Traffic jams on the motorways due to accidents or other emergencies have proven difficult to resolve. The time it takes for the cars to line up and move out of the jam on their own accord is usually rather long. This article presents a system named ETMRTCM, which effectively centralized traffic coordination as a solution for overcoming transitory bottlenecks on multi-lane motorways. At initially, warning alerts regarding the traffic congestion happened depending on Vehicle to Vehicle communications. Then, automobiles start negotiating with their neighbors to figure out the best structure (platoon leader, distance gap, speed, and the number of vehicles) for formulating platoons. As a result, cars can move through the congestion more efficiently. After that, the platoon leaders give orders to the troops to switch lanes if there is an open space in the road adjacent to the one in which they are. The trial findings show that our method may shorten the wait time for the last few cars passing through the congested region by up to 22%. The suggested process also efficiently shortens wait times for vehicles entering the crowded zone while keeping things even for those leaving it. © 2023 IEEE.

This article presents an output capacitor-less low dropout regulator (LDO) that achieves fast transient response through a current compensation circuit. The push-pull structure improves the voltage swing rate at the gate of the pass device and enables the gate capacitor to quickly charge and discharge when switching between light and heavy loads. The current compensation circuit is composed of logic-threshold trigged comparator (LTTC) circuit and replication transistor. When the output voltage changes, the logical threshold voltage of LTTC will change, so as to achieve the effect of comparison, to open or turn off the replication transistor, and can compensate the output current to stabilize the output voltage. The proposed structure has been implemented in CMOS 0.1S-μ m standard process. The measured voltage undershoot and overshoot is 192mV and 190mV respectively with a load steps from 10μ A to 500mA with 500ns edge times. © 2023 IEEE.

The water quality control and monitoring system in vaname shrimp ponds is a system made to make it easier for shrimp farmers to control and monitor water quality parameters in vaname shrimp farming ponds, in this case if the temperature, pH level and turbidity level of water are at a predetermined threshold. Then the system will normalize water, by activating the water pump to normalize water quality based on sensor data input. Real-time monitoring through the web platform allows cultivators to monitor water conditions in real time and can take quick action. Based on the results of sensor testing in measuring pH, temperature and turbidity in vaname shrimp farming pond water, the measurement results in sensor readings are quite good with an average pH sensor of 0.56% and an average error of a temperature sensor of 1.9%, while the turbidity value of water is 25 NTU. Data from pH sensor readings, temperature and turbidity, and water pump status can be sent to the database accurately and data can be displayed through the website making it easier for users to monitor, provided that the device must be connected to an internet connection. © 2023 IEEE.

Aspect-based sentiment Analysis (ABSA) has been contributing to a more nuanced understanding of sentiment-related issues and offering enhanced opportunities for sentiment analysis. The number of aspects in data sets are often unbalanced. This causes results that tend towards the majority class and ignore the minority class This research uses Bi-LSTM to classify the aspects and sentiments because Bi-LSTM is able to handle problems in LSTM. The primary objective of this research was to assess the efficacy of the Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory method in the context of Aspect-Based Sentiment Analysis applied to reviews of Marketplace applications and common problems in machine learning in unbalanced datasets. The preprocessing of input data involved word embedding through Word2Vec Continuous Bag of Words (CBOW). Primarily, the training dataset encompassed 2250 instances, while the test dataset comprised 750. The evaluation enclosed a comparative analysis involving the proposed method (Bi-LSTM+CBOW+ROS), on Bi-LSTM+CBOW, Bi- LSTM+CBOW+RUS and Bi-LSTM+CBOW+SMOTE. The test results show that the proposed method is superior to all comparison methods. Bi-LSTM+CBOW+ROS produces the highest accuracy, namely the usability aspect of 92.40%, the maximum precision is 98.03%, the maximum recall is 100% and the maximum f1-score is 98.68%. The Usability aspect got the best results for all the methods tested. © 2023 IEEE.

To ensure children's safety in streets, it is crucial to teach them the basic rules of traffic. Given the risks associated with training in the real world and the ineffectiveness of traditional education in these situations, it is essential to teach road awareness through simulations and games to young traffic users. Children can be immersed in the virtual environment and feel the sense of presence in the real environment. Children can experience many risky scenarios in the virtual world and learn how to avoid them. This paper introduces a serious game to educate children about traffic laws. Seven crucial traffic regulations for children when crossing the street are presented by two scenarios. The learning process is carried out during playing in three stages: pretest, test, and posttest. Children receive feedback regarding the suitability of their traffic behavior using the coins they acquire during the game. Both of the game's scenarios were found to be effective at helping players understand traffic laws, according to the pretest and posttest results. © 2023 IEEE.

In the field of engineering optimization design, there are many optimization problems with time-varying objective functions. Tracking motion optimization (TMO) and time domain Robust optimization (ROOT) are two widely used methods to solve this problem. The purpose of TMO is to find the optimal solution before the environment changes, while the purpose of ROOT is to find a solution that can adapt to changes over a long period of time. However, both TMO and ROOT approaches have some defects. First of all, the existing engineering optimization problems have constraints and will change with time. Second, in the optimizing environment, the noises in most environments will affect the candidates. Therefore, a dynamic constrained time-domain robust optimization algorithm (DCRO/SCNO) considering noises and switching costs is proposed in this paper. Switching cost and robustness are considered as multi-objective optimization, and the idea of double elite is introduced to divide the population into three groups to collaborate for the problem of non-robustness solutions in noisy environment. Benchmark experiments show that DCRO/SCNO can find non-dominant solutions in different noise environments, which confirms the validity of the dual elite idea. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper reports on an empirical study that investigated the effect of frequency on the acuity of spatial localization on the skin of the forearm, as well as differences in localizability at different locations on the forearm. Three actuators were positioned in a 3 × 1 array along the forearm, and two adjacent actuators were sequentially activated with a 100 ms interstimulus interval, followed by activation of one of the three actuators in random order. Participants were asked about the direction of the second stimulation relative to the first one, and whether it was perceived in the same location as the first, below, or above it. Three frequencies — 100Hz, 200Hz, and 250Hz — were used for the stimuli. Results show that the frequency of the stimulus has a negligible influence on accuracy when the amplitude is kept constant. However, significant differences in the localization accuracy were found at different parts of the forearm. This study provides valuable insights into the design of tactile displays for conveying information on the skin. It suggests that spatial resolution may be optimized by positioning the actuators appropriately, rather than by manipulating the frequency of the stimulus. Copyright © 2023 by ASME.

Developing ultra-low-power devices requires low-power components, algorithms, and communication protocols. For environmental monitoring along the supply chain, products may travel a long way from the distributor to the customer. In addition, extreme climatic circumstances, such as temperatures below 0°C, affect battery capacity. In order to monitor package's environment, it is crucial to ensure that all embedded system parts use as little energy as possible. This paper addresses how much power the SPI and I2C communication protocols use. These protocols are widely used in low-power embedded devices for sensor communication. Based on its results, this research article presented recommendations for developing ultra-low power embedded devices that use the SPI/I2C protocol. © 2023 MIPRO Croatian Society.

Most of the advances in artificial intelligence are based on understanding the function of different parts of the living organism's body. High complexity of some body parts, e.g., the brain, leads to using some abstractions for making intelligent models, which can make the models uninterpretable. This general process can be seen in the development of Deep Neural Networks (DNNs). Although DNNs are models with high performance, they have a black-box nature which makes them unreliable in some applications such as medicine. Fortunately, nature can again help to make DNN models explainable. The use of meaningful filters in the first layer of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) is a successful attempt in this field. The goal of this paper is to examine the use of some auditory filter models as CNN front-ends to make them interpretable and then to evaluate the resulting filter banks in the Speaker Identification (SID) task. Results confirm the previous knowledge about the filtering mechanism of the auditory system. This simple observation can lead to an abstract conclusion that making a complex learning model interpretable, specifically using simple elements inspired by nature, can disclose the hidden aspects of how the human body works. Moreover, replicating the essential functions of the human auditory system leads to better model performance. © 2023 IEEE.

In the field of engineering design, there is a class of constrained multi-objective optimization problems where the optimal solutions are often found at the constraint boundaries. However, effectively utilizing the infeasible solutions at these boundaries poses a challenge in solving these problems. To address this issue, this paper proposes a constrained multi-objective evolutionary algorithm based on an infeasible archive (CIA). CIA utilizes two populations: one considers both objectives and constraints, while the other ignores all constraints. Additionally, an archive is implemented to store non-dominated infeasible solutions. To improve the search coverage in the initial stage and accelerate convergence in the later stage, a strategy is implemented that reduces infeasible solutions using the infeasible archive. Furthermore, a neighborhood-based offspring generation mechanism is developed, which combines feasible and infeasible solutions to enhance the ability of the algorithm to explore constraint boundaries. Experimental results from three test suites demonstrate that the proposed algorithm performs competitively when compared to four representative algorithms. © 2023 IEEE.
