Breast cancer is the most prevalent cancer among women and can be deadly, necessitating early detection to enhance patient outcomes and treatment effectiveness. Recently, Machine Learning (ML) techniques have shown potential in medical diagnostics, especially in breast cancer screening. ML algorithms examine extensive medical databases, including patient records, to identify subtle patterns and anomalies indicative of cancer. These algorithms excel at recognizing intricate patterns that may be missed by human analysis. Thereby, increasing the precision of breast cancer diagnoses. By evaluating and analyzing medical data, ML algorithms can detect minute anomalies, facilitating early identification of potential cancer cases. A significant advantage of ML-based breast cancer detection is its capacity for continuous learning and adaptation. In this study, we utilized 34 classifiers and five feature selection methods on three datasets. The first dataset comprises 286 instances with 10 integer-type features. The second dataset includes 699 instances with 10 integer-type features, and the third dataset consists of 286 instances with 13 integer-type features. For Dataset 1, Filtered Classifier and J-48 yielded the best results, while the Bayesnet classifier performed best on Dataset 2. In Dataset 3, SimpleLogistic and LMT achieved the best outcomes. Regarding feature selection, the study showed that the GainRatioAttributeEval, InfoGainAttributeEval, and CorrelationAttributeEval techniques are the best among the feature selection methods tested in the study. © 2024 IEEE.

The development of Decision Support Systems (DSS) for several companies operating in sectors such as tourism, healthcare, or others, presents significant challenges due to the nature of their multi-component architecture. A typical DSS consists of a data component, a model component incorporating machine learning and deep learning techniques, and a user interface component, each one requires diverse technologies. This complexity increases development time and effort, hindering the efficient design of DSS tailored to specific domains like tourism, where real-time decision-making is essential. One promising approach to overcome these challenges is the use of Domain-Specific Languages (DSLs). DSLs allow developers to model and generate code more efficiently by providing high-level abstractions suited to the domain. By leveraging DSLs, it is possible to simplify the design process and automate the generation of code or parts of the DSS, thereby reducing the overall complexity and time required for development. This paper proposes a metamodel for designing DSS, specifically for the Smart Tourism sector. The metamodel serves as a foundation for the creation of DSL. The goal is to provide a solution to facilitate the development of DSS for the demands of tourism. The paper outlines the key concepts, approach, and results, presenting the first element of the proposed DSL which is the metamodel capturing the essential components and relationships for DSS in Smart Tourism. © 2024 IEEE.

Task scheduling is one of the significant factors for heterogeneous type of elements in multi-cloud computing environment. It is to delegate activities to most adequate resources to raise the performance with respect to some dynamic parameters. The suggested model of scheduling was designed to run applications of cloud computing which applied in three steps (classifying, execution, minimization, and rating) and is assumed to be completion time, average waiting and turnaround time, and render duration as output parameters. The tasks’ execution time in cloud computing applications was created in the task scheduling model by exponential and normal distribution. The task ranking depends on the shortest strategy for First Job and the results are compared with other “Largest Processing Time” and “First Come First Serve” ranking method. The study focuses on Quality of Service (QoS) issues in learning automata-based AODV (LA-AODV) for V2V communication protocols. It analyzes and compares the LAAODV protocol with the original AODV protocol in dynamic traffic situations. The study evaluates critical metrics such as the number of vehicles, average speed, congestion spots, and vehicle time loss across various traffic scenarios, including smooth traffic, steady flow traffic, and heavy traffic. NS3 and SUMO are used as essential tools for this evaluation. The study finds that the LA-AODV protocol performs better in smooth traffic conditions than AODV. It demonstrates a 38.27% higher packet delivery ratio (PDR), an 85.26% lower packet loss ratio (PLR), and a remarkable 56.62% increase in average throughput compared to AODV. Both protocols exhibit similar performance in steady flow traffic with high PDRs (97.60% and 96.87%, respectively) and low PLRs (2% and 3%, respectively). However, AODV outshines LA-AODV with a higher PDR (97.60%)) than LA-AODV (96.87%) in heavy traffic. LA-AODV, on the other hand, excels in average throughput by 17.24% in heavy traffic. The study offers valuable insights for improving V2V communication protocols and enhancing communication efficiency to handle dynamic and traffic situations. © 2024 IEEE.

When data travels through an insecure medium, security must be enforced. The confidentiality of the exchanged data must be guaranteed with the help of encryption techniques. Selective encryption is a very powerful tool for encrypting textual data in a resource constrained environment. In the context of e-governance, textual data is very important and must be protected from any kind of security threat using selective text encryption. In this paper, a fast and efficient selective encryption technique based on an RSA asymmetric key encoding approach is presented. After fetching the whole textual information in the encryption phase, the user will search for a particular word or phrase using regular expression. After that, the selected data will be encrypted using the RSA-1024-bit algorithm and written to a new encoded document with the remaining text data. In the phase of decoding the data, only the encoded text of the document is considered. The experimental result confirms that the encrypting method is secure in terms of statistical security tests and fast in terms of computation time. Our encoding method can be implemented to encrypt any multimedia data like images, audio, and videos. With the rapid development of Large Language Model (LLM) technology, it has become an indispensable force in biomedical data analysis research. However, biomedical researchers currently have limited knowledge about LLM. Therefore, there is an urgent need for a summary of LLM applications in biomedical data analysis. Herein, we propose this review by summarizing the latest research work on LLM in biomedicine. In this review, LLM techniques are first outlined. We then discuss biomedical datasets and frameworks for biomedical data analysis, followed by a detailed analysis of LLM applications in genomics, proteomics, transcriptomics, radiomics, single-cell analysis, medical texts and drug discovery. Finally, the challenges of LLM in biomedical data analysis are discussed. In summary, this review is intended for researchers interested in LLM technology and aims to help them understand and apply LLM in biomedical data analysis research. © 2013 IEEE.

Due to inconvenience and time wasting factor in traditional trolleys employed in shopping malls, markets and shopping complexes etc, we have come up with the novel solution named as RoboTrolley i.e. an intelligent customer following trolley (CFT) that will follow the customer while maintaining a suitable distance. The CFT strikes an optimal equilibrium between automation and personalized experience through this harmonious fusion of technology and human-centric design and redefines the shopping experience. This design has been achieved by integrating contemporary technology into the establishing framework of customer-oriented traditional shopping in order to enhance efficiency and convenience throughout shopping. This intelligent CFT operates on one ultrasonic and two IR sensors for distance and motion detection of customer respectively, L298 motor driver module for 4 DC geared motors and Arduino UNO as micro-controller in the design to bring paradigm shift in retail dynamics. Percentage performance and speed in meter per second versus distance in centimeter has been observed for our CFT i.e. between 5 cm to 45 cm. This CFT range is selected after testing the workable ultrasonic sensor's range with a safety margin so no other person can disturb the detection of actual customer by coming in between. More than 90 percent performance has been observed on a particular distance of 35cm and 45cm between customer and our proposed CFT. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper discusses the use of node2vec graph embeddings to improve the performance of wide and deep recommenders by substituting the embedding layer with graph embeddings to leverage its representational power without major investments in migrating from current recommender systems. First, recommender systems importance in modern day platforms is discussed. The Internet of Things (IoT) technology is a viable alternative for monitoring meteorological data in a specific area and making the data accessible from anywhere in the world. This is based on the idea that IoT technology connects electronic sensors to the public internet. Data from the embedded system can be accessed via the internet from anywhere in the world. In some regions, it may be impossible to examine and monitor vital weather parameters utilizing wires and analog devices during some weather threats. This research proposes a comprehensive approach for monitoring the weather conditions in a particular region and making the information accessible in other parts of the globe using a system described in this study. The IoT is the underlying technology that enables this. It is a highly developed and effective method for connecting things to the internet and bringing the whole internet of things together in a network. This research work has developed an IoT-based forecast concerning sustainable development using an embedded system that can report weather status such as air pressure, heating rate, moisture, air quality, illuminance, and so on in real time. The measurement data has been given as an input to Thingspeak's server for processing and assessment. © 2023 IEEE.
