The search for exotic particles is one of the most challenging topics for physicists. This work aims to resolve the Big data problem in the exotic particle area using the Apache Spark environment with the MLlib library. For this purpose, we analyze and discuss the performance of the following methods: Logistic Regression (LR), Decision Tree (DT), Random Forest (RF), and Gradient Boosted Tree (GBT). The results are very encouraging and prove that these proposed methods run efficiently with an Accuracy exceeding (83%). While the Gradient Boosted Tree (GBT) reaches a high AUC score 85%, better than Decision Tree (DT) and Random Forest. In this manuscript, we attempt to solve a big data problem using the "HEPMASS" dataset. Printed circuit board (PCB) measurement and repair is a challenging task that requires experience and expertise to perform. PCB diagnosis and repair shops employ skilled operators to carry out the corresponding measurement tasks using measuring instruments (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters) in order to uncover the condition of a particular product. However, these tasks are often repetitive and meticulous, and additionally, the results need to be collected and carefully documented so that the gathered experience regarding the product can be re-used when the next product of the same type arrives into the shop. Nevertheless, the diagnosis of used PCBs is less researched and current flexible automation possibilities are limited. In this paper, a novel visual servoing probe test method and measurement tool are proposed to provide a flexible solution for PCB diagnosis with a higher level of automation. The aim of the approach is to reduce the burden on the operators by carrying out the repetitive measurement tasks and automatically storing the results while leaving the responsibility of measurement profile setup to the human expert. The proposed visual servo system uses manually teached-in measurement points, where template patterns are recorded using cameras, and it is capable of compensating positioning errors in the range of a couple of millimeters. The proof of concept of the proposed method is presented through motherboard measuring experiments, with a 99.7% success rate.

Wireless Body Area networks (WBANs) are integral components of e-healthcare systems, responsible for monitoring patients' physiological states through intelligent implantable or wearable sensor nodes. These nodes collect medical data, which is then transmitted to remote healthcare facilities for thorough evaluation. Securing medical data within WBANs is paramount due to its central role in preserving patient privacy and confidentiality. Notably, Electrocardiogram (ECG) signals have recently gained prominence as pivotal elements within diverse security frameworks. Incorporating ECG signals strategically enhances the security and reliability of WBANs and broader e-healthcare systems, instilling greater trustworthiness. This survey article provides an in-depth exploration of contemporary ECG-based security schemes, adding to the scholarly discourse. The imperative to categorize these security paradigms revolves around their use of ECG signals. This categorization identifies three key domains: the first involves schemes that utilize ECG signals for cryptographic operations, encompassing key generation, agreement, management, and authentication. The second category employs steganography-based techniques, using ECG signals to conceal patients' sensitive medical data. The third category focuses on enhancing ECG signal security during data transmission. Each category is meticulously elaborated, detailing architectural foundations, notable contributions, and intrinsic security services. Furthermore, each section presents a comprehensive overview of the attributes characterizing ECG-based security frameworks. This includes insights into employed datasets, simulation environments, evaluation metrics, and inherent advantages and limitations. Expanding on this, a thorough analysis of distinctive attributes underpinning these security frameworks concludes by shedding light on potential directions for future research. © 2023 Elsevier Inc.

Multimodal large language models (MLLMs) have experienced significant advancements recently, but still struggle to recognize and interpret intricate details in high-resolution (HR) images effectively. While state-of-the-art (SOTA) MLLMs claim to process images at 4K resolution, existing MLLM benchmarks only support up to 2K, leaving the capabilities of SOTA models on true HR images largely untested. Furthermore, existing methods for enhancing HR image perception in MLLMs rely on computationally expensive visual instruction tuning. To address these limitations, we introduce HR-Bench, the first deliberately designed benchmark to rigorously evaluate MLLM performance on 4K&8K images. Through extensive experiments, we demonstrate that while downsampling HR images leads to vision information loss, leveraging complementary modalities, e.g., text, can effectively compensate for this loss. Building upon this insight, we propose Divide, Conquer and Combine, a novel training-free framework for enhancing MLLM perception of HR images. Our method follows a three-staged approach: 1) Divide: recursively partitioning the HR image into patches and merging similar patches to minimize computational overhead, 2) Conquer: leveraging the MLLM to generate accurate textual descriptions for each image patch, and 3) Combine: utilizing the generated text descriptions to enhance the MLLM's understanding of the overall HR image. Extensive experiments show that: 1) the SOTA MLLM achieves 63% accuracy, which is markedly lower than the 87% accuracy achieved by humans on HR-Bench;2) our method brings consistent and significant improvements (a relative increase of +6% on HR-Bench and +8% on general multimodal benchmarks). Information Technology (IT) has become the core of nearly every aspect of business and organizations. Effective IT governance is vital for achieving organizational goals and managing risks. This study uses COBIT 2019 to assess the SPBE application and infrastructure audit tool effectiveness. SPBE Application and Infrastructure Audit Tools are used in Indonesian central and local government agencies. SPBE aims to create a clean, efficient, transparent government system and trusted public services. The SPBE Audit Tools assist in auditing SPBE applications and infrastructures. SPBE Audit tools play a crucial role in monitoring and evaluating SPBE applications and infrastructure in Indonesia, contributing to improved IT Governance. However, effective governance requires risk management to address potential threats and vulnerabilities. COBIT 2019 is designed to support digital transformation and adapt to the dynamic changes in the IT landscape. This study uses COBIT 2019 as a framework for assessing the effectiveness of SPBE application and infrastructure audit tools in enhancing information technology governance because COBIT has more advantages compared to other frameworks. Based on the data, applications that conduct audits using SPBE Audit Tools show an improvement in the maturity level acquired each year. This suggests that SPBE Audit Tools contribute to achieving SPBE monitoring and evaluation objectives, including measuring progress, enhancing SPBE quality, and improving public services at IPPD.

The huge volumes of data produced in social media provide both new possibilities and challenges to analytics. The present paper emphasizes Big data analytics and Machine Learning (ML) methods to uncover trends, patterns, and user behavior from social media-related data. Such vital concepts, like the 'Four Vs' of Big data: Volume, Velocity, Variety, and Veracity, and innovative tools for datacollection, storage, and preprocessing are covered here as well. Sentiment analysis, trend forecasting, and user behaviormodeling are some of the examples of what is possible using ML and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for deriving actionable insights. Marketing campaigns, crisis communications, and political campaigns are some of the scenarios that are covered to bring out real world applications of such technologies, along with their transformative effects. Lastly, data privacy, quality, and scalability issues are noted, along with ethical concerns and biases. Directions for the future point to developments in real-time data analysis, anonymization, and the changing role of AI in social media platforms. This research emphasizes the significance of Big data and machine learning in driving innovation and decision-making in the digital era. © 2025 IEEE.

Nowadays, the Corona Virus outbreak in 2019 (COVID-19) has become a global pandemic. The public must implement health protocols to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Trends show that the number of COVID-19 is increasing over time. This study proposes and develops a smart model to detect COVID-19 Health protocol violators in vehicles. This model can detect violations of the use of masks and social distancing in vehicles. The proposed model is a combination of the YOLO object detection method and the Hourglass architecture. The experimental results of the proposed model can detect violations with a high success rate. Here, the standard YOLOv4 detection model as baseline yields an mAP of 0.87 for validation and 0.74 for test data. On the other hand, the proposed method produces an mAP of 0.92 on the validation data, 0.78 on the test data. From these results, this smart model is quite promising to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Movable Antenna-Aided Hybrid Beamforming for Multi-User Communications

In this correspondence, we propose a movable antenna (MA)-aided multi-user hybrid beamforming scheme with a sub-connected structure, where multiple movable sub-arrays can independently change their positions within different local regions. To maximize the system sum rate, we jointly optimize the digital beamformer, analog beamformer, and positions of subarrays, under the constraints of unit modulus, finite movable regions, and power budget. Due to the non-concave/non-convex objective function/constraints, as well as the highly coupled variables, the formulated problem is challenging to solve. By employing fractional programming, we develop an alternating optimization framework to solve the problem via a combination of Lagrange multipliers, penalty method, and gradient descent. Numerical results reveal that the proposed MA-aided hybrid beamforming scheme significantly improves the sum rate compared to its fixed-position antenna (FPA) counterpart. Moreover, with sufficiently large movable regions, the proposed scheme with sub-connected MA arrays even outperforms the fully-connected FPA array. Copyright © 2024, The Authors.
