Unveiling the Superiority of Unsupervised Learning on GPU Cryptojacking Detection: Practice on Magnetic Side Channel-based Mechanism

Ample profits of GPU cryptojacking attract hackers to recklessly invade victims’ devices, for completing specific cryptocurrency mining tasks. Such malicious invasion undoubtedly obstructs normal device usage and wastes computation resources. To resist the threat of GPU cryptojacking, existing works aim to timely detect and clear away it, by distinguishing the dissimilitude between it and legitimate applications. However, these detection mechanisms inappropriately rely on two conflict cornerstones, manifested in leveraging mutable samples of illegitimate cryptojacking to design supervision-based detection models requiring samples with stable patterns. This limitation compromises the practicability of existing detection mechanisms in the face of mutable cryptojacking samples. To fill the gap, we explore the superiority of unsupervised learning in handling this issue and further propose an unsupervised manner-enabled detection mechanism named MagInspector, only using legitimate applications’ magnetic signatures from GPU side channels for model construction. MagInspector innovates in training an unsupervised autoencoder network by an adversarial mode that well learns the stable signature patterns of legitimate applications, while incompatible with mutable cryptojacking ones. In the process of model training, we elaborately extract mutual energy cumulation distribution features to represent legitimate applications to overcome the impact of their inter-type differences. Meanwhile, a locality sensitive hashing-driven outlier removal algorithm is designed to enhance MagInspector’s robustness to the noise samples. Finally, extensive experiments are conducted on GPUs covering four generations of common NVIDIA architectures and two generations of AMD architectures;the results show that applying MagInspector to mutable cryptojacking signature detection achieves a significant average accuracy improvement of 25.5% and 17.8%, respectively. © 2005-2012 IEEE.

CNN-Based Multi-Output and Multi-Task Regression for Supershape Reconstruction from 3D Point Clouds

In a number of industries, including computer graphics, robotics, and medical imaging, three-dimensional reconstruction is essential. In this research, a CNN-based Multi-output and Multi-Task Regressor with deep learning capabilities is proposed for three-dimensional object reconstruction from 3D point cloud. Our approach is grounded in the original Point Net architecture, which addresses the difficulties associated with convolution when applied to point clouds. Firstly, this paper is modified using a Multi-Output Regressor to accurately recreate Super forms from 3D point clouds. Using this method, we first extract features from the 3D point cloud using Point Net. After that, a Multi-Output Regressor receives these data and uses them to anticipate the Super shape parameters needed to reconstruct the shape. Taking in the data, the Multi-Output Regressor retrieved characteristics from Point Net and simultaneously predicts several outcomes. Second, a Multi-Task Regressor is used to modify the Point Net. The network gains from the capacity to transfer knowledge from one task to another, improving the model's overall performance. The model would forecast the ten parameters needed to create the shape in the case of rebuilding Super shapes. The test findings were better than expected;they are intriguing in terms of prediction accuracy and cost, and they update the result by 80%, which is a good accomplishment for the study. © 2025 Slovene Society Informatika. Video forgery is one of the most serious problems affecting the credibility and reliability of video content. Therefore, detecting video forgery presents a major challenge for researchers due to the diversity of forgery types, the modernity of the programs used in forgery operations, and the abundance of information and content present in videos. The seriousness of this issue arises from the widespread use of videos in vital fields that require very high accuracy with no room for doubt or error, such as courtrooms, journalism, and others. Copy-move forgery is one of the most common and dangerous types of video forgery because of the difficulty in identifying it with the naked eye and the great diversity of forgery techniques involved in this particular type. One of the biggest challenges researchers have faced in the past is the complexity of the steps required to detect forgery in videos, leading to significant computational complexity and time consumption. The proposed method also aims to achieve better results than previous methods while reducing computational operations. Ultimately, forgery is detected with great efficiency. Compared to previous methods used for detecting copy-move forgery in the Rewind dataset, the proposed method achieves the highest F1, reaching 0.86, with a significant difference of 0.13 compared to the best result of the previous methods. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2025.

This paper represents that one of the critical subfields of NLP, SA applies DL techniques to analyze the feelings expressed in text, image, and voice context. As new technology of Web 2.0 emerges, there are many opportunities and challenges because of the large amount of content generated from blogs, forums, social networking sites, etc. This work explores the development of DL-based SA and notes that enhancements have been made primarily on the document, sentence, phrase, as well as aspect levels. Ambiguity, sarcasm, and negation are also discussed, as well as specific domain and multimodal aspects. The work shows that it might be possible to transition to semi-supervised, and unsupervised learning to overcome real-world data limitations and offers emergent prospects in the real-time analysis, domain fine-tuning, and data enhancement. The inspiration for future research is offered by the multimodal sentiment analysis and the enhancement of the DL architectures. © 2025 IEEE.

Non-Destructive Detection of Fillet Fish Quality Using MQ135 Gas Sensor and Neutrosophic Logic-Enhanced System

This paper demonstrates the feasibility of using an electronic nose to assess fish quality by analyzing air quality and examining volatile organic compounds (VOCs) alongside physical variables, with pH, protein content, and VOCs serving as chemical reference points. Artificial intelligence algorithms were employed to predict quality and calculate regression coefficients. Using the reference neural network algorithm based on chemical and physical compounds, regression coefficients (R values) achieved were 0.99, 0.98, and 0.97, respectively. Additionally, ANFIS (Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System) produced R values of 0.99, 0.85, and 0.98. Both fuzzy logic and ANFIS proved effective for predicting fish quality. Image processing techniques, including histogram analysis, color mapping, and edge detection, were also applied to assess fish quality. To enhance the inference process, Neutrosophic Logic-Enhanced Fuzzy Logic Systems were utilized, addressing uncertainty and imprecision in fish quality assessment. Neutrosophic logic combines fuzzy logic's partial truth with indeterminacy, represented by three membership functions: truth, indeterminacy, and falsity. Neutrosophic fuzzy inference integrates steps like neutrosophication, rule evaluation, aggregation, and defuzzification, ensuring improved expressiveness and fidelity. For instance, neutrosophic fuzzy rules evaluated fish freshness and appearance to determine quality ratings such as poor, good, or excellent. This integration enhances decision-making by accurately modeling complex real-world uncertainties. These methods, combining electronic nose technology, artificial intelligence, and neutrosophic inference, provide a robust, non-destructive, and cost-effective approach to detecting spoilage in fillet fish. © 2025, University of New Mexico. Auto-3D-house Design from Structured User Requirements

We study the task of automated house design,which aims to automatically generate 3D houses from user ***,in the automatic system,it is non-trivial due to the intrinsic complexity of house designing:1)the understanding of user requirements,where the users can hardly provide high-quality requirements without any professional knowledge;2)the design of house plan,which mainly focuses on how to capture the effective information from user *** address the above issues,we propose an automatic house design framework,called auto-3D-house design(A3HD).Unlike the previous works that consider the user requirements in an unstructured way(e.g.,natural language),we carefully design a structured list that divides the requirements into three parts(i.e.,layout,outline,and style),which focus on the attributes of rooms,the outline of the building,and the style of decoration,*** the processing of architects,we construct a bubble diagram(i.e.,graph)that covers the rooms′attributes and relations under the constraint of *** addition,we take each outline as a combination of points and orders,ensuring that it can represent the outlines with arbitrary ***,we propose a graph feature generation module(GFGM)to capture layout features from the bubble diagrams and an outline feature generation module(OFGM)for outline ***,we render 3D houses according to the given style requirements in a rule-based *** on two benchmark datasets(i.e.,RPLAN and T3HM)demonstrate the effectiveness of our A3HD in terms of both quantitative and qualitative evaluation metrics.

CNN-Transformer Based Cooperative Spectrum Sensing in Cognitive Radio Networks

Recently, deep learning (DL)-based data-driven spectrum sensing has attracted much attention due to its powerful capabilities to exploit underlying signal features. Existing DL-based cooperative spectrum sensing (CSS) detectors usually extract the signal features from each secondary user (SU) individually, followed by feature fusion at a central fusion center (FC). However, this cannot extract correlation features across SUs. To address this limitation, this work proposes a CNN-Transformer neural network to exploit the correlations among the received signals across and within SUs. Leveraging the CNN-Transformer, we propose a posteriori probability ratio detector, which is optimal for the binary hypothesis testing problem under the Neyman-Pearson criterion. Moreover, unlike most DL-based CSS detectors, the proposed detector considers imperfect and independent reporting channels between SUs and the FC, and exploits the temporal correlation of signals among neighboring samples. Numerical results are provided to demonstrate the superior performance of the proposed detector, showing an improvement of approximately 6 dB over traditional model-driven energy detectors. Moreover, the proposed detector improves the detection probability to 0.99 from 0.88 of data-driven detectors under Rician fading channels. © 2012 IEEE.

Optimizing crowd evacuation: evaluation of strategies for safety and efficiency

Predicting and controlling crowd dynamics in emergencies is one of the main objectives of simulated emergency exercises. However, during emergency exercises, there is often a lack of sense of danger by the actors involved and concerns about exposing real people to potentially dangerous environments. These problems impose limitations in running an emergency drill, harming the collection of valuable information for posterior analysis and decision-making. This work aims to mitigate these problems by using Agent Based Modelling (ABM) simulator to deepen the comprehension of human actions when exposed to a sudden variation in extensive crowded environmental conditions and how evacuation strategies affect evacuation performance. To assess the impact of the evacuation strategy employed, we propose a modified informed leader-flowing approach and compare it with common evacuation strategies in a simulated environment, replicating stadium benches with narrow corridors leading to different exit points. The objective is to determine the impact of each set of configurations and evacuation strategies and compare them against other established ones. Our experiments determined that agents following the crowd generally lead to a higher number of victims due to the rise of herding phenomena near the exits, which was significantly reduced when agents were guided towards the exit via knowing the exit beforehand or following leader agent with real-time information regarding exit location and exit current state, proving that relevant and controlled information in combination with Follow Leader strategies can be crucial in an emergency evacuation scenario with limited evacuation exit capabi and distribution. © The Author(s) 2024.

This paper provides a detailed comparison of traditional networking architectures and Software Defined Networking (SDN) approaches, with a focus on bandwidth optimization and traffic management. Simulations were conducted under various networking scenarios, utilizing Cisco Packet Tracer for traditional networks and Mininet with the OpenDaylight (ODL) controller for SDN. The evaluated scenarios included single, dual, and triple PC setups, as well as high-Traffic conditions. Traditional networks demonstrated packet loss rates of up to 5%, limited bandwidth utilization (~2.443%), and increasing latency as more devices were added. In contrast, SDN-based setups showed no packet loss and significantly higher bandwidth utilization, reaching up to 94.478%. This study highlights the potential of SDN to enhance network efficiency and scalability, addressing a gap in the literature through scenario-based comparative analysis. Future research directions include exploring large-scale topologies, security enhancements, and advanced optimization techniques. © 2025 IEEE.

Enabling Ultralow-Latency Services with Ubiquitous Mobility by Means of a Compact Network Architecture

With the rapid development of emerging services such as cellular vehicle-to-everything and immersive video service, network connections have further evolved from tangible physical connections to intangible virtual connections such as content, services, and computing resources, and the application scenarios have become more abundant. The mobile ultra-service, which is characterized by ultra-low latency, ultra-high reliability, and ubiquitous mobility, is becoming one of the most representative traffic types. However, the existing mobile network architecture has not evolved sufficiently to meet the specific requirements of these mobile ultra-services, the mobility anchors introduce unnecessary node and link latency, leaving space for further optimization. A compact network architecture (ComArch) is proposed in this paper for ultralow-latency services with ubiquitous mobility. ComArch is designed with a mapping control plane and a generalized forwarding plane to collaboratively implement packet forwarding in mobile scenarios. The generalized forwarding plane handles packet forwarding, while the mapping control plane manages terminals’ identifier and locator mapping entries. The node latency introduced by mobility anchors is eliminated, and an efficient routing scheme is proposed to find the optimal mandatory nodes in the forwarding path, thereby reducing unnecessary link latency. Experimental results show that ComArch can effectively reduce end-to-end delay while saving resources. © 2002-2012 IEEE.
