Billions of Muslims across the globe consider Madinah in Saudi Arabia to be a holy city, thus it attracts millions of visitors every year. Therefore, cases of overcrowding, slow arrival of emergency services, and increased danger to life, can be regular occurrences if not managed efficiently. Consequently, this study aimed to address these abovementioned factors via the utilisation of many tools and mechanisms including cameras, image processing, tracking system, Artificial intelligence hubs, Network Data, Mobile- enabled internet of things sensors etc., as well as data from previous studies and Saudi government agencies. As a result, four main components were realised in the process of creating our proposed framework: control and analysis of traffic signals, control and analysis of human crowding, possessing smart emergency services in real time, and securing data through its collection, storage, and sharing. The combination of all four components fulfils the goals of this research and provides a more robust and efficient environment via improved coordination between different government departments in Madinah, effective emergency services, and improved speed of decision-making, which saves lives in cases of emergency situations where emergency services can attend to the points of concern efficiently and prevents deaths in events of stampedes via the appropriate control and management of crowds. © 2023 Bharati Vidyapeeth, New Delhi.

Resources in grid systems are heterogeneous, geographically distributed, belong to different administrative domains and apply different management policies. Matchmaking and bidding based are two resource management models in grid systems. This paper presents the evolution of the bidding based grid resource selection mechanisms to illustrate the enhancement occurred in the bidding based process and also to highlight the main aspects and issues related to the area of grid resource management. Moreover, this paper presents a new resource management architecture to optimize the process of resource selection in the grid environment in terms of efficiency and effectiveness. © 2011 IEEE.

DANA is an e-money application that was inaugurated at the end of 2018, because it includes new applications, an evaluation is needed to compete with its predecessors. The user's assessment of the performance of the application are representing user satisfaction. This evaluation aims to develop recommendations for improvement to this application. The evaluation was done using the End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) method using 6 variables. Data obtained from a sample of 349 respondents using a questionnaire. According to the results of the evaluation carried out stated that user satisfaction in the content variable, format, ease of use and user satisfaction is included in the High category, which means that the user feels satisfied with the DANA application if it is measured by the variable. Meanwhile, accuracy and timeliness variable are included in the Low category, which means that users feel less satisfied with the DANA application if measured from the variable. The recommendation given in this study is to improve several aspects of the accuracy and timeliness variables so that users are satisfied with the services provided by the DANA application. © 2019 IEEE.

Vehicular Ad hoc Network (VANET) is a special type of Intelligent Transport system (ITS), The design of routing protocols in VANETs is important and necessary issue for support the smart ITS. The key difference of VANET and MANET is the special mobility pattern and rapidly changeable topology. Existing routing protocols of MANET are not suitable for VANET. This paper proposes SD-AOMDV as VANET routing protocol. SD-AOMD improves the most important on demand multipath routing protocol AOMDV to suit VANET characteristics. SD-AOMDV add the mobility parameters: speed and direction to hop count as new AOMDV routing metric to select next hop during the rout discovery phase. Simulation results show that SD-AOMDV achieves better performance. © 2012 IEEE.

These days, when we want to get the relevant and useful information on political issues from the web, it is important for the Internet users to understand the current political situations in the country. Most of Internet users are using applications like web mining system in order to help them in finding all relevant information available in the political weblog. Based on this problem, we have developed a web mining system called WMAIS (web mining using Artificial Immune system). The objective of the WMAIS is to recommend the relevant and interesting information on political issues in Malaysia through political weblogs to the users. From the experiment that have been done using statistic tool called Student T-test, it shows that by using the term frequency scheme in WMAIS, it has managed to recommend relevant and interesting information through political weblogs to the user. © 2010 ACM.

The entire world encounters a significant problem which is food availability. 'Zero-hunger' is the second Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) of the goals established by the United Nations in 2015. With the increasing number of people and various factors affecting food availability such as climate and country-based food production rate, food forecasting models have become increasingly essential. However, traditional forecasting techniques are limited in dealing with the data and identifying the relationships between them within a specific timestamp. This paper proposes a framework for an intelligent food availability forecasting model built using deep learning techniques and based on a temporal knowledge graph where different timestamps are taken into consideration. The proposed framework helps in enhancing and overcoming the challenges and limitations of the recent forecasting techniques leading to a dynamic, scalable, intelligent forecasting model. © 2024 IEEE.

Objective Video Quality Measurement (VQM) overcomes inefficiency of subjective Video Quality Assessment (VQA) in time and resources of survey. It uses video attributes such as video signal, noise signal, and encoder parameters to assess user-perceived quality. Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) as one of objective VQM has been widely used to measure video quality. However, this conventional PSNR demonstrates inaccuracy of measurement while applied to measure video stream over wireless and mobile network. It is due to packet loss issue in the wireless and mobile network. This paper discusses evaluation of MPSNR as preexisting solution for this issue. In this paper, a concept of dynamic window size is used to improve accuracy of frame lost detection. The concept is named Aligned-PSNR (APSNR). An experiment is conducted to evaluate accuracy of the APSNR. The result is benchmarked with conventional PSNR based on Pearson product-Moment Correlation Coefficient (PMCC) value. © 2011 IEEE.

Recommender systems play an important role in online activities by making personalized recommendations to users, as finding what users are looking for among an enormous number of items in huge databases is a tedious job. The most popular recommender systems employ collaborative filtering algorithms. These methods require large amounts of training data, which cause scalability problems. One approach to solve the scalability problem is to use clustering algorithms. However, employing clustering algorithms does not always yield accurate results. We believe that by combining more accurate clustering techniques, rather than the traditional methods, with collaborative filtering algorithms, the accuracy and scalability of the recommender system will be improved. In this paper we propose a hybrid recommender system, which is composed of a density-based user clustering method based on users' demographic information and user-based collaborative filtering. Experiments have been conducted to evaluate our approach using MovieLens dataset. The experimental results have shown that the proposed method improves accuracy as well as scalability. © 2011 AICIT.

AI-optimized electrochemical aptasensors are transforming diagnostic testing by offering high sensitivity, selectivity, and rapid response times. Leveraging data-driven AI techniques, these sensors provide a non-invasive, cost-effective alternative to traditional methods, with applications in detecting molecular biomarkers for neurodegenerative diseases, cancer, and coronavirus. The performance metrics outlined in the comparative table illustrate the significant advancements enabled by AI integration. Sensitivity increases from 60 to 75 % in ordinary aptasensors to 85–95 %, while specificity improves from 70-80 % to 90–98 %. This enhanced performance allows for ultra-low detection limits, such as 10 fM for carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and 20 fM for mucin-1 (MUC1) using Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS), and 1 pM for prostate-specific antigen (PSA) with Differential Pulse Voltammetry (DPV). Similarly, Square Wave Voltammetry (SWV) and potentiometric sensors have detected alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) at 5 fM and epithelial cell adhesion molecule (EpCAM) at 100 fM, respectively. AI integration also enhances reproducibility, reduces false positives and negatives (from 15-20 % to 5–10 %), and significantly decreases response times (from 10-15 s to 2–3 s). These advancements improve data processing speeds (from 10 to 20 min per sample to 2–5 min) and calibration accuracy (<2 % margin of error compared to 5–10 %), while expanding application scope to multi-target biomarker detection. This review highlights how these advancements position AI-optimized electrochemical aptasensors as powerful tools for personalized treatment, point-of-care testing, and continuous health monitoring. Despite a higher cost ($500-$1,500/unit), their enhanced portability and diagnostic performance promise to revolutionize healthcare, environmental monitoring, and food safety, ultimately improving public health outcomes. © 2024

Quality of Service (QoS) of video streaming service over wireless and mobile network is determined by many intermingled factors. Some of the factors can be adjusted. Video resolution, audio rate, and bandwidth are among of them. Other factors are not fully controllable such as network throughput, delay, and packet lost probability. In order to increase user satisfaction, efforts to make better quality of video services should consider these factors. However, user-perceived quality of the service is not only determined by QoS factors. User experience, user expectation and user interest to specific content are among factors that influence level of user satisfaction. In this context, customer satisfaction is known as Quality of user Experience (QoE). Moreover, there is a nonlinearity issue regarding improvement of QoS and QoE. This paper will discuss a holistic view of video service quality in order to elaborate the nonlinearity of QoS and QoE factors and their contribution to enhance user satisfaction. © 2011 IEEE.
