This paper suggests a base-station antenna unit designed for 2G/3G/LTE frequencies, featuring ±45° polarization, high gain, and low cross-polarization. The antenna is excited by two circular arc probes and uses two orthogonal rectangular ring dipoles to achieve a wider bandwidth. In order to achieve higher gain and better cross-polarization level, four parasitic elements are added around the dual dipole. The simulation results show that |S 11 |<10 dB in 1.7-3.0 GHz(55.3%). Moreover, the antenna obtains better port isolation (>27 dB), higher gain (9.6±1.4 dBi), front-to-back ratio(>18 dB) and a beamwidth of 57.5±7.5° in the desired bandwidth range. The antenna can be used in the broadband base station of the communication system.

An "I"-shaped polarization conversion unit was developed in this study, capable of functioning at a frequency of 12 GHz. The design involved rotating metal patches on the unit by 90 degrees, resulting in an alternative unit with the same reflection coefficient and a phase difference of 180°. The final step involved incorporating choke rings around the "I"-shape to provide filtering functionality. Based on this, a high-gain filtering reflective array consisting of 20×20 proposed antenna unit was constructed. At 12 GHz, the attained gain was 24.7 dBi, and the radiation patterns for both H-plane and V-plane are demonstrated to be stable enough.

In conventional few-shot learning approaches, masked image modeling paradigms such as masked autoencoders are typically used as feature extractors, followed by classifiers. Traditional masked autoencoders depend on standard transformers for encoding, neglecting the inherent inductive biases of CNNs, which are pivotal for few-shot learning efficiency. In response, this paper introduces the Modernized Convolutional Network with Efficient Channel Attention (ConvNeXt-ECA), a effective encoder for masked autoencoders that modernizes the vanilla ResNet through the integration of transformer-inspired elements. This modernization process emphasizes merging the architectural advantages of transformers with the inductive biases inherent in CNNs, upgrading crucial aspects of ResNet, including computation stages, the design of residual blocks, activation functions, and channel interaction ***, this study proposes an innovative few-shot learning classifier that combines masked autoencoders with ConvNeXt-ECA and NeXtVLAD. Our classifier utilizes strategic masking operations and soft focal loss to address supervision bias and biases towards simple features, respectively. In our experiments, the proposed methods benchmarks against top existing methods across five standard few-shot learning datasets, consistently outperforming rival models and demonstrating unmatched performance on each *** source code will be made publicly available. © 2024, The Authors. A low-profile, wideband linearly-polarization array antenna based on broadband E-shaped folded strip elements is proposed. The antenna unit consists of a 2×2 array of E-shaped folded strip elements and four metalized through-holes. The microstrip line, located on the underside of an extremely thin dielectric substrate, utilizes a cross-shaped slot for its coupled feeding mechanism. This configuration markedly enhances the compatibility with circuits at millimeter-wave frequencies and also offers the advantage of a low-profile design. The simulated performance of the antenna module shows an impedance bandwidth covering 71%, extending from 21.43 GHz to 45 GHz, along with a peak gain of 5.925 dBi. Moreover, it maintains a cross-polarization discrimination level that is greater than 25 dB. To demonstrate the wideband and high-gain characteristics, a 2 × 2 array of linearly polarized antennas has been crafted, featuring a straightforward microstrip feed system and eliminating the necessity for an extra enclosure made of dielectric material. The simulated data reveal commendable characteristics regarding impedance correlation, gain, and the patterns of radiation, rendering the array well-suited for deployment in millimeter-wave applications designated as N259 and N260.

This study presents a dipper-throated-based ant colony optimization (DTACO) with the Seasonal Auto-Regressive Integrated Moving Average with eXogenous factor (SARIMAX) model (DTACO+SARIMAX) to forecast monkeypox cases. The work optimizes the SARIMAX model using grid search cross-validation and fine-tunes its hyperparameters using DTACO to improve prediction accuracy. The suggested model's consistency and accuracy are considerable compared to previous studies. Comparisons with state-of-the-art models validate the proposed model's predictions. DTACO+SARIMAX can be used to control disease and monitor monkeypox. Healthcare organizations and governments can better manage and track the pandemic's course by offering accurate predictions, reducing public panic, and enabling effective pandemic planning. The Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Wilcoxon signed-rank tests are conducted on the proposed DTACO-SARIMAX model and compared models.

Industrial systems require reliable predictive maintenance strategies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime. Existing studies rely on heuristic models which may struggle to capture complex temporal dependencies. This paper introduces an integrated framework that leverages the capabilities of the Transformer and Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) algorithms to optimize system maintenance actions. Our approach employs the Transformer model to effectively capture complex temporal patterns in IoT sensor data, thus accurately predicting the Remaining Useful Life (RUL) of equipment. Additionally, the DRL component of our framework provides cost-effective and timely maintenance recommendations. Numerous experiments conducted on the NASA C-MPASS dataset demonstrate that our approach has a performance similar to the ground-truth results and could be obviously better than the baseline methods in terms of RUL prediction accuracy as the time cycle increases. Additionally, experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of optimizing maintenance actions. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In this article, a polarization-reconfigurable antenna based on magneto-electric (ME) dipoles is proposed. This antenna has three polarized states: linear polarization (LP), right-hand circular polarization (RHCP), and left-hand circular polarization (LHCP), which are mainly achieved through the cross strips with a bridge structure on top of the ME dipole. By changing the on/off states of diodes D1 and D2, the connections of the cross strips can be altered, thereby changing the surface current on the horizontal patches to achieve polarization reconfiguration. The proposed antenna is fed through a microstrip line and an H-shaped slot. The selected operating frequency band is 2.2-2.7 GHz. In all states, the bandwidth and 3-dB axial ratio bandwidth cover the operating band, and the gain is greater than 7 dBi within the operating band. This indicates that the antenna achieves polarization reconfiguration while maintaining good overall performance. Moreover, the reconfiguration method using diodes is easy to manufacture, making its application in wireless communication systems feasible.

In the last three years, a new partner has emerged for teachers and educators in the field of education. The mushrooming of applications based on large language models has greatly shaped the educational development fields of the present era. The use of various AI applications has become commonplace among students and teachers alike. Many questions are being raised by researchers in this field. What does the rapid development of AI applications bring to the field of pedagogy? Should the products of such applications be compared with human performance? The form presented in this thesis seeks to answer similar questions. What is the impact of frequent use of these applications on the literacy level of individuals? In which areas do students tend to use these applications? The results indicate that half of the students believe their literacy levels will decrease with the mass emergence of AI applications, while 36% feel it will not change. However, 88 % of students have already dealt with AI-based applications, with 64 % using them several times or more, suggesting a high level of integration into their educational processes.
