Personalized patient representation learning (PPRL) is a critical element in clinical risk prediction. It aims to obtain a complete portrait of each patient based on Electronic Health Records (EHR). Although existing works have achieved remarkable progress in healthcare prediction, there are still three major issues. First, feature correlation is crucial for risk prediction, but it has not yet been fully exploited by existing works. Second, variation pattern of dynamic feature contains useful information about patient's physical status, but adaptive pattern recognition is still a challenge. Third, existing works usually adopt a two-stage embedding process to process each dimension of the EHR data. However, some useful low-level information for PPRL will be lost. To address these issues, in this paper, we propose a fine-grained PPRL architecture named FG RL- N et for clinical risk prediction based on EHR. Specifically, we propose a Medical Feature Correlation Detection Module (FCM) to effectively learn the feature correlations for each patient and a Temporal Variation Pattern Recognition Module (TVM) to effectively detect the variation patterns of each dynamic feature. Moreover, we design a Fine-Grained Representation Mechanism (FGRM) to preserve the low-level information (from both feature and visit dimensions) useful for risk prediction. In addition, in the stage of data preprocessing, We utilize generic medical classification knowledge to classify numerical dynamic data. We conduct the in-hospital mortality experiment and the decompensation experiment on a real-world dataset. The experiment results show that the FGRL-Net outperforms state-of-the-art approaches. VGIS (Virtual Geographic Information System) Platform is a unified oilfield operations management platform based on MaaS (Management as a Service) that integrates advanced technologies such as AIoT (Artificial Intelligence & Internet of Things), GIS (Geographic Information System), Digital Twin, and AR (Augmented Reality)/ VR (Virtual Reality). The VGIS platform connects, collects, integrates, analyses, and acts on disparate data sources to provide the oilfield with a centralized view to help make informed decisions fast, bring operational visibility across all assets to improve safety and operational efficiency, reduce costs and improve margins, provide comprehensive analytics and decision support, increase business agility, and reduce management complexity. This is a case study of the application of the VGIS platform Majnoon oilfield, Basrah, Iraq. VGIS digital transformation, production process, and KPIs (Key performance indicators) are highly managed taking oilfield management to a higher level globally, in this study, the objective is to address and resolve the issue of high costs associated with using cloud services by utilising a local Data Center (a large group of networked computer servers typically used by organizations for the remote storage, processing, or distribution of large amounts of data). This approach involves directly uploading 3D maps to ensure faster service on the intranet, eliminating the need to pay for cloud *** aims providing a platform for researching and implementing monitoring and controlling processes in a more convenient and remote manner. The vGIS platform has emerged as a crucial instrument in the realm of disaster response and crisis management. This technology enables responders to rapidly evaluate, analyse, and respond to crucial information in real-time. The neurological condition epilepsy is demanding and even fatal. Electroencephalogram (EEG)-based epilepsy detection still faces various difficulties. EEG readings fluctuate, and different patients have various seizure activity patterns. EEG signal detection is time-consuming and labour-intensive, which puts a strain on medical staff and raises the possibility of erroneous detections. Usually, electrodes are inserted into the scalp or inside the brain for a brief period of time in order to obtain EEG data. It is essential to research efficient cross-patient automatic epilepsy detection techniques. The multi-head self-attention mechanism recognises long-distance dependencies with the same proficiency as it does temporal dynamic correlations between short-term temporal pattern characteristics and sequential relationships. The contextual representations are inputted into a bidirectional long short-term memory network (BiLSTM) so that information can be extracted in both directions. Classification and training are carried out utilising the log SoftMax algorithm. The experiments utilised scalp EEG data from the CHB-MIT database. Sensitivity, specificity, F1-score, and accuracy were computed to be 96.5 percent, 97.04 percent, 96.6 percent, and 96.2 percent, respectively. The results of the experiment show how well the technique works for detecting seizures in several patients utilising multi-channel EEG recordings. The results also demonstrate the method's improved generalisation capabilities and resilience and consistency in collecting seizure patterns. This is particularly critical for the tertiary diagnosis of epilepsy, and the findings indicate that the proposed method significantly improves the accuracy of detection. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

Recently, Flaky Tests have gotten the attention of the research community. These tests not only waste time and resources, but also undermine the reliability of the automated tests and hence the software systems are affected. So, the detection of Flaky Tests is very important and has a wide audience from both industry and academia. In addition, the research work is very promising having a great potential for the contribution that maps to a true value added to the up-to-date industry projects. Although lots of effort has been done to detect Flakiness in the software systems, the majority of the existed works focuses on different techniques in isolation. The aim of the work in this paper is to overlook the existed flakiness detection techniques, try to analyze them, and hold a comparison, indicating the proper context for each one. Most of the existed flakiness detection techniques are done on unit tests and library/technical projects. According to the comparative study among these techniques, it is found gaps and wide potential for contribution. On the other hand, flakiness detection techniques can be clustered under three main headers; First, study the phenomena under different testing levels by trying to focus on projects with integration, system, and end-toend tests. Second, study the phenomena under different Project types and data sets by studying business projects with user interfaces and mobile applications and so on. Third, study the phenomena toward a faster delivery cycle by studying flake tests in the context of parallel execution and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD). We can conclude that not all detection techniques have the same potential where some techniques are very competent while others still struggle to achieve considerable efficiency.

Farmers all over the world struggle to fight plant diseases. However, the incorrect use of pesticides can waste time, effort, and money and can also be very harmful to the environment and human health. In this work, we present an empirical study that involves identifying two pathogens related to Cucumbers plant diseases: Powdery Mildew and Alternaria Cucumerina. The study aims to develop a computer-based solution based on deep learning and machine learning algorithms to detect these diseases. To achieve this, a dataset of hundreds of samples was collected from ordinary farms in Beqaa, an agricultural region 15 KM north of Amman, Jordan. Three machine learning models were created in this study using Support Vector Machines (SVM), Logistic Regression (LR), and Multi-layer perceptron algorithms. The constructed models were applied to the dataset after embedding the dataset images using the Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) InceptionV3 pre-trained model. The model was tested and evaluated using cross-evaluation and F1-Score, CA, AUC, Precision, Recall, and Specificity, which all showed excellent results, particularly using the SVM algorithm. The constructed methods are intended to be deployed to farms in their field condition environments using a CCTV system that can capture images of plants during growth, which can help identify plant diseases at that right stage, which would save time, effort, and money and reduce the impact of wrong and overuse of pesticides on consumers and the environment. © 2024 IEEE.

With the pandemic, coaching or tutoring classes became to halt as the underlying system wasn't facilitating to adapt to emergency teaching mechanisms due to sparse of relevant technologies and tutor unawareness. SmartCoach is an integrated platform that allows students to find suitable tutors based on recommendations and other parameters like proximity, previous track record etc. using sentiment analysis and natural language processing. For tutors, SmartCoach allows publishing learning materials, automatic quiz creation, tracking attendance and, attentiveness during classes using OpenCV library. Moreover tutors get a dashboard featuring critical aspects about their classes and, personal income. This research is aimed to introduce a comprehensive distance learning platform with novel technological approaches that connect both potential students and tutors to a common platform. © 2021 IEEE.

Background and objective: Epilepsy is among the most prevalent illnesses of the central nervous system. This condition results in frequent, uncontrolled seizures that happen suddenly and are caused by a variety of trigger factors, including brain injury, physiological, genetic, etc. Involuntary spasms or distraction during seizures can cause severe bodily harm or even death for epileptics. In this paper, an effective method for accurately classifying Electroencephalogram (EEG) data for the early identification of epileptic seizures is ***: The suggested process essentially hybridizes several statistical data, discrete wavelet transformations (DWT), machine learning algorithms, and feature selection techniques independently. Through the use of DWT, the automated multi-resolution signal processing approach decomposes EEG signals into detail and approximation coefficients after splitting them into detailed parts with varying window sizes to guarantee an accurate classification performance. Statistical latent features are extracted from these coefficients that describe the nonlinear and dynamical patterns in the signals. Feature selection techniques were used to reduce the dimension of the feature matrix while highlighting the important elements. Different classifier structures were developed to classify input matrices. For all classifiers, the optimal hyperparameters were found using grid search techniques. Performance metrics for classification were calculated to assess the model's ***: In the analysis, to compare the proposed procedure with the other approaches in terms of detecting the epileptic behaviors correctly, a benchmark data set from the University of Bonn database was used. Glaucoma is a chronic and degenerative disease that causes irreversible damage to the nerve system of an eye, due to an increase in the Intra-ocular pressure in the retina. It reduces the vision area and leads to blindness. Early detection is critical to prevent permanent vision loss. The automated analysis of medical images contributes to the increase in the performance of classifying retinal images to pathological and nonpathological. This paper presents an automated glaucoma diagnosis approach by analyzing the texture of fundus images. The analysis was performed using Local Binary Pattern descriptor to represent grayscale and channels of retinal images and applied Gray Level Run-Length Matrix to describe patterns of texture. The classification was performed using two classifiers. The proposed approach provided the best classification results with 98%, 91%, and 97% of the three versions of RIM-ONE databases using Support Vector Machine classifier. Findings showed that local binary pattern representations and concatenated gray level run length matrix features achieved high results. Consequently, proving this approach is reliable and promising. © 2022 IEEE.

The performance of a battery pack is greatly affected by an imbalance between the cells. Cell balancing is a very important criterion for Battery Management System (BMS) to operate properly. This paper presents the various cell balancing topologies which have been presented by various researchers in the past years. A novel topology has also been discussed, which improves the overall efficiency of the components being used. Vehicular ad hoc networks(VANETs)provide intelligent navigation and efficient route management,resulting in time savings and cost reductions in the transportation ***,the exchange of beacons and messages over public channels among vehicles and roadside units renders these networks vulnerable to numerous attacks and privacy *** address these challenges,several privacy and security preservation protocols based on blockchain and public key cryptography have been proposed ***,most of these schemes are limited by a long execution time and massive communication costs,which make them inefficient for on-board units(OBUs).Additionally,some of them are still susceptible to many *** such,this study presents a novel protocol based on the fusion of elliptic curve cryptography(ECC)and bilinear pairing(BP)*** formal security analysis is accomplished using the Burrows–Abadi–Needham(BAN)logic,demonstrating that our scheme is verifiably *** proposed scheme’s informal security assessment also shows that it provides salient security features,such as non-repudiation,anonymity,and ***,the scheme is shown to be resilient against attacks,such as packet replays,forgeries,message falsifications,and *** the performance perspective,this protocol yields a 37.88%reduction in communication overheads and a 44.44%improvement in the supported security ***,the proposed scheme can be deployed in VANETs to provide robust security at low overheads.
