The experiment was conducted to determine the Hue optical properties of the three categories of Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) namely unripe, underripe and ripe. The Nikon Coolpix 4500 digital camera with tele-converter zooming and the Keyence machine vision were used to capture the FFB images with two different settings of natural environment and direct sunlight. The species of oil palm tree used for the experiments were Elaeis Oleifera and Elaeis Guineensis Jacq. The images from the Nikon digital camera were analysed for optical properties of Red, Green, Blue (RGB) and then convert to Hue value using developed graphical user interface (GUI). The Hue values will then be compared to the value obtained from Keyence machine vision. The images of oil palm FFB in plantation were captured with setting cameras parameter namely shutterspeed which set to 0.125 seconds, image sensor's sensitivity (ISO) was set to Normal and white balance were calibrated using the standard white calibration CR-A74. The lighting intensity under oil palm canopy was simultaneously recorded and monitored using Extech Light Meter Datalogger. Using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), the ratio of test statistic of F with F critical for experiments under natural environment of oil palm plantation indicated the best differences of the hue optical properties among different maturity level of unripe, ripe and overripe FFB. Using the SAS programming for statistical analysis, the Hue and Red color values were found had significant effect to distinguish the maturity level (fm) of FFB with Pr > F are showed less than 0.01. The Green and Blue color values were not significant effect to differentiate the FFB maturity level which indicated the value of Pr > F showed 0.0243 and 0.9938 respectively. The Hue and Blue color values were not interaction with different lighting condition and the maturity level which indicated Pr > F for ml*fm showed 0.0668 and 0.1667 respectively. This paper treats two-fold symmetrical SIW directional couplers with simple structure and broadband characteristics. The proposed directional coupler consists of a rectangular cavity connected four input/output ports at its corner, and several metallic posts inserted within the cavity in order to obtain a desired property. By optimizing the circuit structure, broadband characteristics can be obtained for several directional couplers with a coupling coefficient of 0dB or 3dB. In analysis and design, SIW circuits are treated as waveguide circuits filled with dielectric material, and applied to the H-plane planar circuit approach, the segmentation method, and short-circuiting of fictitious ports. Finally, we demonstrate the validity of this design procedure by em-simulations and measurement of fabricated couplers including microstrip line to SIW transitions.

A monitored power pre-checking scheme has been proposed and implemented for the effective amplification management during lightpath reconfigurations in IP-over-CWDM networks with ROADMs. The pre-checking performance was examined in an experimental IP-over-CWDM network by reconfiguring lightpaths. As a result, the pre-checking function worked properly, and the lightpaths were reconfigured successfully even for a longer lightpath than the allowable distance, including the amplification management performance. The pre-checking function provides an effective management performance to judge which lightpaths should be amplified, before the reconfiguration.

This paper further investigates the dynamical properties of a class of basic biochemical networks modules - single substrate and single product with no inhibition (SSN) module. It is well known that the biological networks can be modelled by using different kinetics according to their reaction types. This paper introduces the SSN model under the law of mass action and proves that it can admit uniquely globally asymptotically stable positive equilibrium. Moreover, we prove that the SSN module under Hill kinetics can admit uniquely asymptotically stable positive equilibrium. It indicates some potential applications in the understanding of some biological networks modules and the design of some specific network controllers.

A model is proposed for selecting the optimal result of contractor selection under multi criteria environment. Fuzzy comparing judgment is used to tackling the vagueness and uncertainty in choosing significant preferences by decision maker regarding to the subjective opinion. Finally, the model was tested in tender evaluation processes for awarding the most beneficial contractor to perform the construction project.

Learning Object (LO) is one of the main research topics in the e-learning community in the recent years, and most researchers pay attention to the issue of Learning Object Reusability. The most obvious motivation is the economic interest of reusing learning material instead of repeatedly authoring it. In this paper we present the process of creating granular learning object for enabling the reusing of LO in e-Learning context. Reusability requires the LO to be in a fine-grain form because raw media elements are often much easier to reuse then aggregate assemblies. In other words, as the LO size decreases (lower granularity), its potential for reuse increases. A prototype of learning objects repository that contain granular LO has been developed to show the process of granularizing LO. Each of existing LO will be extracted into granular element with the metadata and the system generated unique id for each LO based on its identifier (URL of LO) and save automatically the metadata contain in the LO. These metadata will be used for searching and retrieval process of the granule LO.

This paper describes some techniques based on polygon aggregation in reducing time for visibility graph in case of many obstacles. In path planning, the approaches are commonly used such as search-based, sampling-based or combinatorial planning. And visibility graph is one of the roadmaps of combinatorial planning. Building a visibility graph is a main phase in the whole process and theoretically it takes θ(nlogn). However, with some practical applications, for example one which has a large number of obstacles, this phase is very time-consuming. With the techniques proposed, the experiment result shows that the computing time gets a reduction factor of one-third approximately when the aggregation are used in preprocessing of building visibility graph.

Psychophysiological treatment in reduced anxiety with biofeedback training for university students

Researchers found some individuals with anxiety disorders, and most of the university's students suffer from some degree of anxiety level during the academic years. Anxiety was prevalent and persistent in student's population. More than half of students with significant symptoms of anxiety do not receive treatment even over two year periods. This research offers a psychophysiological treatment to reduce anxiety through biofeedback training for university students. A total 35 students were participated during 10 th sessions training. They are students who have high anxiety level. The psychophysiological arousal was measure used beat-per-minute and breath-per-minute. Repeating measurement of ANOVA was used to evaluate during the 1 st session, 4 th session, 7 th session, and 10 th session and further compare the differences. The result shows that there is a significant change over time in the beat-per-minute and breath-per-minute through the participants. From the training, it is shown that after 10 th session, students be able to control their heartbeat and respiration to reduce anxiety level. It is concluded that the psychophysiological treatment with biofeedback training is an effective method to reduce anxiety for university students.

Representation of social anxiety among engineering students

Social anxiety can be seen in students with special needs such low self-confidence, to feel shy, difficult relationship with roommate, problem with peers, and feeling uncomfortable in hostel. The effect of social life is an important issue among students. In this paper, the representation of social anxiety was presented with different manifestation than prior studies. That was investigated among engineering students. One sample t -test was used to examine the possible dimensions of social anxiety. The data collection was used a survey. A total 770 students participated to fill the questionnaire. The students were second years on five engineering faculties in Universiti Malaysia Pahang. The social anxiety designates into seven factors include; (1) problem with peer, (2) Hostel is uncomfortable for study, (3) face problem with roommates, (4) homesick, (5) feel that campus environment uncomfortable for study, (6) racial diversity, and (7) too many roommates are making study difficult. The finding shows a significant of seven factors as creator of social anxiety among engineering students. The instrument can be use to examine social anxiety for university students was recommended.

The revolution in web world led to increasing users' needs, demands and expectations. By the time, those needs developed starting from ordinary static pages, moving on to fully dynamic ones and reaching the need for services and applications to be available on the web!.. Those demands changed the perspective of our web today to what's said to be a cloud of computing that aims mainly to provide applications as services for web user. As time goes by, applications were just not enough;users needed their applications and data available anytime, anywhere. For these reasons, traditional operating system functionality was needed to be provided as a service that integrates several applications together with user's data. In this paper we present the detailed description, implementation and evaluation of SEWOS [1]- a semantically enhanced web operating system- that provides the feel, look and mimic traditional desktop applications using desktop metaphor.
