In terms of security and privacy,mobile ad-hoc network(MANET)continues to be in demand for additional debate and *** more MANET applications become data-oriented,implementing a secure and reliable data transfer protocol becomes a major concern in the ***,MANET’s lack of infrastructure,unpredictable topology,and restricted resources,as well as the lack of a previously permitted trust relationship among connected nodes,contribute to the attack detection burden.A novel detection approach is presented in this paper to classify passive and active black-hole *** proposed approach is based on the dipper throated optimization(DTO)algorithm,which presents a plausible path out of multiple paths for statistics transmission to boost MANETs’quality of service.A group of selected packet features will then be weighed by the DTO-based multi-layer perceptron(DTO-MLP),and these features are collected from nodes using the Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchical(LEACH)clustering *** is a powerful classifier and the DTO weight optimization method has a significant impact on improving the classification process by strengthening the weights of key features while suppressing the weights ofminor *** hybridmethod is primarily designed to combat active black-hole *** the LEACH clustering phase,however,can also detect passive black-hole *** effect of mobility variation on detection error and routing overhead is explored and evaluated using the suggested *** diverse mobility situations,the results demonstrate up to 97%detection accuracy and faster execution ***,the suggested approach uses an adjustable threshold value to make a correct conclusion regarding whether a node is malicious or benign.

This paper proposes a framework for real-time monitoring of the power consumption of distributed calculation on the nodes of the cluster. The framework allows to visualize and analyze the provider results based on the context information about the performed calculation. The first part of the framework is devoted to monitoring the power consumption during the execution of machine learning algorithms and the performance of NoSQL storage. The second part is dedicated to the testing of distributed data storage, called Scalable Distributed Two-Layered Data Structure (SD2DS). The results show that the framework can be used in the development of a management system that could schedule computations to take full advantage of renewable energy. Evolutionary Reinforcement Learning (ERL) that applying Evolutionary Algorithms (EAs) to optimize the weight parameters of Deep Neural Network (DNN) based policies has been widely regarded as an alternative to traditional reinforcement learning methods. However, the evaluation of the iteratively generated population usually requires a large amount of computational time and can be prohibitively expensive, which may potentially restrict the applicability of ERL. Surrogate is often used to reduce the computational burden of evaluation in EAs. Unfortunately, in ERL, each individual of policy usually represents millions of weights parameters of DNN. This high-dimensional representation of policy has introduced a great challenge to the application of surrogates into ERL to speed up training. This paper proposes a PE-SAERL Framework to at the first time enable surrogate-assisted evolutionary reinforcement learning via policy embedding (PE). Empirical results on 5 Atari games show that the proposed method can perform more efficiently than the four state-of-the-art algorithms. The training process is accelerated up to 7x on tested games, comparing to its counterpart without the surrogate and PE. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Deep Semantic and Attentive Network for Unsupervised Video Summarization

With the rapid growth of video data, video summarization is a promising approach to shorten a lengthy video into a compact version. Although supervised summarization approaches have achieved state-of-the-art performance, they require frame-level annotated labels. Such an annotation process is time-consuming and tedious. In this article, we propose a novel deep summarization framework named Deep Semantic and Attentive Network for Video Summarization (DSAVS) that can select the most semantically representative summary by minimizing the distance between video representation and text representation without any frame-level labels. Another challenge associated with video summarization tasks mainly originates from the difficulty of considering temporal information over a long time. Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) performs well for temporal dependencies modeling but does not work well with long video clips. Therefore, we introduce a self-attention mechanism into our summarization framework to capture the long-range temporal dependencies among the frames. Extensive experiments on two popular benchmark datasets, i.e., SumMe and TVSum, show that our proposed framework outperforms other state-of-the-art unsupervised approaches and even most supervised methods. © 2022 Association for Computing Machinery.

Anomaly detection is a popular research topic in Artificial Intelligence and has been widely applied in network security, financial fraud detection, and industrial equipment failure detection. Isolation forest based methods are the base algorithms to detect anomalies in these scenarios for their simplicity and efficiency, which has been further exploited with multi-folk trees and learning mechanisms to realize the optimal isolation forest for high detection accuracy. However, the optimal isolation forest is time-consuming with the learning mechanisms, resulting in the task failing of time-constrained applications. Moreover, the original optimal isolation forest fails to construct the optimal tree structure restricted by the time complexity. To address the above challenges, we propose an efficient anomaly detection method called EEIF, which realizes the real e-folk structure of the optimal isolation forest in our practical algorithm design. Specifically, we design a distribution that perfectly matches the e-branch theory to construct the optimal isolation forest. Then, we design an FR clustering scheme to achieve fast training of the isolation forest with learning to hash and provide related proofs of accuracy and efficiency. Besides, a parallel algorithm is integrated into our method to reduce prediction time. Finally, extensive experiments are conducted on a large amount of real-world datasets and the results demonstrate that our method significantly improves efficiency while ensuring effectiveness, compared with the state-of-the-art methods. © 2024 IEEE.

Quantum computing is progressing at a fast rate and there is a real threat that classical cryptographic methods can be compromised and therefore impact the security of blockchain networks. All of the ways used to secure blockchain like Rivest–Shamir–Adleman (RSA), Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) and Secure Hash Algorithm 256-bit (SHA256) are the characteristic of the traditional cryptographic techniques vulnerable to attack by quantum algorithms: Shor’s and Grover’s algorithms: can efficiently break asymmetric encryption and speed up brute force attacks. Because of this vulnerability, there exists a need to develop an advance quantum resilient blockchain framework to protect the decentralized ledgers from the future threats of the quantum. This research proposes Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) and Quantum Random Number Generation (QRNG) as a formidable architectural integration, to fortify security of blockchain. Classical encryption is replaced with PQC, QKD with secure key exchange by detecting eavesdropping, and QRNG with improving cryptographic randomness to remove the predictable key vulnerability. Only with a small loss of transaction efficiency, we increase transaction encryption accuracy, key exchange security, and resistance to quantum attacks. In this quantum enhanced blockchain design, the idea is to preserve the decentralization, transparency and security and at the same time overcome the future quantum threat. By going through rigorous analysis and comparative evaluation, we demonstrate that the approach saves blockchain networks from the emerging quantum risks to make sure that the decentralized finance, smart contracts and cross chain transactions. © (2025), (science and Information Organization). Anomaly detection in time series is challenging for machine learning due to the uncertainty and complex pattern in time series. In this paper, we propose a Kalman filter-based cycle-consistent adversarial learning framework (KFCGAN) for time series anomaly detection, assuming that the abnormal pattern prevents the model from reconstructing the original and filtered signals. Specifically, KFCGAN comprises a Kalman filter module and a cycle-consistent adversarial learning module that utilizes an autoencoder as its generator. Firstly, the Kalman filter module generates the filtered signals from the original signals as the target domain. Then, the forward direction of the cycleconsistent adversarial learning module learns the transformation of the original time series domain to the filtered time series domain. At the same time, the backward direction optimizes it by transforming the target domain to the original domain. Finally, anomaly detection can be modeled as the signal reconstruction problem between the original and target domains. The experimental results on five real-world datasets show that the proposed method outperforms the start-of-the-art, demonstrating that KFCGAN can effectively capture abnormal time series patterns. © 2024, J. Effective congestion control algorithms (CCAs) are crucial for the smooth operation of Internet communication infrastructure. CCAs adjust transmission rates based on congestion signals, optimizing resource utilization and user experience. However, existing studies, both rule-based and learning-based CCAs, often struggle with generalization and underperform when deployed in real-world environments. When applied to unseen network conditions, hand-crafted schemes or pre-trained models may experience significant performance degradation. To address this challenge, we propose MetaCon, a novel adaptive Internet congestion control approach based on meta-reinforcement learning. MetaCon leverages knowledge learned from prior scenarios to quickly adapt to new environments. Experimental results show that MetaCon outperforms existing algorithms by exhibiting superior generalization and achieving better transmission performance across a wide variety of network conditions. © 2025 IEEE.

Developing highly efficient oxygen evolution reaction(OER)catalysts for electrolytic water splitting is urgently desirable but remains a challenge due to sluggish kinetic process of water ***,we report a one-step electrodeposition strategy to prepare Ni(OH)2 modified with Ir single-atom catalysts(SACs)(Ir SACs/Ni(OH)2)on an electrically conductive substrate of three dimensional(3D)hierarchical porous nickel foam(HP-NF)as efficient OER *** HP-NF with abundant open pores can not only enable the full exposure of catalytically active sites but also facilitate the diffusion of electrolyte and release of gaseous oxygen *** optimal Ir SACs/Ni(OH)2@HP-NF exhibits a remarkable catalytic performance and outstanding stability for the OER activity in 1.0 M KOH alkaline media,delivering a low overpotential of~223 mV at a current density of 10 mA·cm-2 and a low Tafel plot of 58 mV·*** characterizations together with control electrochemical experiments demonstrated that the superior activity and robust stability of Ir SACs/Ni(OH)2@HP-NF for OER are originated from the highly distributed and exposed Ir SACs and 3D interconnected pores of HP-NF with high electric conductivity.
