End-to-end text spotting aims to integrate scene text detection and recognition into a unified framework. Dealing with the relationship between the two sub-tasks plays a pivotal role in designing effective spotters. Although Transformer-based methods eliminate the heuristic post-processing, they still suffer from the synergy issue between the sub-tasks and low training efficiency. Besides, they overlook the exploring on multilingual text spotting which requires an extra script identification task. In this paper, we present DeepSolo++, a simple DETR-like baseline that lets a single Decoder with Explicit Points Solo for text detection, recognition, and script identification simultaneously. Technically, for each text instance, we represent the character sequence as ordered points and model them with learnable explicit point queries. After passing a single decoder, the point queries have encoded requisite text semantics and locations, thus can be further decoded to the center line, boundary, script, and confidence of text via very simple prediction heads in parallel. Furthermore, we show the surprisingly good extensibility of our method, in terms of character class, language type, and task. On the one hand, our method not only performs well in English scenes but also masters the transcription with complex font structure and a thousand-level character classes, such as Chinese. On the other hand, our DeepSolo++ achieves better performance on the additionally introduced script identification task with a simpler training pipeline compared with previous methods. Extensive experiments on public benchmarks demonstrate that our simple approach achieves better training efficiency compared with Transformer-based models and outperforms the previous state-of-the-art. For example, on ICDAR 2019 ReCTS for Chinese text, our method boosts the 1-NED metric to a new record of 78.3%. Object detection is a fundamental component of computer vision, playing a pivotal role in various applications. However, the accurate detection of small and densely distributed objects remains a challenging problem in this field. This challenge is particularly exacerbated in the context of aerial imagery, characterized by its distinctive bird’s-eye view, intricate backgrounds, and the variability in object appearances. This paper addresses these persistent challenges in object detection, with a focus on the specific difficulties posed by aerial images. We propose a deformable end-to-end object detection with transformers (DETR)-based framework to enhance small object detection accuracy, ultimately contributing to improved computer vision capabilities in domains like remote sensing, surveillance, and autonomous aerial systems. Firstly, in order to aggregate the entire input sequence information in the backbone network and improve the detection accuracy of small objects, we propose DMCA based on deformable features and attention mechanisms. Secondly, in order to capture and model the relationships between samples for dense pixel-level representations in small objects and improve the detection accuracy of small objects, we try to introduce BatchEncoder by implementing an encoder in the batch dimension. Experimental results show that, compared to the baseline, our method significantly improves the accuracy of small object detection in aerial images. The processing and analysis of a large amount of remote sensing data require powerful computing power. The computing power Internet can integrate the scattered computing resources to provide flexible and scalable computing power to meet the computing needs of different sizes and types.

Unified stream and batch computing (USBC) aims to incorporate stream and batch computation into a unified framework, thereby enabling the development of a one-stop solution for stream and batch data processing and enhancing the generalization of the framework. However, research on unified graph computing models (UGCMs) faces several challenges. First, existing UGCMs need to consider all graph information in the cache during the incremental update phase, thus leading to decreased execution efficiency. Second, existing UGCMs use fixed bytes to store nodes without considering the actual space occupied by nodes resulting in wasted memory when dealing with large graphs. This paper proposes a UGCM with Local Updates for community detection (UGCM-LU). We first implement a local update strategy to consider partial information of the graph to achieve incremental updates. Secondly, we also designed a byte-compression-based module to store graph data according to the space occupied by nodes. As continuous-flow microfluidic biochips technology rapidly advances, its automated synthesis methods require adapting to increasingly complex and stringent biochemical applications. In particular, with the introduction of time-sensitive bioassays, in this work, we present a timing-driven high-level synthesis method to optimize the resource efficiency of bioassays considering the time constraints. Specifically, we investigate the existing forms of time constraints and propose a corresponding flexible modeling approach based on reaction-control which can achieve downward compatibility for physical design. Additionally, we also analyze the impact of storage and wash on time constraints. The experimental results show that our method achieves efficient execution and low devices cost while satisfying time constraints.

Community evolution tracking is widely used in complex network analysis, which analyzes and identifies how communities evolve over time based on dynamic community detection. However, the current incremental dynamic community detection method has the phenomenon of ’concept drift’, which leads to inaccurate tracking of community evolution. Although some studies on dynamic community detection have proposed to perform global community detection on the network by timing or when the error information accumulates to a certain extent, this method will lead to a sudden change in community division, which will interrupt the evolution sequence of some communities and bring great difficulties to the continuous tracking of community evolution. In addition, the current community evolution tracking methods match the communities of two adjacent snapshots, and it is difficult to capture the fine-grained evolution process within the community. This paper proposes a community evolution tracking algorithm based on high-order neighbor consideration and node change identification. Firstly, based on an incremental update strategy that considers high-order neighbors, we adaptively expand the scope of incremental updates to reduce the accumulation of error information. Secondly, through the node change identification strategy to mine fine-grained community evolution events. The centralized control plane characteristic of Software Defined networking (SDN) makes it a prime target for Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks. A significant issue in network traffic data is the severe imbalance between background traffic and various types of DDoS attack traffic. To address this challenge, we propose a novel DDoS detection model based on single-class cluster oversampling and weighted ensemble method. Initially, we design a multi-strategy feature selection using variance inflation factor and recursive feature elimination. Next, we construct a single-class cluster model based on the spatial distribution of samples, and create minority class samples independently within each cluster. Finally, detection results are determined using the weight vector of each base classifier in ensemble learning. The proposed DDoS detection model's performance is validated through simulations of various DDoS attack scenarios in an SDN environment. Experimental results indicate that the proposed strategy exhibits superior performance, showing improvements in precision, recall, and F1 score compared to state-of-the-art techniques.

Recently, heterogeneous graph contrastive learning, which can mine supervision signals from the data, has attracted widespread attention. However, most existing methods employ random data augmentation strategies to construct contrastive views, which may destroy the semantic information in heterogeneous graphs. Moreover, they often select positive and negative samples based solely on node-level proximity and overlook hard samples that are difficult to distinguish from anchors. To solve the above problems, we propose a Community-Aware Heterogeneous Graph Contrastive Learning model called CAHGCL. In particular, we design an adaptive data augmentation strategy to construct views, including feature augmentation and topology augmentation. To improve the quality of samples, we propose a dynamic sample weighting strategy based on node similarity and community information, capable of identifying both hard positive samples and hard negative samples. Finally, we introduce community-level contrast to improve community cohesion. Extensive experiments and analyses demonstrate that CAHGCL consistently outperforms state-of-the-art baselines on three datasets. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

A revolutionary development in surgical practice, the incorporation of robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) into minimally invasive surgery (MIS) improves patient outcomes, safety, and precision. This review article examines the development of minimally invasive surgery (MIS) and highlights its notable advantages over open surgery, including shorter recovery periods, less discomfort following surgery, and a decreased rate of complications. The article explores the function of robotic systems, in particular the da Vinci Surgical System, which has transformed surgical operations by giving doctors more dexterity and visualization using robotic arms and high-definition 3D imagery. Additionally, the application of AI technology is explored, demonstrating how it enhances real-time decision-making, intraoperative assistance, and preoperative planning, ultimately improving surgical results. The paper also discusses the ethical and regulatory issues raised by surgical robots' growing autonomy, highlighting the necessity of strong frameworks to guarantee patient safety and fair access to these cutting-edge technologies. This study highlights how artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics have the ability to change the surgical medicine landscape by combining the most recent research and clinical practices. It also calls for continued communication among stakeholders to effectively traverse the complexity of this rapidly developing sector.

A chatbot, sometimes known as a conversational agent, is software that uses natural language to interact with people. Travelling to and from a hospital for treatment takes a lot of time for people with hectic schedules, which makes many of them disregard their health issues. People frequently postpone going to the hospital for small problems that might develop into serious illnesses. For these people, interacting with chatbots to get helpful medical information is a cost-effective, time-efficient, and convenient option. This paper suggests a framework for a machine learning-based chatbot that combines natural language, machine learning, and statistical analysis. gaining knowledge of the technologies in a Spark cluster to help create an intelligent chatbot. In this work, we conducted a thorough analysis of current literature, looking at a large number of chatbot-related papers over the last five years. Next, we introduced many related tasks to our chatbot, which uses user symptoms to predict diseases and, depending on the user’s location, recommends hospitals in the area. Users will be able to easily engage with the chatbot using the system’s online interface.

In the long-term prediction of battery degradation,the data-driven method has great potential with historical data recorded by the battery management *** paper proposes an enhanced data-driven model for Lithium-ion(Li-ion)battery state of health(SOH)estimation with a superior modeling procedure and optimized *** Gaussian process regression(GPR)method is adopted to establish the data-driven estimator,which enables Li-ion battery SOH estimation with the uncertainty level.A novel kernel function,with the prior knowledge of Li-ion battery degradation,is then introduced to improve the mod-eling capability of the *** for the features,a two-stage processing structure is proposed to find a suitable partial charging voltage profile with high *** the first stage,an optimal partial charging voltage is selected by the grid search;while in the second stage,the principal component analysis is conducted to increase both estimation accuracy and computing *** of the proposed method are validated on two datasets from different Li-ion batteries:Compared with other methods,the proposed method can achieve the same accuracy level in the Oxford dataset;while in Maryland dataset,the mean absolute error,the root-mean-squared error,and the maximum error are at least improved by 16.36%,32.43%,and 45.46%,respectively.
