The 'Internet of things' is the developing technology to transfer the world into smart innovation. 'IoT' security is the most problematic issue in recent applications due to its properties including 'centralized architecture', 'limited capacity devices', and 'ambiguity'. So, blockchain with 'IoT' applications provides secure data communication compared to traditional 'IoT' applications. Blockchain is a recent growing technology that has features including 'decentralized structure', 'transparency', 'immutable records', 'increased capacity', and 'quick backtracks'. The 'cryptography hash algorithm' is very important to provide secure data transmission. It converted the different size input to fixed-size unalterable output to enhance the security. But still, it needs efficient algorithm to secure data transmission with safeguard of private key. The objective of this paper is to propose a secure hash cryptography algorithm with double encryption (SHCA-DE) to protect the private key message. Then, this proposed algorithm has been analyzed with MD5, SHA-256, and SHA3-512. From this analysis, the SHA3-512 performs well with proposed algorithm. © 2024 IEEE.

Machine Unlearning Through Fine-Grained Model Parameters Perturbation

Machine unlearning involves retracting data records and reducing their influence on trained models, aiding user privacy protection, at a significant computational cost potentially. Weight perturbation-based unlearning is common but typically modifies parameters globally. We propose fine-grained Top-K and Random-k parameters perturbed inexact machine unlearning that address the privacy needs while keeping the computational costs tractable. However, commonly used training data are independent and identically distributed, for inexact machine unlearning, current metrics are inadequate in quantifying unlearning degree that occurs after unlearning. To address this quantification issue, we introduce SPD-GAN, which subtly perturbs data distribution targeted for unlearning. Then, we evaluate unlearning degree by measuring the performance difference of the models on the perturbed unlearning data before and after unlearning. Furthermore, to demonstrate efficacy, we tackle the challenge of evaluating machine unlearning by assessing model generalization across unlearning and remaining data. To better assess the unlearning effect and model generalization, we propose novel metrics, namely, the forgetting rate and memory retention rate. By implementing these innovative techniques and metrics, we achieve computationally efficacious privacy protection in machine learning applications without significant sacrifice of model performance. Edge computing has emerged as a killer technology for a hyper-connected world due to its distributed architecture and customer-proximity property. Combined edge nodes with the cloud data center, a cloud-edge computing paradigm is formed, whose resource ecosystem calls for competitive pricing and optimal resource allocation. However, it is not feasible to realize global information-based optimization since some information is kept private to their owners. To solve this challenge, this paper develops the user-independent hierarchical reverse game and the user-assisted hierarchical reverse game to depict the relationship among the resource provider, the resource tenant, and the resource user. The aim is to seek the optimal strategies for players without revealing any private information. The common trait of both games is to force the players to report the optimal strategies based on their actual private information. This salient trait can produce privacy-preservation optimization since there is no requirement for the players to release their individual information directly, and the optimal strategies of other players can be deduced naturally. The difference between the user-independent hierarchical reverse game and the user-assisted one is that the game rules are stipulated entirely by the provider and the tenants (edge nodes) in the former, while some game rules can be customized according to the advice of users in the latter. This leads the user-independent hierarchical reverse game is more concise and easy to guarantee the incentive compatibility constraint, while the user-assisted hierarchical reverse game can attract more users since the game rules can adapt to their economic status, requirements, and preferences. © 1975-2011 IEEE.

AI-powered educational technologies are emerging as transformative forces in the quickly changing field of education, where innovation is essential to keeping ahead of the competition. Assessments are one area that is undergoing revolutionary transformation. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is redefining the way we evaluate learning outcomes as traditional evaluation approaches struggle to keep up with the demands of the digital age. The field of artificial intelligence-powered learning assessments has a lot of promising future developments ahead of it. This research proposes novel technique in assessment and evaluation based on online education system using Artificial intelligence in machine learning techniques. Here, the input has been analysed as student performance data based on online education and processed for removing of missing values with noise removal. Then this data has been analysed using spatio LSTM convolutional fuzzy neural network for classification of evaluation and assessment model. the experimental analysis has been carried out for various student performance analysis dataset in terms of training accuracy, average precision, specificity, F-measure and recall. Proposed method training accuracy 97%, Average precision 94%, F-measure 90%, RECALL 93%, SPECIFICITY 96%.

Existing indoor visible light positioning methods, such as those based on fingerprint database algorithms, are complex to construct and consume significant resources. In response to this issue, the text proposes an end-to-end indoor visible light positioning method that samples continuous signals at a small number of random coordinate positions in indoor environments. Through a deep learning method based on attention mechanism, a nonlinear mapping between the received signal and spatial position coordinates is constructed, and the time series properties in the received signal are encoded as a feature in the data. The method is further improved by combining residual networks to improve accuracy. Through simulation experiments, it has been verified that the deep learning based localization method described in this article can achieve sub meter level accuracy on small sample datasets, and it has been proven that time series features have a significant impact on localization accuracy in indoor visible light positioning algorithms based on deep learning.

Estimating brain age based on structural Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is one of the most challenging and prominent areas of research in recent medical imaging and neuroscience studies. The significance of brain age prediction in the early diagnosis of neurological disorders has fueled a resurgence of interest in this field. Various studies have addressed this issue using a spectrum of techniques, from traditional machine learning to deep neural networks. The majority of these techniques employ centralized paradigms, which do not adequately preserve privacy. To tackle this problem, a handful of studies have utilized a federated approach. In this study, we propose a novel hierarchical clustered federated learning approach that carefully captures and considers the similarities of the clients’ predictions on a certain benchmark dataset. This method enhances performance in Non-Independent and Identically Distributed (Non-IID) environments while preserving privacy. We use a multi-site dataset that provides a broad variety of MRI scans, characterizing a proper Non-IID environment. Our method achieves a Mean Absolute Error (MAE) of 3.86, while the non-clustered FedAvg federated approach attains a 4.14 MAE on the test set. 1 1 Code is available at https://***/Abtinmy/Clustered-FL-BrainAGE.

Chatbot platforms, e.g., Facebook and Line, have revolutionized human interaction in the digital age. In order to develop an automatic chatbot classification, there are several challenges especially for Thai chat messages. Conversational messages are usually short and ambiguous. Therefore, it is difficult to find a dataset for constructing an effective classification model. To address the limited size of the dataset, data augmentation techniques can be possibly applied. data augmentation involves generating synthetic messages by applying various transformations to existing data samples while preserving their original meaning. In this study, the size and diversity of the dataset is increased by two methods, i.e., text augmentation using word2vec from Thai2Fit and English-Thai machine translation models proposed by VISTEC. Based on the augmented messages, a Deep Learning technique, BiLSTM, is used to construct a chatbot classification model. Recently, a new concept called multiplicative differential was introduced by Ellingsen et al. [7]. As an extension of the differential uniformity, it is theoretically appealing to determine the properties of c-differential uniformity and the corresponding c-differential spectrum. In this paper, based on certain quadratic character sums and two special elliptic curves over $$\mathbb {F}_p$$ , the $$(-1)$$ -differential spectra of the following two classes of power functions over $$\mathbb {F}_{p^n}$$ is completely determined: (1) $$f_1(x)=x^{\frac{p^n+3}{2}}$$ , where $$p>3$$ and $$p\equiv 3\pmod 4$$ ; (2) $$f_2(x)=x^{p^n-3}$$ , where $$p>3$$ . The obtained result shows that the $$(-1)$$ -differential spectra of $$f_1(x)$$ and $$f_2(x)$$ can be expressed explicitly in terms of n. Moreover, an upper bound of the c-differential uniformity of $$f_2(x)$$ is given.

Bidirectionally Guided Large Language Models for Consumer-Centric Personalized Recommendation

With the increasing abundance of consumer electronics, consumers are facing the challenge of information overload, making personalized recommendation systems (RSs) crucial for enhancing consumer experience and promoting sales. Recently, LLM-driven RSs have attracted widespread attention. Nevertheless, the application of LLMs in recommendation still encounters challenges: how to effectively integrate user/item content (CT) and collaborative filtering (CF) information;how to effectively process heterogeneous token sequences;and how to efficiently generate recommendations. Therefore, we propose BGLLM4Rec, a bidirectionally guided LLM for recommendation. Specifically, a bidirectionally guided pre-training strategy is proposed to extend user/item ID tokens into the vocabulary of the pre-trained LLM, and leverage both CF LLM and CT LLM to learn their embedding representations. Meanwhile, a heterogeneous-homogeneous (Het-Hom) prompting strategy is proposed to decompose the input sequence into heterogeneous prompt and homogeneous main text parts, performing language modeling solely on the latter to enhance modeling effectiveness and stability. Finally, a recommendation-specific masked prompting fine-tuning strategy is employed to further refine the pre-trained CF LLM, enabling the efficient generation of multiple recommended items without hallucinations. Extensive experiments conducted on three public datasets have demonstrated that BGLLM4Rec exhibits exceptional performance in recommendation tasks. © 1975-2011 IEEE.

Path optimization method for the sign problem caused by fermion determinant

The path optimization method with machine learning is applied to the one-dimensional massive lattice Thirring model, which has the sign problem caused by the fermion determinant. This study aims to investigate how the path optimization method works for the sign problem. We show that the path optimization method successfully reduces statistical errors and reproduces the analytic results. We also examine an approximation of the Jacobian calculation in the learning process and show that it gives consistent results with those without an approximation. Copyright © 2025, The Authors.
