Self-powered broadband photodetectors utilizing 2D transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) are highly promising due to their remarkable light absorption capabilities and high sensitivity, making them suitable for applications such as military surveillance and wireless light detection systems. However, their performance is constrained by inadequate absorption, suboptimal charge carrier separation, and slow response times. In response to these limitations, the study fabricates a self-powered photodetector employing a heterostructure composed of WS2 nanoparticles anchored to CVD-synthesized MoS2, operating within the visible to near-infrared spectrum. The device demonstrates a responsivity of 283 mA W−1 and a detectivity 6.44 × 1012 Jones, alongside an external quantum efficiency of 61% under exposure of 580 nm. In comparison to pristine MoS2, the MoS2-WS2 photodetector exhibited approximately 12-fold and 11-fold enhancements in responsivity and detectivity, respectively, in addition to fast response time of ≈375 µs and 6 ms. Additionally, density functional theory (DFT) calculations are used to analyze the increase in dark current that is observed following WS₂ nanoparticle anchored on MoS₂. This investigation highlights the potential of 2D heterostructures in the development of high-performance broadband photodetectors, which offer improved responsivity, stability, and self-powered operation for advanced optoelectronic applications. © 2025 Wiley-VCH GmbH.

Predictive Protective Control for Flexible Energy System

The paper deals with the predictive control applied to flexible cogeneration energy system (FES). The FES was designed and developed by the VITKOVICE POWER ENGINEERING joint-stock company and represents a new solution of decentralized cogeneration energy sources. In FES, the heating medium is flue gas generated by combustion of a solid fuel. The heated medium is power gas, which is a gas mixture of air and water steam. Power gas is superheated in the main heat exchanger and led to gas turbines. To protect the main heat exchanger against damage by overheating, the novel predictive protective control based on the mathematical model of exchanger was developed. The paper describes the principle, the design and simulation of the predictive protective method applied to main heat exchanger of FES. © 2018

Inverse problems for identification of memory kernels in general linear heat flow are reduced to systems of two nonlinear convolution equations of the first kind. These equations in turn are transformed to such ones of the second kind under certain regularity assumptions. In this way global in time existence, uniqueness and stability results for the inverse problems are proved.

At present,the prevalence of diabetes is increasing because the human body cannot metabolize the glucose *** prediction of diabetes patients is an important research *** researchers have proposed techniques to predict this disease through data mining and machine learning *** prediction,feature selection is a key concept in ***,the features that are relevant to the disease are used for *** condition improves the prediction *** the right features in the whole feature set is a complicated process,and many researchers are concentrating on it to produce a predictive model with high *** this work,a wrapper-based feature selection method called recursive feature elimination is combined with ridge regression(L2)to form a hybrid L2 regulated feature selection algorithm for overcoming the overfitting problem of data *** is a major problem in feature selection,where the new data are unfit to the model because the training data are *** regression is mainly used to overcome the overfitting *** features are selected by using the proposed feature selection method,and random forest classifier is used to classify the data on the basis of the selected *** work uses the Pima Indians Diabetes data set,and the evaluated results are compared with the existing algorithms to prove the accuracy of the proposed *** accuracy of the proposed algorithm in predicting diabetes is 100%,and its area under the curve is 97%.The proposed algorithm outperforms existing algorithms.

This paper discusses the reduction of background noise in an industrial environment to extend *** the Industry 4.0 era,the mass development of voice control(speech recognition)in various industrial applications is possible,especially as related to augmented reality(such as hands-free control via voice commands).As Industry 4.0 relies heavily on radiofrequency technologies,some brief insight into this problem is provided,including the Internet of things(IoT)and 5G *** study was carried out in cooperation with the industrial partner Brose CZ spol.s.r.o.,where sound recordings were made to produce a *** experimental environment comprised three workplaces with background noise above 100 dB,consisting of a laser/magnetic welder and a press.A virtual device was developed from a given dataset in order to test selected commands from a commercial speech recognizer from *** tested a hybrid algorithm for noise reduction and its impact on voice command recognition *** virtual devices,the study was carried out on large speakers with 20 participants(10 men and 10 women).The experiments included a large number of repetitions(100 times for each command under different noise conditions).Statistical results confirmed the efficiency of the tested *** welding environment efficiency was 27%before applied filtering,76%using the least mean square(LMS)algorithm,and 79%using LMS+independent component analysis(ICA).Magnetic welding environment efficiency was 24%before applied filtering,70%with LMS,and 75%with LMS+*** workplace environment efficiency showed no success before applied filtering,was 52%with LMS,and was 54%with LMS+ICA.

VITKOVICE POWER ENGINEERING joint-stock company designs and constructs the decentralized flexible energy cogeneration system (FES) with combined Brayton - Rankine cycle which represents a new solution of decentralized cogeneration energy sources. In FES, the heating medium is flue gas generated by combustion of a solid fuel. The heated medium is power gas, which is a gas mixture of air and water steam. Power gas is superheated in the main heat exchanger (MHE) and is led to the gas turbine that drives the asynchronous generator. In this paper, the principle of FES is briefly described. The protective control which prevents the damage of MHE by overheating is discussed. The dynamics of the MHE with respect to dynamics of protective control is presented. © 2016

We prove that ß is minmax, if and only if the family ß^# = {p ß βX : {X\B : B ϵ ß} ᶜ p} consists of ultrafilters which are pairwise non-isomorphic via ß-preserving bijections of X. In addition, we construct a minmax bornology B on ω such that the set B^# is infinite. In recent years problem of identifying terrorist threat has become a priority topic for government and military organizations. We base our ideas on new concepts of indirect association analysis to extract useful information for terrorist threat indication. Method introduces original approach to knowledge representation as a set of ontologies and semantic network, which are then processed by the inference algorithms and structure graph analysis. Described models consist of experience gathered from intelligence experts and several open Internet knowledge systems such as Global Terrorism Database, Profiles in Terror knowledge base. We managed to extract core information from several ontologies and fuse them into one domain model aimed to provide basis for indirect associations identification method. © 2009 Springer Berlin Heidelberg.
