A Double Auction for Charging Scheduling among Vehicles Using DAG-Blockchains

Electric Vehicles (EVs) are becoming more and more popular in our daily life, which replaces traditional fuel vehicles to reduce carbon emissions and protect the environment. EVs need to be charged, but the number of charging piles in a Charging Station (CS) is limited and charging is usually more time-consuming than fueling. According to this scenario, we propose a secure and efficient charging scheduling system based on a Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG)-blockchain and double auction mechanism. In a smart area, it attempts to assign EVs to the available CSs in the light of their submitted charging requests and status information. First, we design a lightweight charging scheduling framework that integrates DAG-blockchain and modern cryptography technology to ensure security and scalability during performing scheduling and completing tradings. In this process, a constrained multi-item double auction problem is formulated because of the limited charging resources in a CS, which motivates EVs and CSs in this area to participate in the market based on their preferences and statuses. Due to this constraint, our problem is more complicated and harder to achieve truthfulness as well as system efficiency compared to the existing double auction model. To adapt to it, we propose two algorithms, namely Truthful Mechanism for Charging (TMC) and Efficient Mechanism for Charging (EMC), to determine an assignment between EVs and CSs and pricing strategies. In this paper we consider an abstract class of time-dependent quasi variational-hemivariational inequalities which involves history-dependent operators and a set of unilateral constraints. First, we establish the existence and uniqueness of solution by using a recent result for elliptic variational-hemivariational inequalities in reflexive Banach spaces combined with a fixed-point principle for history-dependent operators. Then, we apply the abstract result to show the unique weak solvability to a quasistatic viscoelastic frictional contact problem. Objective: The work introduces Ε-insensitive distance based approach to simplification (by reducing the rules number) of the fuzzy classifier rule base. To obtain premises of the initial rules, a modified clustering with pairs of Ε-hyperballs procedure is used. The goal of the presented solutions is to achieve high quality support for fetal distress assessment, based on cardiotocographic (CTG) signals classification with a reduced number of fuzzy rules. Methods: In the presented rule base simplification solution, two rules are considered similar (or contradictory) when the distances between their premises do not exceed the assumed value of Ε. The proposed simplification process consists of two phases: the first with combining similar rules into representative rules, and the second (optional) with the removal of contradictory rules. In addition, two methods of determining conclusions for representative rules are considered: a representative rule retains the original (unchanged) conclusion, or from the conclusions of similar rules the one with the highest absolute value is chosen. In the introduced clustering with pairs of Ε-hyperballs the sizes of object classes are taken into account, to reduce the potential adverse impact of the unbalanced classes in the considered research material. In experiments, two reference assessments for CTG signals based on the retrospective fetal state evaluation were considered. Results and conclusions: In the two-stage classification, the modified clustering outperformed the original procedure in terms of classification sensitivity and the QI index being the geometric mean of sensitivity and specificity. Among the examined rule base simplification methods, we consider the best to be the one based only on combining similar rules, with the unchanged value of conclusion for a representative rule. In this paper we investigate an evolution problem (SDQHVI) which constitutes of the second order differential inclusion driven by a quasi-variational–hemivariational inequality (QHVI) with perturbation operator in Banach spaces. Unlike the existing literature on differential inclusions, on the one hand, the second order differential operator is not assumed to be compact;on the other hand, the solvability of the inequality is proved under non-coercive condition. More precisely, first, it is shown that the solution set of the QHVI with perturbation operator is nonempty, bounded, closed and convex under the KKM theorem and the Minty formulation. Then, an associated multivalued map with the solution set of the QHVI with perturbation operator is introduced, and we prove that it is upper semicontinuous and measurable. Finally, by utilizing Kakutani–Fan–Glicksberg fixed point theorem, a weak topology technique and properties of strong continuous cosine operators, we prove the existence of mild solutions for SDQHVI. © 2023 Elsevier Ltd

In this paper, we consider a new kind of evolution multivalued quasi-variational inequalities with feedback effect and a nonlinear bifunction which contain several (evolution) quasi-variational/hemivariational inequalities as special cases. The main contribution of this paper is twofold. The first goal is to establish a novel framework for proving the existence of solutions and the compactness of solution set to the evolution multivalued quasi-variational inequalities, under quite mild assumptions. Whereas, the second contribution is to introduce and study a nonlinear and nonsmooth optimal control problem governed by an evolution multivalued quasi-variational inequality, and then to obtain the sufficient conditions for guaranteeing the solvability of the nonlinear and nonsmooth optimal control problem under consideration. Such nonlinear and nonsmooth optimal control problem could as a useful model to explore the simultaneous distributed-boundary optimal control problems driven by evolution multivalued quasi-variational inequalities, and optimal parameters identification for evolution multivalued quasi-variational inequalities. Although detection of the driver fatigue using a single electroencephalography (EEG) channel has been addressed in literature, the gender differentiation for applicability of the model has not been investigated heretofore. Motivated accordingly, we address the detection of driver fatigue based the gender-segregated datasets, where each of them contains 8 subjects. After splitting the EEG signal into its sub-bands (delta, theta, alpha, beta, and gamma) using discrete wavelet transform, the log energy entropy of each band is computed to form the feature vector. Afterwards, the feature vector is randomly split into 50% for training and 50% for the unseen testing, and fed to a support vector machine model. When comparing the classification results of fatigue driving detection between the gender segregated and non-gender segregated datasets, the former achieved the accuracy 78% and 77% for male and female subjects, respectively, than the latter (71%). The obtained results show the importance of gender-specification for the driver fatigue detection.

In this paper we consider a mixed boundary value problem with a nonhomogeneous, nonlinear differential operator (called double phase operator), a nonlinear convection term (a reaction term depending on the gradient), three multivalued terms and an implicit obstacle constraint. Under very general assumptions on the data, we prove that the solution set of such implicit obstacle problem is nonempty (so there is at least one solution) and weakly compact. The proof of our main result uses the Kakutani-Ky Fan fixed point theorem for multivalued operators along with the theory of nonsmooth analysis and variational methods for pseudomonotone operators. Reduced biquaternions (RBs), as an extension of complex numbers, have demonstrated exceptional capabilities in digital signal and image processing. They not only excel particularly in encoding color information but also feature multiplicative commutativity, which simplify the theoretical analysis of related algorithms. Concurrently, tensor completion methods based on tensor ring decomposition in the real domain have been proven effective in exploiting low-rank structures. Building upon these insights, this paper first introduces the Reduced Biquaternion Tensor Ring (RBTR) decomposition, along with a detailed exposition of the corresponding algorithm RBTR-SVD. Leveraging RBTR decomposition, we propose a novel low-rank tensor completion algorithm RBTR-TV integrating RBTR rank with Total Variation (TV) regularization to optimize the process. In color image completion tasks, our method exhibits remarkable stability and robustness, outperforming traditional methods, especially if there are a lot of missing data in the image. © 2024, The Authors.
