It is quite common for medical drugs and prescriptions to be misidentified by hospitals and after drugs are being dispensed to the patients. Misidentification of medical drugs is more common among elderly and visually impaired patients. In hospital organizations, the leading medical error is adverse drug events. Another most common issue patients face is keeping track of medical lab reports. Our proposed mobile medical assistant system uses image processing to identify drugs with or without packaging, identifying prescription and medical lab reports. Furthermore, the mobile application will identify the trends of medical lab reports and predict next month’s results of the medical lab report of the patient using machine learning.

Evaluation of peripheral auditory nerve system health in patients with hearing loss by auditory brainstem response (ABR) testing. Audiologists record and evaluate ABRs by manually timing and evaluating the waveforms for quality. Inaccurate assessment of ABR tests may lead to incorrect judgments regarding the integrity of the auditory nerve system;therefore, proper diagnosis and analysis are essential. In order to identify and assess ABR automation while decreasing the possibility of human error, machine learning methods, notably deep learning, may be an appropriate option. To address these issues, this study proposed deep-learning models using the transfer-learning (TL) approach to extract features from ABR testing and diagnose using support vector machines (SVM). Pre-trained convolutional neural network (CNN) architectures like AlexNet, DenseNet, GoogleNet, InceptionResNetV2, InceptionV3, MobileNetV2, NASNetMobile, ResNet18, ResNet50, ResNet101, ShuffleNet, and SqueezeNet are used to extract features from the collected ABR reported images dataset in the proposed model. It has been decided to use six measures accuracy, precision, recall, geometric mean (GM), standard deviation (SD), and area under the ROC curve to measure the effectiveness of the proposed model. According to experimental findings, the ShuffleNet and ResNet50 models' TL is effective for ABR diagnosis using an SVM classifier, with a high accuracy rate of 95% when using the 5-fold cross-validation method. © 2023, The Authors. Facial Data Minimization: Shallow Model as Your Privacy Filter

Face recognition service has been used in many fields and brings much convenience to people. However, once a user's facial data is transmitted to a service provider, the user will lose control of his/her private data. In recent years, there are various security and privacy issues due to the leakage of facial data. Although many privacy-preserving methods have been proposed, they usually fail when they are not accessible to adversaries' strategies or the complete face recognition model. Hence, in this paper, by fully considering two cases of uploading facial images and facial features, which are very typical in practical face recognition service systems, we proposed a data privacy minimization transformation (PMT) method. This method can process the original facial data based on the shallow model of the authorized face recognition model to obtain the obfuscated data. The obfuscated data cannot only maintain satisfactory performance on authorized models and restrict the performance on other unauthorized models but also prevent original privacy data from leaking by AI methods and human visual theft. Additionally, since a service provider may execute preprocessing operations on the received data, we also propose an enhanced perturbation method to improve the robustness of PMT. Besides, to authorize one facial image to multiple service models simultaneously, a multiple-restriction mechanism is proposed to improve the scalability of PMT. Finally, we conduct extensive experiments and evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed PMT in defending against face reconstruction, data abuse, and face attribute estimation attacks. These experimental results demonstrate that PMT performs well in preventing facial data abuse and privacy leakage while maintaining high face recognition accuracy. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. Due to the difficulties of brain tumor segmentation, this paper proposes a strategy for extracting brain tumors from three-dimensional MagneticResonance Image (MRI) and Computed Tomography (CT) scans utilizing3D U-Net Design and ResNet50, taken after by conventional classificationstrategies. In this inquire, the ResNet50 picked up accuracy with 98.96%, andthe 3D U-Net scored 97.99% among the different methods of deep *** is to be mentioned that traditional Convolutional Neural Network (CNN)gives 97.90% accuracy on top of the 3D MRI. In expansion, the imagefusion approach combines the multimodal images and makes a fused image toextricate more highlights from the medical images. Other than that, we haveidentified the loss function by utilizing several dice measurements approachand received Dice Result on top of a specific test case. The average mean scoreof dice coefficient and soft dice loss for three test cases was 0.0980. At thesame time, for two test cases, the sensitivity and specification were recordedto be 0.0211 and 0.5867 using patch level predictions. On the other hand,a software integration pipeline was integrated to deploy the concentratedmodel into the webserver for accessing it from the software system using theRepresentational state transfer (REST) API. Eventually, the suggested modelswere validated through the Area Under the Curve–Receiver CharacteristicOperator (AUC–ROC) curve and Confusion Matrix and compared with theexisting research articles to understand the underlying problem. ThroughComparative Analysis, we have extracted meaningful insights regarding braintumour segmentation and figured out potential gaps. Nevertheless, the proposed model can be adjustable in daily life and the healthcare domain to identify the infected regions and cancer of the brain through various imagingmodalities.

This research was conducted to develop a mobile application that provides expert solutions for the common problems faced by rubber planters in Sri Lanka. The application developed consists of four components, namely, identification of pests in immature rubber plantations and rubber nurseries; leaf disease identification; cover crop identification; and weed identification. Images taken using the mobile phone cameras are recognized using machine learning models developed using several convolutional neural network (CNN) architectures such as mobile net version 2 (MobileNet v2), VGG 16, VGG19, and residual networks (ResNet). After the images were recognized, the application will provide expert solutions and management strategies to the rubber planters. As most of the rubber plantations are located in areas with low network coverage, the application was designed to be operated in offline mode using TensorFlow lite technology.

The assessment of the well-being of the peripheral auditory nerve system in individuals experiencing hearing impairment is conducted through auditory brainstem response (ABR) testing. Audiologists assess and document the results of the ABR test. The notion of a metaverse seems hard to define but encourages the impression that it can be considered as a new virtual metaphysical landscape that somehow goes beyond our geographical locations and understanding (i.e., independent of time and space). Based on virtual reality, augmented reality, and blockchain, it is envisioned as an independent but extended world that is planned to be a digital virtuality entrenched not only in our old habits such as gaming and entertainment but also in virtual asset trade. In particular, trading is a pillar of the virtual economy, and auction houses will be crucial for Metaverse trading. This exploratory study examines the possibility of using an auction environment to improve the trading capabilities in a virtual universe. We investigate the cases of creating a virtual auction house with the potential of social trading of virtual assets with crypto coins and bartering. To this end, we built a virtual auction house and tested it initially using a set of scenarios. Our preliminary findings suggest that creating a virtual trading environment would be beneficial as an environment for buying and selling virtual assets and exploring their consequences. © 2022, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Image encryption is an essential field between computer vision and security which aims to protect the image before future attacks. Nowadays, it is threatened by quantum computers, which can break some classical cryptography. The encryption system has been upgraded from quantum key exchange protocol to post-quantum key-establishment mechanisms, but they are not explicitly designed for the image encryption task. In this paper, we propose a hybrid quantum-classical theoretical framework and its instance AKQ system which is more secure and suitable in the post-quantum era.
