Image encryption is an essential field between computer vision and security which aims to protect the image before future attacks. Nowadays, it is threatened by quantum computers, which can break some classical cryptography. The encryption system has been upgraded from quantum key exchange protocol to post-quantum key-establishment mechanisms, but they are not explicitly designed for the image encryption task. In this paper, we propose a hybrid quantum-classical theoretical framework and its instance AKQ system which is more secure and suitable in the post-quantum era. © 2023 IEEE.

Examination timetabling is a complicated issue that is part of the larger field of scheduling. Timetabling comes in a variety of forms based on the field, for which it is used. In this paper, we explore the problem of exam timetabling in a university. This problem had been defined as difficult to solve since it is generally done by hand over several days or weeks of iterative correction based on feedback from staff and students. We designed a computer-based application to generate an automated exam scheduler that was implemented on the data collected from the faculty of science at Omar Al-Mukhtar University. We study the problem of examination scheduling for the faculty intensely and propose a genetic algorithm based on a strategy for generating examination schedules that prioritize students' achievement while meeting the hard constraints required for feasibility. Finally, an application entitled 'Examination Scheduler' has been developed and evaluated to confirm that it generates satisfactory results. © 2022 IEEE.

The rise in demand for real-time applications, such as live streaming, online gaming, and Internet telephony, has highlighted the necessity for transport protocols that offer low latency and network stability. Traditional protocols, namely Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) and User Datagram Protocol (UDP), have inherent limitations. TCP ensures reliable data delivery but suffers from latency, making it unsuitable for real-time needs, while UDP provides fast data transmission but lacks congestion control, which can lead to network instability. This gap underscores the need for a protocol that combines high-speed data transfer with effective congestion management. To address this issue, the Internet engineering Task Force (IETF) introduced the Datagram Congestion Control Protocol (DCCP), designed to optimize data delivery speed while managing congestion. This study evaluates DCCP's performance against TCP in network scenarios of 8 and 16 nodes using the NS2 simulation environment. By comparing throughput and delay across various bandwidth and latency settings, the study finds that DCCP offers up to 35% higher throughput in 8-node setups and reduces packet loss by 20% in high-bandwidth scenarios. These results suggest that DCCP is well-suited for real-time applications, achieving a crucial balance between fast data transmission and network stability. © 2024 IEEE.

Applications that support multimedia data such as medical pictures and videos, video broadcasting, and secure video conferencing consume vast quantities of information that require large numbers of servers to provide services for the many client users who access them. Cloud-based sensitive data becomes increasingly important for the respective users to be kept confidential without infringing confidentiality, integrity, and availability. We propose a framework based on the OpenStack cloud-computing platform for multimedia data security. A prototype framework with a helper tool EncSwift is implemented, which allows stringent data access control and applying the data-at-rest Over-Encryption approach. The implementation is evaluated for computation of cryptography operations, cost of communications, and update policy consequences for the framework. With OpenStack Swift’s open source and modular design, our multimedia data management and management framework is well suited to protecting and managing clouds’ multimedia with low computational costs as shown in the experimental results. © 2023 IEEE.

User Experience (UX) evaluation has a significant importance for any interactive application. Mobile device applications have additional limitations to convey good user experiences (UX) due to the usage and features of mobile devices in ubiquitous computing contexts. There are a lot of automated tools available for evaluating, such applications particularly developed for Android and iOS. Automated UX evaluation provides a number of strengths which are able to overcome the limitations of non-automated (moderated) counterparts. Automated UX evaluation is regarded as unexplored field, especially when it is adopted for the UX evaluation of complex mobile application. Despite these, automated UX evaluation tools are unexplored and should only be used in coupling with traditional UX evaluation techniques. Hence, this study aims to discuss the literature in automated UX evaluation and to highlight the UX measurements that merit further investigation. This paper presents the most fre-quently used automated UX evaluation tools for mobile applications. Therefore, the study analyzes existing automated UX tools and frameworks and identifies which UX attributes and measurements of automated UX evaluation are likely to be of use in future research. Moreover, we discuss the strengths and limitations of automated UX evaluation methods for mobile applications. Finally, the paper provides an overview of automated UX evaluation techniques and tools. The concept of Digital Twin has been widely used by researchers to represent physical entities in computer-generated reality in the metaverse. In this research, a novel concept of 'Mobile Twin' is coined. Mobile Twin serves as a replica of a mobile device in the virtual environment enabling communication. The purpose of introducing Mobile Twin in the metaverse is to bring mobility and benefits similar to tangible mobile devices while eliminating the need for individual energy sources, storage limitations, resource usage, and efficiency. The true benefits of a mobile twin can be achieved with an architecture where computing nodes are decentralized, data processing is near the network's edge with faster response times and reduced latency. For this purpose, the mobile twin-based applications of metaverse are built over edge computing-based network architecture. This idea introduced the aspect of 'Revolutionary Ultra-low latency (RULL)' in the metaverse. © 2024 IEEE.

Deep learning applications for medical image classification have shown remarkable promise, particularly incorporating attention-based neural networks. This is particularly relevant in medical imaging, where the integration of Artificial Intelligence assists with various imaging tasks, including classification, segmentation, and detection. Deep learning is revolutionizing medical research and playing a significant role in advancing personalized clinical treatment. However, the lack of interpretability in these models presents a significant obstacle to their adoption in clinical practice. Therefore, there is a growing need for a comprehensive understanding of artificial intelligence systems and their internal mechanisms, capabilities, and limitations, which is the focus of the field of explainable AI. This study proposes a novel attention-based explainable deep learning framework for medical image classification tasks, including Covid-19, breast cancer (BreakHis), lung cancer (LC2500), and Retinal optical coherence tomography (OCT). The proposed framework recorded overall accuracies of 98% (Covid-19 Radiography), 95% (BreakHis), 99.8% (LC2500), and 95%(OCT). For visual analysis of the outcomes, we employ and use the LIME, SHAP, and ELI-5 to analyze the achieved results. The study's primary goal is to bridge the gap between the high performance achieved by attention-based models and the necessity for transparency and interpretability in medical image diagnostics. © 2023 IEEE.

File labeling techniques have a long history in analyzing the anthological trends in computational *** situation becomes worse in the case of files downloaded into systems from the ***,most users either have to change file names manually or leave a meaningless name of the files,which increases the time to search required files and results in redundancy and duplications of user ***,no significant work is done on automated file labeling during the organization of heterogeneous user files.A few attempts have been made in topic ***,one major drawback of current topic modeling approaches is better *** rely on specific language types and domain similarity of the *** this research,machine learning approaches have been employed to analyze and extract the information from heterogeneous corpus.A different file labeling technique has also been used to get the meaningful and`cohesive topic of the *** results show that the proposed methodology can generate relevant and context-sensitive names for heterogeneous data files and provide additional insight into automated file labeling in operating systems.

Numerous disabilities such as deaf and mute are suffered from not being capable of communicating with normal people, it is necessary to find a way to solve this problem. A feasible method is Sign Language Recognition (SLR) which is a sort of pattern recognition technique. In this paper, machine learning and deep learning methods are applied to recognize and classify American Sign Language (ASL), and only 24 English letters are classified because letter J and Z require fingers to move. First, Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and manifold algorithms are used to do dimension reduction to accelerate the training of machine learning and visualize it. Second, various machine learning methods such as Random Forest Classification (RFC), K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN), Gaussian Naïve Bayes (GNB), Support Vector Machine (SVM), and Stochastic Gradient Descent (SGD) are applied to classify the pattern. Since the SVM algorithm has several hyperparameters, this study uses the Grid Search method to find the best combination of hyperparameter which lead to predicting more accurately. It is found that different dimensionality reduction algorithms have unequal effects on the accuracy of each prediction model, and it can be concluded that the manifold algorithm is the best dimension reduction algorithm only for KNN but not for other prediction models, and PCA is much more feasible than KNN applied in such machine learning algorithms except KNN. Two deep learning algorithms such as Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and Deep Neural Networks (DNN) are also used in classification and their accuracy is highest among such algorithms mentioned above. © 2022 IEEE.

Speech Recognition focuses on developing advanced technologies that can recognize and translate spoken language into text. Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) is an Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology that captures human voice from a mi-crophone and analyzes it based on spoken words to comprehend natural language. In Ethiopia, ASR models have been developed for specific local languages such as Amharic, Tigrigna, Wolaytta, and Afaan Oromo, but there has been a lack of research on ASR models for the Hadiyyisa language, which is also spoken in Ethiopia. The research study designed and developed an ASR model for the Hadiyyisa language. The researchers collected data from native speakers of the Hadiyyisa language and used Python programming to design and develop the deep learning model for the Hadiyissa ASR model. Different methods and techniques were used in the study to achieve the research objectives and complete the entire research process. The proposed model utilized deep learning algorithms including RNN, LSTM, BiLSTM, and CNN, along with suitable feature extraction techniques such as Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC). The accuracy of the proposed ASR model was evaluated through experimentation, which demonstrated that the BiLSTM model outperformed the other deep learning models with an overall accuracy of 90.95 % Based on the experimental evidence, the proposed model was found to be better suited for ASR for the Hadiyyisa language. © 2023 IEEE.
