared Error (MSE) and graphs of the model's prediction against actual prices. The experimental results reveal that the proposed CNN-LSTM model has better prediction accuracy than RNN and GRU in time-series forecasting tasks, indicating that more complex architecture hybrid models might provide better forecasting performance. In analyzing and analyzing cryptocurrency price dynamics, this investigation gives information about the opportunities and challenges of these models to enhance future research. © 2025 IEEE.

Most of the research conducted in action recognition is mainly focused on general human action recognition, and most of the available datasets support studies in general human action recognition. In more specific contexts, such as basketball, datasets that are as comprehensive and publicly available are limited. This study proposes taking three popular and mature methods in the field of action recognition, namely Temporal Segment Networks (TSN), Two-Stream CNN using Inflated 3D-convolutional Neural Networks (I3D) and Pose-C3D, and applying them to the SpaceJam dataset, which is a basketball-specific action dataset. All three experiments used pre-trained ImageNet models and were fine-tuned on the SpaceJam dataset. TSN was the oldest of the methods but obtained the best results of the three experiments, scoring a top-1 and top-5 accuracy of 59% and 96%, respectively. I3D was second best, with a top-1 and top-5 accuracy of 41% and 85%, respectively. Pose-C3D came in third, scoring a top-1 and top-5 accuracy of 15% and 50%, respectively. The results show that the models cannot distinguish significantly between some actions, such as ball in hand, pass and dribble. The study shows that it is feasible for context-specific fine-grain action recognition, but more needs to be done to discriminate against similar actions. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

The large language model has demonstrated its ability to reason and interpret in text-to-text applications. Current Chain of Thought (CoT) research focuses on either explaining reasoning steps or improving prediction results. This paper proposes a transformer-based language model to generate explanations as the Chain of Thoughts, then fuse visual (image) modality. The proposed model allows a multimodal reasoning chain based on text and image information. In particular, we adopt an attention layer with a gated fusion mechanism to form a joint representation for image and text input. The experiment results show that using CoT as part of the input can increase answer prediction by 19% in our study. Therefore, in our modelling process, CoT prompting is not only a part of the output to generate reasoning explanations but is also used as the input of the decoder to predict answers. The proposed method outperforms GPT-3.5 (two-shot) by 14% and GPT-4 (CoT) by 4.71% with a much smaller parameter size pre-trained language model. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Text style transfer is the task of modifying the stylistic attributes of a given text while preserving its original meaning. This task has also gained interest with the advent of large language models. Although knowledge graph augmentation has been explored in various tasks, its potential for enhancing text style transfer has received limited attention. This paper proposes a method to create a Style Knowledge Graph (SKG) to facilitate and improve text style transfer. The SKG captures words, their attributes, and relations in a particular style, that serves as a knowledge resource to augment text style transfer. We conduct baseline experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of the SKG for augmenting text style transfer by incorporating relevant parts from the SKG in the prompt. The preliminary results demonstrate its potential for enhancing content preservation and style transfer strength in text style transfer tasks, while the results on fluency indicate promising outcomes with some room for improvement. We hope that the proposed SKG and the initial experiments will inspire further research in the field. ©2025 International Committee on Computational Linguistics (ICCL)

The manual analysis of job resumes poses specific challenges, including the time-intensive process and the high likelihood of human error, emphasizing the need for automation in content-based recommendations. Recent advancements in deep learning, particularly Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) for Multi-label Text Classification (MLTC), offer a promising solution for addressing these challenges through artificial intelligence. While CNN is renowned for its robust feature extraction capabilities, it faces specific challenges such as managing high-dimensional data and poor data interpretability. To address these limitations, this study employs the Fuzzy Discernibility Matrix (FDM) feature selection technique to determine the relevance of skills for each job vacancy. FDM assigns weights to the features of each job category and ranks their relevance based on the highest scores, which are then utilized in the MLTC CNN model. The integration of FDM and MLTC CNN serves as the foundation for generating content-based recommendations derived from key features in job resumes. This study produces a content-based job recommendation system that displays the top three job categories, accompanied by explanations of the skills supporting each selected category. These recommendations also consider cosine similarity values between analyzed items and the integrated results of FDM and MLTC CNN. The application of FDM for feature weighting has been proven to enhance multi-label text classification outcomes by providing better insights during the feature selection process. With a recall of 97.26%, precision of 94.81%, and accuracy of 98.58%, the MLTC model integrating FDM feature selection and CNN demonstrates robust performance characteristics in content-based job recommendation tasks. © 2025 Slovene Society Informatika. A virtual chatbot assistant is an interactive application designed to simulate human-like communication and respond to user inquiries promptly. It focuses on building an interesting user interface and putting simple conversational logic into practice;this article presents the development of a chatbot using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Developers can make these fundamental web technologies useful in the creation of accessible and user-friendly chatbot systems for any kind of application. This paper addresses graph topology identification for applications where the underlying structure of systems like brain and social networks is not directly observable. Traditional approaches based on signal matching and spectral templates have limitations, particularly in handling scale issues and sparsity assumptions. We introduce a novel covariance matching methodology that efficiently reconstructs the graph topology using observable data. For the structural equation model (SEM) using an undirected graph, we demonstrate that our method can converge to the correct result under relatively soft conditions. Furthermore, we extend our methodology to polynomial models and any known distribution of latent variables, broadening its applicability and utility in diverse graph-based systems. © 2025 IEEE.

In this study, we presente digital solution for training master's students in engineering sciences, using a bimodal learning approach at the Higher Institute of Technology of Bangui's University. This proposal addresses the lack of master's-level programs in DevOps and Network Telecommunications, as well as the insufficient expertise of local educators in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). It also aims to strengthen the instruction of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The solution is based on remote learning platforms hosted in the public cloud, engaging students and teachers in a bimodal teaching model that delivers simultaneous instruction to both inperson and remote students via a high-speed TV White Space (TVWS) and 5G network. The expected impact is the training of competent engineers capable of successfully carrying out projects in the domain of information and communication technology, thereby contributing to the development of the Central African Republic. © 2025 IEEE.

A new family of q-Bernstein polynomials: probabilistic viewpoint

In this paper, we introduce a new class of polynomials, called probabilistic q-Bernstein polynomials, alongside their generating function. Assuming (Formula presented.) is a random variable satisfying moment conditions, we use the generating function of these polynomials to establish new relations. These include connections to probabilistic Stirling numbers of the second kind and higher-order probabilistic Bernoulli polynomials associated with (Formula presented.) Additionally, we derive recurrence and differentiation properties for probabilistic q-Bernstein polynomials. Utilizing Leibniz’s formula, we give an identity for the generating function of these polynomials. In the latter part of the paper, we explore applications by choosing appropriate random variables, such as Poisson, Bernoulli, Binomial, Geometric, Negative Binomial, and Uniform distributions. This allows us to derive relationships among probabilistic q-Bernstein polynomials, Bell polynomials, Stirling numbers of the second kind, higher-order Frobenius-Euler numbers, and higher-order Bernoulli polynomials. We also present p-adic q-integral and fermionic p-adic q-integral representations for probabilistic q-Bernstein polynomials. © 2025 The Author(s). Multifrequency measurement system with no frequency ambiguity based on two frequency-space mappings has been designed and investigated. By simultaneously mapping the unknown frequencies with a certain frequency shift onto non-flat optical frequency combs (OFCs) and obtaining two beat frequency signals using two balanced photodetectors (BPD), the channel where the measured signal is located can be determined, achieving instantaneous measurement of multifrequencies while effectively addressing five possible types of frequency ambiguity. Simulation results indicate that when the comb line spacing of the OFC is designed as 2 GHz, the measurement range of the system is 0.1 to 30 GHz, with a measurement error within ±1 MHz and a measurement resolution of 2.7 MHz. Furthermore, by adjusting the comb line spacing of the OFC to 4 GHz, the frequency measurement range can be extended to 60 GHz. © 2025 Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE)
