The need for software improvement is growing widely due to the demand for technology development. The issues that arise by expanding the software processes in the workplace are expense, lack of understanding, time constrained, and lack user experience. This research paper focuses on proposing a framework for integrating design thinking into software process improvement. The secret to project success may lie in fusing methodological and reusable approaches with human-centric techniques. A mixed-methods research strategy is proposed to compile thorough information and reach conclusions. In addition, it incorporates components of both qualitative and quantitative research (secondary research and descriptive analysis). The assumption is that the existing model significantly affects the user satisfaction variable. This indicates a statistically significant association between the individual's experience (number of years) and design thinking integration into the software process improvement. The article proposes a method that allows to solve the complex combinatorial problem of structural optimization of an artificial neural network with a large dimension of the space of optimization parameters using the stochastic mutation function with a constant coefficient of variation. A study on assessment of applicability of this approach to solve the problem is given. This method is proposed to be used for the forecasting of time series values.

In collaborative deep learning, current learning frameworks follow either a centralized architecture or a distributed architecture. Whilst centralized architecture deploys a central server to train a global model over the massive amount of joint data from all parties, distributed architecture aggregates parameter updates from participating parties' local model training, via a parameter server. These two server-based architectures present security and robustness vulnerabilities such as singlepoint-of-failure, single-point-of-breach, privacy leakage, and lack of fairness. To address these problems, we design, implement, and evaluate a purely decentralized privacy-preserving deep learning framework, called DPPDL. DPPDL makes the first investigation on the research problem of fairness in collaborative deep learning, and simultaneously provides fairness and privacy by proposing two novel algorithms: initial benchmarking and privacy-preserving collaborative deep learning. During initial benchmarking, each party trains a local Differentially Private Generative Adversarial Network (DPGAN) and publishes the generated privacy-preserving artificial samples for other parties to label, based on the quality of which to initialize local credibility list for other parties. The local credibility list reflects how much one party contributes to another party, and it is used and updated during collaborative learning to ensure fairness. To protect gradients transaction during privacy-preserving collaborative deep learning, we further put forward a three-layer onionstyle encryption scheme. We experimentally demonstrate, on benchmark image datasets, that accuracy, privacy and fairness in collaborative deep learning can be effectively addressed at the same time by our proposed DPPDL framework. We show that a quantum spin system has an exact free-parafermion solution if its frustration graph is an oriented indifference graph. Further, we show that if the frustration graph of a model can be dipath oriented via switching operations, then the model is integrable in the sense that there is a family of commuting independent set charges. Additionally, we establish an efficient algorithm for deciding whether this is possible. Our characterisation extends that given for free-fermion solvability. Feature selection has become very vital aspect in musical instruments sounds for handling the problem of 'curse of dimensionality'. Various feature selection techniques have been applied in this domain focusing on Western musical instruments sounds. However, study on feature selection using rough sets of non-Western musical instruments sounds including Malay Traditional musical instruments is inadequate and still needs an intensive research. Thus, in this paper, an alternative feature selection technique using rough set theory based on Maximum Degree of dependency of Attributes (MDA) technique for Traditional Malay musical instruments sounds is proposed. The modeling process comprises eight phases: data acquisition, sound editing, data representation, feature extraction, data discretization, data cleansing, feature selection using proposed technique and feature validation via classification. The results show that the performance of the best 17 selected features is increase up to 99.82% and 98.03% with 1-NN and PART classifiers respectively. © Springer-Verlag (2010).

The integration of terrestrial and satellite wireless communication networks offers a practical solution to enhance network coverage, connectivity, and cost-effectiveness. Moreover, in today’s interconnected world, connectivity’s reliable and widespread availability is increasingly important across various domains. This is especially more crucial for applications like the Internet of Things (IoT), remote sensing, disaster management, and bridging the digital divide. However, allocating the limited network resources efficiently and ensuring seamless handover between satellite and terrestrial networks present significant challenges. Therefore, this study introduces a resource allocation framework for integrated satellite-terrestrial networks to address these challenges. The framework leverages local cache pool deployments and non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) to reduce time delays and improve energy efficiency. Our proposed approach utilizes a multi-agent enabled deep deterministic policy gradient algorithm (MADDPG) to optimize user association, cache design, and transmission power control, resulting in enhanced energy efficiency. The approach comprises two phases: User Association and Power Control, where users are treated as agents, and Cache Optimization, where the satellite (Bs) is considered the agent. Through extensive simulations, we demonstrate that our approach surpasses conventional single-agent deep reinforcement learning algorithms in addressing cache design and resource allocation challenges in integrated terrestrial-satellite networks. Specifically, our proposed approach achieves significantly higher energy efficiency and reduced time delays compared to existing methods. This research highlights the importance and addresses the need for efficient resource allocation and cache design in integrated terrestrial-satellite networks, paving the way for enhanced connectivity and improved network performance in various applications. The increasing demand for massive connectivity and high data rates has made the efficient use of existing spectrum resources an increasingly challenging problem. Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) is a potential solution for future heterogeneous networks (HetNets) due to its high capacity and spectrum efficiency. In this study, we analyze an uplink NOMA-enabled vehicular-aided HetNet, where multiple vehicular user equipment (VUEs) share the access link spectrum, and a high-altitude platform (HAP) communicates with roadside units (RSUs) through a backhaul communication link. We propose an improved algorithm for user association that selects VUEs for HAPs based on channel coefficient ratios and terrestrial VUEs based on a caching-state backhaul communication link. The joint optimization problems aim to maximize a utility function that considers VUE transmission rates and cross-tier interference while meeting the constraints of backhaul transmission rates and QoS requirements of each VUE. The joint resource allocation optimization problem consists of three sub-problems: bandwidth allocation, user association, and transmission power allocation. We derive a closed-form solution for bandwidth allocation and solve the transmission power allocation sub-problem iteratively using Taylor expansion to transform a non-convex term into a convex one. Our proposed three-stage iterative algorithm for resource allocation integrates all three sub-problems and is shown to be effective through simulation results. The Long-Term Evolution (LTE) system was presented by the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP), to assure quality of service (QoS) performance pertaining to non-real-time and real-time services. An effective design with regards to resource allocation scheduling involves core challenges to realise a satisfying service in an LTE system, particularly with the growing demand for network applications especially for real-time video services, which is an ongoing problem. The continuous rise in terms of the number of network’s users has resulted in impact on the performance of network, that also creates resource allocation issues when performing downlink scheduling in an LTE network. This research paper puts forward a review of the optimisation pertaining packet scheduling performance through the LTE downlink system, and presenting a new downlink-scheduling algorithm for serving video application through LTE network that accounting for QoS and channel conditions needs. A comparison of the recommended algorithm’s performance was made with algorithms are commonly used in scientific research such as Proportional Fair (PF), Modified Largest Weighted Delay First (MLWDF), Exponential PF (EXP/PF), and Exponential Rule (EXPRULE) algorithms, regards to delay, throughput, Packet Loss Ratio (PLR), and fairness for video flow. On the basis of the attained outcomes, the recommended algorithms considerably enhance the efficacy of video streaming as against the familiar LTE algorithms recommended in this research work.

Document analysis tasks, as text recognition, word spotting, or segmentation, are highly dependent on comprehensive and suitable databases for training and validation. However their generation is expensive in sense of labor and time. As a matter of fact, there is a lack of such databases, which complicates research and development. This is especially true for the case of Arabic handwriting recognition, that involves different preprocessing, segmentation, and recognition methods, which have individual demands on samples and ground truth. To bypass this problem, we present an efficient system that automatically turns Arabic Unicode text into synthetic images of handwritten documents and detailed ground truth. Active Shape Models (ASMs) based on 28046 online samples were used for character synthesis and statistical properties were extracted from the IESK-arDB database to simulate baselines and word slant or skew. In the synthesis step ASM based representations are composed to words and text pages, smoothed by B-Spline interpolation and rendered considering writing speed and pen characteristics. Finally, we use the synthetic data to validate a segmentation method. An experimental comparison with the IESK-arDB database encourages to train and test document analysis related methods on synthetic samples, whenever no sufficient natural ground truthed data is available. © 2015 Laslo Dinges et al.
